How does Luk Siu Fung's Ling Sai 1 Finger compare to other elite finger techniques?

In the LUK SIU FUNG novel series, the title character's Ling Sai 1 Finger is known as the best finger technique in the wulin of his time...capable of stopping dead any weapon, including the blades of elite swordsmen such as Sai Mun Chui Sheut and Yip Goo Sing.

How would you rank Ling Sai 1 Finger Technique, however, against other elite finger techniques such as Shaolin's Mighty Gum Gwong Finger or the Deun Royal Family's 1 Yeung Finger Technique? Ling Sai 1 Finger seems a match and then some for the gripping/puncturing power of the Shaolin technique, but lacks the ranged attack properties of 1 Yeung Finger Technique.

It's actually a two-way skill. Yes, Luk Siu Fung primarily uses it to harmlessly stop an opponent's weapon, but he can wield the skill offensively with the effect of the sharpest, hardest blades.

Well, it is true that unlike 1 Yeung Finger/6 Mak Divine Swords, Ling Sai 1 Finger cannot be used for any kind of long-distance attack, though its ability to make the user's fingers the equivalent of the best swords/knives is still quite impressive.
