Default What "crime" did Teet Cheun Gap (LCF's butler) commit 18 years earlier?

In TVB's 1978 THE ROMANTIC SWORDSMAN adaptation of Gu Long's SENTIMENTAL SWORDSMAN, RUTHLESS SWORD, it was obliquely mentioned that Teet Cheun Gap, the butler of Lee Chum Foon, committed some "crime" or infraction eighteen years earlier, and whatever deed it was, Chiu Jing Ngor and others still held it against him eighteen years later. The series didn't specifically say what the crime/infraction was, only that Lee Chum Foon considered it a crime for which Teet had already adequately paid during his many years of exile. What "crime" or infraction did Teet Cheun Gap actually commit?

I forget the exact details, but he was accused of plotting against the eldest brother of their brotherhood which led to his death. He continuously admits that he's guilty even to Li and is willing to die, but Ah Fei upon meeting him never believed he did it. It was revealed that it was his eldest brother (or someone else he respected greatly, I really can't remember) that was the one actually involved in the shady business, and Teet would rather die and take all the blame than let the deceased's reputation be tarnished.

    Something like that anyway.

So in other words, Teet Cheun Gap was just like his master: willing to suffer for his brother.

Ironically, Teet never approved of the way that Lee sacrificed for Lung Siu Wan.

Pretty much every good guy goes through death or suffering for others during the story: Li Xunhuan, Ah Fei, Old Man Sun, Guo Songyang, etc while all the bad guys have no remorse for anything. It kind of gets pounded into your head by the end.

Even Blue Scorpion, although it wasn't shown in the serial.
