Are credit cards with only the magnetic strips accepted in Asia?

I have credit cards with magnetic strips but without the micro chips. I will be traveling to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand & maybe Taiwan. Does anyone know if they will be accepted in these countries? Thanks in advance.

I've used my VISA without a micro chip in Singapore about a year ago with no issues. I've also used it in Thailand and Taiwan about 5 years ago with no issues. I think you'll find that many vendors just don't take credit cards in general as the bigger issue.
