Post Dusty Dream (Unsure of Title Yet)

Only a dreamer can tell one, where can a music be heard the loudest. Its beat pounding from drum to heart. A hum, can be heard for miles or even days without missing a single meaning. Ask the dreamer, and he will answer, “In the desert where the softest wind can become the harshest storm. This is where music lurk and hide, waiting to be found by the one who knows it.”
And that was what happened to most traveler, who wants to follow their heart; instead they end up following their dream. Either walking or running in the desert, one feels timeless, useless because the sand remain the same no matter where or what. In the middle of every timeless travel there is always an inn where travelers rest. This is where they take off their frown and put on a smile, their burden is left cold in the corner; while these traveler laugh to their heart’s content.
There is nothing more entertaining than music in the middle of time. Music, played through the fingers of the finest storyteller, Ang Ang (Red Red)……
(Please give me comment for my beginning, I would appreciate both negative and positive comments)

    CHAPTER 1
    Intruders
Small grains of sand swirl round and round spinning and dancing as the sun begins to sink. The heat in the desert begin to die, and that’s when the doors of Red Inn opens. Travelers of all sort poured into the inn; they all seem to be impatient pushing and shoving one another. They all waited noisily in their seated table each traveler asks the same question, “When will she come? What story is she telling tonight?”
Every one of the traveler pays close attention to the top of the stairs. A small thump could be heard from above, and then all eyes caught hold of a red velvet boot. A woman in her early twenties appeared, wearing a beige white linen wrap contrasting the bright red pants. Her face was half covered with a red veil, revealing her soft round almond eyes. As she steps down the staircase she announces to her customers, “ Welcome to Red Inn, I am Ang Ang the owner. Right now I cannot continue the tale of the Burning Ice Saber.” By the time she reaches the bottom, a whoosh of wind swung right past her, and her red veil was left pinned to the wall with a chopstick. Revealing a face not pretty but charming, her smile faded into a small frown.
Ang Ang angrily snatches her veil back from the wall. “ Sorry everybody today I am not feeling too well, so my inn will be closed tonight!”

When all of Ang Ang’s customer left, she began preparing water for a good bath in the comfort of her own room. She started tying her sleeves up, and began pouring warm water into the wooden tub. Her bracelet’s bell rang softly while Ang Ang hums to the rhythm creating a small melody. Suddenly three men in black burst into her room; each men stare coldly at Ang Ang. In each of their hands are swords, swords stained with blood.
As Ang Ang’s bell stop ringing, the sounds of blood dripping blink, blink could be still be heard. Slowly she turned to face these men with a smirk on her face, “ Men these days have no respect for women. They just burst into anybody room without knocking, how rude. Just in case you men don’t know I am telling you that I want to clean myself now, so leave or watch.” She then untied the red silk ribbon in her hair, and then her bedroom’s window opened. A gust of wind swooshes in, hollering sand into the room.
Everybody covers their eyes; instead Ang Ang draws a red veil over her face covering only her nose and mouth. When the sand began to settle a man wearing a well-attired white appears wearing a handsome smile. “Greetings, hope I didn’t miss anything. I am sorry to eardrop on you Madame, but if I didn’t hear it wrong, did you say, either to leave or watch you bathe?”
He glance over at the three men, noticing that their feet are facing forward, but their heads are facing back. These men are still holding the bloodstain sword. Ang Ang quickly responds to the man in white, “No, you did not hear this wrong, if you want, you can join me.”
“I would love to join you, but… how can I….” Before he even finish his sentence a whoosh of wind blew across Ang Ang’s face. Her veil pins to the wall with a chopstick once again, another man jumped down in front of her.
He is covered from head to toe with dust, shaking vigorously to get rid of it. Ang Ang notices that he wears an olive cloak. Hooked onto his belt is a small silver chain dangling at the end of the chain is a green jade that is broken in half.
“Ang Ang, didn’t you learn your lesson? Why must I use a pair of chopstick, just for you to keep that veil off your face?” He then rushes over to the man in white, “ Oh, you are in big trouble now. Look he is now poison.”
“Poison? I have no poison with me. I don’t even know martial arts how could I poison these great martial artists?”
Ang Ang walks up closer to the man in white who is now lying on the ground; his face is now turning from red to blue. She smiles, “No, he is not poison. He is paralyze, someone like you have paralyze him on his death accupoint. Now its you who’s in trouble. Oooooo now you have to…”
Before she finishes he interrupts, “What proof do you have that I paralyze him, you didn’t even see who did it. No one saw him paralyze because this person is the fastest of the fastest in the wuxia world.”
“You are Fong Fei, the biggest bragger in the wuxia world. Proof, ha you don’t even use your brain.” She picks up a chopstick that lays next to the man in white. Quickly she searches his body for something. She picks up a golden plaque with some kind of writing on it.
After carefully inspecting it she chuckle out, “No, I think you are the one looking for trouble. Oh boy, you did it for sure, look here he is the son of Meng Chi, one of the four most greatest fighters.”
At that same moment they heard a voice from outside calling, “Young Master, are you alright? Do you need help? I can always use the searcher to find help. Master?”
“Ang Ang, I’m not sorry, but I want to say you look pretty without that veil.” He then paralyzes her causing Ang Ang whole body to freeze. Her eyes seem to be bursting with anger because she couldn’t even talk. He then hollered in a crooked voice out the window, “ You go home first, I am staying here tonight with this lady.”
“Alright master, but not like the other day… Umm, not too long I’ll be waiting for you at the usual place.”
He unparalyzes her, and immediately she slaps him. “You creep! How could you say such … words of disgrace especially with me!”
“Alrighty, I’m sorry, but if I didn’t do this that servant would call Meng Chi over. Now where’s the antidote? We need to cure him before his dad comes looking for him because its you who poisoned him.”
“I’ve already told you, I did not poison him. And what proof do you have that I poison him?”
“Only an expert like me can sense that you are up to no good. If I could remember it clearly just a moment ago, when this guy pop in you covered your lower half of your face. While these three idiots covered their eyes.”
“O.K. then when did I poisoned them?”
“Why do I have to tell you everything? Just stop denying, by the time I finish telling you there will be two more… sorry three more dead people in this room. Me, You and Him. There is poison in your hair, so when you untie that cute ribbon of yours…” He then gave her a cunning look making her feel very guilty.
“Smarty, alright I did put poison, but it didn’t circulate until this guy bust in creating a messy storm in my beautiful bedroom. Of course he helped me, but didn’t you hear him?” She pulled out a small bottle with a reddish color in it. And then poured it into the man‘s mouth. Fong Fei then unparalyzes the death accupoints on the man‘s body.
“Fong Fei watch him closely on the count of three he will spit at you…1...2...3!”
Both Ang Ang and Fong Fei could almost hear cricket chirping. For almost a full minute they both just stared at this man. Suddenly he spit out this nasty greenish kind of blood at both of them.
He drowsily wakes up asking, “Why am I here? Oh yeah, I was supposed to save an innocent lady from the hands of those three guys. Yuck! They are dead! I am Meng Han Yee known as the Charming Swordsman…” he fell limp to the ground again.
“Fong Fei, I’ll call you Fong, now we have to take him to MirrorZone this is the only place that can cure him because he is not only poisoned by me, there is another kind of venom in his body. Not to mention, you paralyzed him on his death accupoint causing the venom to circulate to his main arteries. Hurry, now we must leave before his father come looking then we are dead meat.”

I'm glad Jeh likes my story, I'll tell you something about this story that is might sound a bit out of place for many. All of the character in here is actually developed from friends that I know. They tell me what name they want, occupation, fighting skills, love ones, and then I compose it into this story that is why I call it Dusty Dream for now. So if anybody wants to be in this story of mine just tell me:
    1. The name you want.
    2. Do you want to have any special skills such as fighting technique, medicine, music etc. (many of my friends get really creative here, there is even wine maker too!)
    3. Who do you wish to pair up with.
    4. Do you want to die? (I know it sound crazy but some of my friends want sad endings)
    5. What color clothes, (sexy, cute etc...)
That is it so if anybody wants to be in here, just e-mail me or post it. My e-mail [email protected]

    CHAPTER 2
    Un-Finished Legend
Every step one takes in the desert will leave a footprint that can never disappear because it is already imprinted in the heart. Similar to the wind that cannot be seen, but leaves both love and pain behind wherever it goes. This wind carried hope and worries over the desert to Meng Yat a weaver whose silk are known as the best, but nobody ever saw it. Rumor began spreading in the wuxia world that whoever can get this silk from her loom can produce a saber non-like any because this saber is not made from metal it is made from ice. Once it is made the saber will have a mind of its own, killing even those its master cannot.
Tang Lee a well-known blacksmith, every sword he produces will be the sharpest. Some say even blood cannot stain his sword because his sword can suck it. Tang Lee heard about Meng Yat, so he traveled from Snowy Lake to find her. After two years he found Meng Yat in this very desert, Timeless Desert. She was with her loom, weaving and humming the tune to every sword’s lover’s heart. Meng Yat gave him her best silk, and was never seen again. She is like the wind and the sand, gone but her story stayed. As for Tang Lee, he followed his dream and made the Burning Ice Saber. After he defeated Lord Dark Light Tang Lee disappeared with his saber…
Ang Ang slowly puts her guitar down after finishing her tale that she haven’t finished the night before. Fong looks at her, speechless for a full minute. The glows from their campfire illuminate both their faces giving a feel of silence.
Fong somehow response to her story was not like any of those she told before. She begins to feel that he knows that there is more to this legend. He then asked, “Where did you get this story?”
“I heard it from one of my customer, he was half drunk and told me this is Legend of the Burning Ice Saber.”
“I think you use that drowsy powder of yours to pull this legend from him. Anyway I really think you should tell me the truth about the legend. I know you know more than this.”
“Fong I have already told the whole legend, but you haven’t told me why you were here.”
“I’m here to find the Burning Ice Saber, and you are the only one in this world who knows where it is.”
    “Me?”
“Didn’t you know that the three men last night was there for you? Not because you are pretty, but because you are the only one who knows the secret of this legend. I know there is more to this story, but I will not force you into telling me… someday you will tell me everything from beginning to end. And that will be the day I can find him."

    CHAPTER 3
    The Competition
The next morning Ang Ang, Fong and Meng Han Yee traveled east heading toward the MirrorZone where they can cure Meng Han Yee. Both Ang Ang and Fong know that the possibility in their adventure is little because there is no entrance to MirrorZone. These two have something in common, they will never give up even when the chance of winning is thinner than time.
They both stop to rest at an inn, when they were asking direction to MirrorZone. These two received an answer that they expected, “Madame I do not know what you are talking about, but do not walk further east because about two thousand miles from here there is a restricted zone. Whoever crosses over the drawn line on the ground will die.”
After hearing this both Ang Ang and Fong knew instantly this is where music becomes a weapon. These two people smile at one another; quickly they paid for the meals then both straddle Meng Han Yee onto a horse. Together all three headed toward Silence Valley where Tune Sect practice their art.
Then just before the drawn line Fong handed Ang Ang two small pieces of cloth. “Put this in your ear it can help you. And don’t forget about Han Yee and the horses.”
They crossed over the drawn line entering a thick forest, as their horses walked across a small trail that is now half covered with dead leaves. Their horse’s hoof crunch soundly as they move silently forward. The trail lead them in a straight line, on either side of the trails are trees with dark green leaves. A small wind blows smoothly and consistently at both of Ang Ang’s and Fong’s face.
If one were to turn around and take a closer look everything moves in one direction, the leaves on the trees ruffle coordinately one after the other. While the dirt on the ground sweeps silently. There is no trace of evidence that any kind of animal exist not even a single bird.
They both notice a small river up ahead, so they increase their pace. Galloping slowly they reach the river where a small bridge crosses over. On either side of the bridge are two men. They both have a small drum strap to their body, Ang Ang greeted them but they did not respond, instead they beat the drum at the same time twice. She then angrily tried to snatch the drum from the man closest to her, and was instantly paralyze.
Fong knew that the man had used the sound of the drum to paralyze her, “I am Fong Fei and this is my wife. She is a bit hot tempered and I apologize for any misunderstanding we just want to cross over this river and continue our journey to MirrorZone.”
Both the men once again beat their drum twice, and the man next to Ang Ang tap his drum lightly at the rim releasing the paralyze. Fong was amazed how powerful their paralyzing skills were. Using the inner martial art known as chi, transferring it into their drum and bounce it out to the opponent.
Instantly Ang Ang yelled at the man, “You idiot you could of told me you are the Deaf Drummers, so I don’t have to be paralyze! I’ll get back at you someday when I meet Wu Ji the best swordsman.”
They both cross over the bridge to the other side. Continuing their journey east, from afar they could see that there is a cliff. And slowly the wind that blowing against their face is getting stronger and stronger. Ang Ang covers her face with her red veil while Fong pulls his turtleneck higher to cover his nose and mouth.
When they reach the end of the cliff they climb of their horse, surprise to see a group of children greeting them, each kid carries a big gong the size of their body. They hit the gong once echoing throughout the forest and cliff. Both Ang Ang and Fong clasp their hands to their ears.
Shortly after the echo diminish one of the kids bent over to the edge of the cliff. He later stood up, and the rest of the children all stood in a line each pointing to the edge of the cliff.
Ang Ang notices that there is a small step that is rising above the ground. She walks up closer and sees that there is a stairs built into the edge of the cliff. She motion Fong to see the stairs, then one of the children began to pull the horse’s range leading the horse down another stair down the cliff.
Fong climbs down the stairs first then held his hand out for Ang Ang to follow, she grasps hold of his hand. They both began to understand one another without saying a single word. Is it because this is Silent Valley or is it because nobody here speak they just listen.
Halfway down the cliff Ang Ang slips and fall, her veil flew open, she closes her eyes not because she is afraid of death, but she is scared to see how ugly she would look once she hit the ground. Her eyes popped open when she heard, “You are heavy, but I could still hold you now that I‘ve saved you. I think you owe…”
“Yeah right, did I tell you to save me? I made my point, and in fact you are holding me a little too tight to be call saving my life. You are taking advantage of me.”
Once they reach the bottom of the cliff both notices that there is a road leading them to where the wind was coming from because the wind is now blowing harsher at their face. Every step they take is heavier than the next causing them to lower their heads and walk in a heavy pace.
Suddenly two women wearing a feathery canary cloak approach them, each one of them carry a shield that glisters when it hit daylight. Each of these women grab hold of Ang Ang’s shoulders suddenly the wind that is blowing against her face stop. She quickly yank Fong’s arm, so he could stand behind the two women, the wind also cease blowing against him.
Ang Ang notice that the shield these two women was holding is actually an instrument known as semi hearts, but because the intervals between each string is so thin making it look like a shield when light reflects on it. When these two women stand next to one another the shield seem to make out the shape of a heart.
After walking for a while, one of the women flung her fingers across the semi heart. Both Ang Ang and Fong felt a surge of energy flowing through them; these two women stop walking and gesture for their guest to move forward.
At the very same moment Ang Ang and Fong notice that the wind stop blowing against them. Ang Ang knew instantly that there is no wind; it is actually the sound wave that’s blowing against them. The music from Tune sect is so loud that the noise exceeds normal people hearing perception causing commoner to die, just from sticking their heads across the restricted area.
They both continue along the road, which lead them to a huge crowd of people standing around three huge drums the size of a house. Everyone in the crowd wears a frown, and holds a small piece of paper.
Fong quickly asks the man standing next to him, “Where can I bet?” The man just point over to a small stall where a lady sit with a lyre in front of her. Fong rush over to her stall, Ang Ang follows behind curious about this whole fishy business.
At the stall Fong presents the lady with ten gold coins. Ang Ang watches them closely in hope of learning something new for her story. The lady started playing her lyre then a small piece of paper flew over by a small breeze over to Fong. This breeze was created by the chi in the lady’s body her arts of controlling sound seem to be one that many in the wuxia have never seen before After receiving his paper he quickly joins the crowd to watch an event that only those that can pass the restricted zone are invited.
The ground begins to shake in a rhythm, and the drums begin to vibrate. A young man in his twenties wearing a skyblue contrasting green cloak appears on one of the drum holding a string with a golden bell attaches to either end. He began somersaulting in the air while tossing the bell to the drum. Bouncing bell and drumming the drum with his body and the bell. The ground shook the second time in a different rhythm and a young lady wearing an icy purple cloak appears on another drum, in her hand is a silver flute. Each of them began tapping their foot on the drum lightly then both started to play their instrument while hitting the drum. A lyre floats from ground and lands on another drum. Once it landed, the lady began to play her flute while her foot is still beating the drum. As for the man he backflipps over to the lady’s drums and began attacking her while ringing his bell softly. He spins around the lady, and with every step he takes the drumbeat. During the vigorous fight both player maintain their count and rhythm. The lady quickly lean her back approximately 160°, then quickly backflipps over to another drum. The man did not stop his bell from ringing, he jumps to the same drum she is on, then using his bell he aims it between her flute, then wrap the bell around the flute casting it out of her hand. Quickly pulls the flute to his mouth and began a new tune.
Now the lady tries to grab her flute back, but she is no match to him. She then summersaults over to the drum with the lyre, and continue on the note she left off on. While she is playing her foot is still tapping the drum. The man attacks her while he is still playing the flute. The lady could only block some of his move, so her music begins to die slowly. Suddenly the lyre’s string broke, and the crowd begins cheering out loud. Some cried and curse while others laugh with joy.
Fong smiled and handed Ang Ang the paper he received from the lady. “Here’s my gift to you.”
Ang Ang looks over at the paper, noticing that this is no ordinary paper it is actually a betting note, on it wrote ten coins Voice. Fong seems to be reading the confusion on her face, “This is a game that happens once a year. There are two groups in Tune sect; Voice is one of the groups that believe the only way to master music is by accepting every kind of music even the imperfection of voice. The other group is Voiceless believing that music can be master by accepting only music from instrument. And for them to master this skill every student cannot speak, and can only use instruments to communicate with one another. Both of these group would hold a competition every year choosing their best student to compete against one another, and the only way to attract every heroes from the wuxia to judge whose the winner, they would host a betting game.”
After he finish talking a man in his late thirties appears, “Sir and Madame congratulation you both won the bet. What would you like, money or …” Before he could finish speaking Fong answers, “I want to meet your master.”
The man shrinks back and gesture for both of them to follow him. As they pass through the crowd Ang Ang notices that the lady that plays the lyre slaps the other lady that was in the competition. There seem to be a fight or some kind of argument because once the lady was slapped she quickly dashed out of sight.
Ang Ang continues walking, and finally both Fong and her enter the main hall where many wuxia heroes meet and chat. The man left them in the hall telling them that his master will soon come.
An old man in his sixties appears wearing a gray dusty gray cloak, “Welcome to Silence Valley, where Tune sect dwells and practice music to perfection. I would like to thank everybody here for supporting Voice group. Hope every hero here would support us next year again. And from this moment on until next year this sect will be name Voice Tune sect. I am also proud to say that Voice group will be in charge of the ultimate instrument; so today we will celebrate my success. Please take a seat and enjoy the food I have prepared for everyone. Tonight every heroes here are welcome to rest in my guest house on the right side of the cliff.”

    CHAPTER 4
    Unspoken Love
Outside the main hall every student in the Voice Tune sect was in chaos looking for Zheng Sen the man that won this year competition. He was last seen following the lady that he had beaten earlier into the Never Gone Forest. His presence is needed in the main hall, but he is nowhere to be found.
After loosing the competition she felt bad because she had lost her group their position in the sect. Her senior Lady Lyre had slapped her blaming her for loosing the Voiceless group’s face and now they have to win next year, or else the wuxia heroes would say they are useless.
As she stood there in the crying in the middle of Silent Forest. The man that had beaten her in the competition approached her from behind. He tried to smile and introduced himself, “Hi, I’m Zheng Sen, and you are?”
The lady uses her inner chi, and without opening her mouth Zheng Sen could hear, are you mocking me?
“No, I just wanted to say your music is very attractive. What is the name of your music?”
I have already lost to the duel, and according to the rule winner gets all. I am Tang Ling second member of Voiceless Tune sect, and the name to my music is Listen, Listen.
“Tang Ling, since Voice Tune sect won this year competition why don’t you use your voice? I bet it is as charming as your music.”
Tang Ling wipes her tears away with her sleeve then turn to face the man she had lost to. Trying her best to look brave and strong, but instead she gave the impression of loneliness. For the first time since she study music Tang Ling opens her mouth, “W-what do you…want to hear from my lips?”
Her voice seems to be tugging at Zheng San’s heart, “I could give anything to hear this voice. I bet this is the first time you opened your mouth since you study here at Silent Valley. I love your voice although it is a little shaky, but you will improve just practice a little more. May I ask a favor from you? Can you say my name?”
“Zheng Sen, alright are you satisfied? I have to go now, and next year I will win for sure and that is one promise I make that I will not break.”
Tang Ling walk right pass Zheng Sen, and then she stops when she heard, “Didn’t you hear? I’ve already told you my promise, and this I would not break. Listen, listen closely to the tune here.” He picks up her hand and place it right on his chest, looking directly at her eyes he sense that she understands him.
Tang Ling pulls her hand away from Zheng Sen, and quickly walks away questions flooded her head because she never understands love. She never receives any kind of love, not even friendship and worst of all, love from her parents never existed because she is an orphan.
Once she reached her room an elder lady with a few stands of gray hair awaits her. Ling you have brought dishonor to our group. For the past five years we have always won, but now you…Never mind about this I want you to practice more using your skills. I know that your art of music can exceed others. You must find out why Zheng Sen won.

    CHAPTER 5
    The Parting
After everyone in the main hall left Ang Ang and Fong Fei went looking for Meng Han Yee. After looking frantically for him, a lady in lacy white appears telling them that Han Yee is in the guest room, she gesture for them to follow her.
They followed her up another stair to the other side of the cliff, as they climb higher and higher, they heard a soft hum echoing around them. When they got to the top of the cliff, Ang Ang saw many butterflies just fluttering around. The whole place seems to be the total opposite of the other side of the cliff. Along the way they walk pass the man that was in the competition, so Fong decided to greet him, “I’m Fong Fei, and you are…?”
“I’m Zheng Sen the second member of Voice Tune sect, and I am very glad to meet you Fong Fei known as Bragger Fong.”
“What was the name of the music you played today?”
“Only one can tell you the name of this music, even I cannot tell you the name.”
“She must be Tang Ling. The lady that was competing against you today.”
“Even you can tell, why can’t she?”
With that word he walked off playing the flute that he snatched from Tang Ling from today competition.
Fong Fei and Ang Ang continue on following the lady. They reach a building with many rooms. The lady gesture for them to follow her to one of the room. When they reach the room, Han Yee was on the bed his face filled with sweat. Ang Ang quickly covers her face with the red veil again. Once she attaches the veil across her face Han Yee opens his eyes.
The first word that came out of his mouth, “Where am I?”
Han Yee looks around the room, he recognizes both Ang Ang and Fong Fei. Once his eyes set on the lady in white; one side of his eyebrow raises and the other side drops then he quickly remark, “Whoa, what a pretty one. What’s your name?”
“Bi Rou is my name, and I don‘t think you need to visit MirrorZone because you are cured. If you need me, just reflect this mirror up.” She then hands Han Yee a small oval mirror the size of a pendent then quickly walks out of the room.
Ang Ang and Fong both look over at each other speechless. They know that their journey will end here, and Ang Ang will have to return home to Timeless Inn.
“Ang Ang we will rest here tonight, and tomorrow morning I will take you back home.”
“Alright, I will be ready by then.” She walks out solemnly leaving Fong Fei with a feel of being left alone, all alone in this world.
The next morning when Ang Ang, Fong Fei and Meng Han Yee were about to leave the building a group of men in silver cape surrounded them. “Fong Fei and his friends must drop their weapons now! You all must give up the key now or else we will keep your heads!”

    CHAPTER 6
    Who’s, Who’s
The three of them surrendered and was sent to the dungeon. When they reached the dungeon an unexpected visitor was there also. “Fong Fei I’m glad we met again, but the sad thing is that it is here in jail.”
“Zheng Sen, why are you here?”
“The same reason as yours. Unfortunately we were blame for everything that happened last night.” He sighs then picks up the silver flute, and begin playing a tune so serene that it left everyone speechless. After he finishes playing his flute he asks Fong Fei, “Did you know I still haven’t found the name for the music I played yesterday?”
“Zheng Sen, I bet everyone in this room knows that because just by listening to the note you just played we know that Tang Ling haven’t accepted your love yet. Zheng… I know you are feeling kind of down right now, but I want to know what exactly happened last night?”
“I don’t know exactly all I know when I went to see my master this morning to ask some questions about certain notes that I couldn‘t master. That‘s when I notice that my master‘s door was unlocked. I quickly burst into his room to find him paralyzed, poison and above that he accused me of stealing and even said I poison him just to be in the competition. I just don‘t understand, why did he say this because he was the one who told me to duel this year.”?
Suddenly a group of men in silver cape arrive, they all carry a chain of handcuffs. One of the men said, “I was told that master wants to speak to all of you who are involve with the missing keys.” His voice echo throughout the cold dungeon’s wall. After he finish speaking the rest of the men opened the dungeon’s door and handcuffed all four of them.
After they were handcuffed they all were dragged down the cliff to the main hall. While climbing down the cliff all four noticed groups of people in different colored cape were also climbing down the other side of the cliff. Zheng curiously let out a question, “Why are the Voiceless here too?” One of the men in cape answered, “Don’t you know because the keys to the ultimate instrument is missing?”
All four were leaded to the main hall, in the center of the room Master Wei, the leader of Voice sat up tall with a frown. Next to him sat an elder woman with a few strands of gray hair; she is the leader of Voiceless, Master Bei. Around them stood the entire Tune sect in their color formation.
Master Wei got up and asks, “Which one of you stole the ultimate instrument? And Zheng Sen, why did you poison me? I know you wanted to compete this year, but to poison your master… It is a disgrace to have a traitor in our sect!”
“Master, I didn’t do it. I would rather die than to carry a name of disgrace in the wuxia world. Master, you were the one who sent me to compete this year. One of Voice younger member was there when you told me this.”
“Alright, who was there when supposedly I announced that Zheng Sen is to compete this year?”
A young boy in a gray cape walk out of the gray formation, “It is I master, you did tell senior Zheng Sen to compete this year.”
“I am sure that I did not send Zheng Sen, the person I wanted to send that day is Yat Fu the first member in Voice group. All I remember is the day before the competition I met Zheng Sen, and he poisoned me saying he wanted to compete tomorrow. Afterward I saw a shadow, and then I felt as if thousand of ice needles were penetrating me. Then I couldn’t move so I knew then that Zheng Sen must of paralyze me with the frozen paralyzing stance.”
Everybody in the main hall grew silent; suddenly Master Bei stood up and threw a saber in front of Master Wei. You idiot, you don’t even know your student! Not to mention you’ve lost the key to the ultimate instrument! Our ancestor’s hard work making this instrument is now gone in your very own hands.
Master Wei picks up the silver saber slowly, “I am a disgrace to both Voice and Voiceless. To die is too much of a leisure for me, after my death every student here must seek after the ultimate instrument and make up for what I’ve lost.”
As Master Wei picks up the saber and was about to slit his throat, Fong Fei laughs non-stop. “If you want to die, I have no intention of interrupting your death. Go ahead and suicide, get it over with and your spirit wouldn’t have to deal with the thief.”
“Fong Fei! Are you accusing me of being a coward?”
“Sorry Master Wei, if you trust me and my name in the wuxia world I would try my best to help you.”

    CHAPTER 7
    The Paintings
“Then you are Bragger Fong known as the Tracker? If so, then if you can help us find the missing ultimate instrument then I will free your friends.”
“You were the one who framed us, now you want me to help out, so that you’ll let us go. Does this sound a little too ridiculous? But I love to help out ridiculous people. Now wouldn‘t it be a little sensible to let us go first.”
Master Wei nodded, and some men in the gray formation released the cuffs from all four of them.
Once they were released Fong began inspecting every aspect in Master Wei’s room. Shaking his head, “There is three people in this room the night before. Master Wei and two others. And if I did not make any mistake one of them have disguised as both Zheng Sen and Master Wei. Both of them is female because I could still smell their fragrance.”
He then wrinkled his brows and rushed over to the entrance to the ultimate instrument. Everybody rushing behind hollering questions at him. He then began searching around the entrance frantically, within minutes the entrance opened leading everybody through a tunnel.
The inside of this tunnel is both dark and dull. Luckily Fong carries a glower with him, as they reach a point in the tunnel; Ang Ang steps up in front of Fong, “Everybody must not head any further, there is a trap ahead. Listen to me, there is poison on the ground, see!” She then reach into her pouch and threw out a small ball the size of a pebble out to the ground. Suddenly the whole place was filled with a fog like smoke, “Now everybody look on the ground up ahead, there is marking that someone have spread out poison. This may not be dangerous to your life, but a lot of these poisons can make a person loose conscious up to three days. Now just wet your shoes with wine and then we can continue.” Fong handed his leather pouch filled with wine to everybody, then he asks curiously, “Why do we have to wet our shoes?”
“When your shoes are wet, the poisonous powder will stick to the shoes and not fly about. Lessening the poison on the ground.”
They all began walking carefully up ahead taking cautious of their venture. Slowly they approach a small entrance. Inside this small entrance is no small room. The inside is laid out with porcelain walls, painted with fine paintings of humming birds, dancing trees and most incredible of them all is the mischief lady holding a fish next to the pond. Her presence is so real and the fish seem to be gaping for air on her palm, its body seems to be moving frantically to live.
Fong crouch low on ground, he looks as if he is sniffing the dust on ground itself, then her walks over to the painting. Within second he splash wine onto the fish on the lady’s palm, nothing happens.
Crack! On the opposite wall where the humming birds are a door opens up. Inside lay a lady whose been paralyze, instantly Meng Han Yee recognize her as the lady that rescues him. “That’s Bi Rou! She rescued me earlier, without her I would be dead, but why is she here, isn’t she one of the Voice’s member?”
Zheng Sen then suggested that they wait until she wakes up then they can ask more questions. While everybody was worried over the missing instrument Han Yee seem to be a bit more concern with Bi Rou.
Ang Ang seems to notice this and decides to tease him, “Hey there Han Yee, I heard that you were known to be a man without woman. There is never a moment you wouldn’t be seen without a woman.”
Bi Rou stirs then slowly wakes up, her first words were a bit strange, “Take me outside and reflect the flower mirror on me.”
Han Yee quickly picks up Bi Rou carrying her outside, outside he lays Bi Rou gently on the green grass with small pink flowers scattering everywhere. She seems to be paralyze, her body cannot move, and it is slowly turning blue for some reason. “Han Yee, the mirror is tied to my neck, do not reflect the glass mirror. Take the one that is shape like a flower. Reflect it up hitting the sky, slowly reflect the mirror at me. Then the frozen needles will melt, and the paralyzing stance will release within half an hour.”
Han Yee did as she told him while Ang Ang, Fong, and Zheng Sen watches him closely. After the frozen needle in Bi Rou began to melt, Fong quickly asks her the question she knew he would asks. “What happened that night?”

    CHAPTER 8
    The Elixir of Life

Bi Rou began to speak while her eyes glister with tears and pain. “I am Bi Rou Rong the fifth member in MirrorZone. Many heroes call me Magic Mirror Maiden. Every thing started out three years ago when my master decided to enclose herself inside a room where our sect value the most. This is where we guard the most valuable medicine.” She paused then as if thinking she continued, “The Elixir of Life is stored here. Unfortunately there is a case enclosing it. The Elixir can be seen, but cannot be touched. My master have spent her entire life just looking at it. That is why she have sent many maiden out of the sect to seek weapons and martial arts of many to break this case open. Our sect have sent thousands of maiden every year to cure those with powerful weapons and great martial arts. After they are cured we ask to borrow their weapons, that is why rumor have spread saying that we have all of the powerful manual script to martial arts, and even the best weapons are stored here at MirrorZone.”
She pulled her necklace up reflecting it up at the sun, it’s light shone a flickering pink tone the shade of a pink rose. “I have tried my best to find everything for my Master. As if god have heard my plea for an ultimate weapon for an ultimate medicine, I have overheard a couple of heroes talking about the competition here in Silent Valley. I knew then that I must disguise myself here to get the ultimate instrument and use its music to break the case.”
She looks over the Han Yee, “Silent Valley is no silent place. I have met this man who almost died already, so using this mirror I cured him.” Bi Rou fiddles with the flower mirror, its reflection circles round and round, “Afterward, everybody should know what had happened. But that night when I went to get the key so that I can open the secret passage; I saw Master Wei poisoned with the frozen needles, so I cured him with the mirror. Quickly I went through the passage to get the instrument, inside the tunnel I met a lady wearing an icy-blue cape contrasting a dark velvet dress, in her hands are two short curving saber. She was dueling with another, he was in black wearing a silver mask, covering only his eyes. I know that it is a man because she manage to open his mask. This was one duel I never seen before because the saber can be connected to make into a boomerang. As for the mask man, his moves are slow yet he can avoid all of her moves. Eventually, she lost the duel and ended up chasing him deep into the forest. As they left I felt a cold shrill down my spine, I knew at once that one of them have seen me. I do not know which one of them used the frozen needle at me, but I know that one of them is from Ice sect.”

    CHAPTER 9
    Another Day
Inside the deep forest a wounded man is seen limping strongly while being followed…
Keeping a close pace, but careful enough not for him to see her. She hid behind trees, shrubs and even neighboring rocks to prevent being seen. Her eyes sharp and narrow strictly staring at the item she is sent to get. Her blue cape weaving back and forth as she kept her pace.
Noticing that his pace is getting slower he must be weak! This is my chance to get the instrument for mother. She fumble through her pouch and grabs a small cloth then wraps it around her wrist. Quickly tossing another cloth toward her target then the very daylight turns dark.
Vibrant glow sprang from her wrist she then leaps up from her hidden spot and aiming at her prize thinking that the man must have been drugged by now. Suddenly she feels an attack from behind. Quickly pulsing her steps from right to left turning around at the speed of light she pulls her curving saber. The attacker is the man in the silver mask! Dodging his attack she stumble into his arms. Then to her amazement he held her there then calmly smiled. “What a beauty, now if you would let me give you what you want.” Angling her back to his arm he bent closer to her then placed a kiss on her parted lip.
Struggling to keep herself steady she stuck out her hands in protest, unfortunately he was too strong for her weak heart. Placing her back on her feet he held out the prize she was after. Placing it out for her on his palm, she smirked then with a quick thump she knock the ocarina into the smoky air.
Flexing out her arm to reach the ocarina in the air, then a strong hand grasp her outreached hand. Her other hand snatch out her saber and began swinging it violently at her opponent only to find that it strike nothing but thin air. Suddenly she felt cold, and both her saber stopped moving. Frantically searching through the fog she spotted the man standing there with the ocarina in his hand again.
Silence filled the air then both of them fixed their eyes on the ocarina. The instrument seems to be singing. No, it is actually crackling slowing the instrument broke in two. Revealing a tarnish brown letter, not wasting any second she lashes out her last moves, “If I cannot take what I have been sent to take then let my body lie in one whole pieces!” She pretended to bite the small sac containing poison, and to find that her moves worked. He have taken no precautious that she is only pretending to die on a mission!
The letter left from one owner to another. The struggle to read what is written might have seem difficult, but the truth in this battle is the thumping excitement in flirting with martial arts. Soon midnight approach and both seems more than exhausted to begin another match, so settling the dispute to share what is written. As the letter unfolds it reads:
You might have already find that this is not the ultimate instrument for I have borrowed it. I will return it once I finish using it. Do not worry if I do not live to return it for my daughter will. - Song Ji Lang

More than astonish both began tumbling back toward the ground ready to either cry or scream. Maybe they are tired or upset from the truth, but slowly as if they haven’t had any combat, “I’m Thuy Tien and you?”
“Oh, sorry I’m still a bit upset from that note. Tik is my name.”
“Well, Tik I think we should join together as partner and find the ultimate instrument…”
Suddenly a shred of light pierce the dark night leaving a streak of faded marks. Thuy Tien face shudder white as she got up, “Tik I must return. Maybe we will meet again.” She race out of sight through the thick trees toward the source of light.

    CHAPTER 10
    Mystery Solved!
After Fong finishes inspecting and analyzes the whole incident he smiled a devious grin over to Ang Ang. She jumped as if he had pushed her to the edge of her seat. Slowly he approached her with that very grin that can make any woman’s heart stop beating. Trying to pretend that nothing is wrong Ang Ang smiled sweetly back and ignored her pumping heart. What is he trying to do this time? What an idiot thinking he is the best looking guy here or what? “Now Ang Ang I don’t think I look good at all today.”
“I don’t think at all about your looks today, for god sake start scrambling for clues, before you kill both of us.”
“I know who took the instrument already, but I think they got the fake one though. No more question, just get Master Wei and Master Bei to hear what I have to say.”
It took awhile for both master to come together in the gathering inside of the main hall. Both seem to be wearing the same frown except that Master Bei is bit strange to say she is wearing a frown.
“I Fong Fei have finally solved the mystery, but everyone must not blame one another for anything. Let me begin that Lady Bi Rou here have met the one who stole the instrument. One of them from Ice sect have disguised herself first as Zheng Sen and poison Master Wei. She then dresses herself up as Master Wei then tells Zheng Sen to compete because she knows that he will definitely win and bring her the key. That night Bi Rou saw an unforgettable fight between a man in a silver mask and the lady. Now mind me if I did not mistake any incorrect facts about the instrument. But here is evidence.” Pointing up toward the great crystal ball that have been hung there for centuries. Everybody gaze amazingly upward, then Fong Fei thrash a sliver arrow straight at the center of the crystal. Thousand maybe even millions of crystal shattered revealing a small egg shaped instrument. Which fell at a speed that seem to last forever. It too shattered with the crystal revealing a small note:
Both voice and voiceless must become one, until then there is no such as an ultimate instrument. It is the heart of a voiceless and the will of a voice member to become one. Their voice and instrument can bring harmony and perfect tune to our sect.
Beaming with pride Fong Fei held the note out to both the Masters and motion for Zheng Sen and Tang Ling to come forth. He held out the pieces of the shattered egg instrument for each of them. “There is nothing perfect in this world only love remains shapeless and nevertheless if one remain in love they are always in perfect shape in the beholder‘s eyes. Now I think I have solved everything even return the real instrument too.”

    CHAPTER 11
    The Unfinished Ending

Zheng and Ling took the broken instrument that was given to them. Slowly as if the world around them disappeared Zheng pulled out the silver flute that he took from Ling during their competition. Music weaved in and out between them, suddenly Ling followed what her heart have always hope to do. She opened her mouth only to find that music escaped her throat to harmonize the sharp flute. Everybody in the main hall seem to be in shock at how many butterflies have filled the hall. Every butterfly have seem to be dancing and it too is mesmerize by the ultimate music.
As the music begin to fade the butterfly seems to reluctantly leave, it’s wings flutter another circle around the pair of music lover, and finally they all left the main hall. At the sight of the last butterfly Zheng dropped his flute to his side then quietly look around, “I have something to tell everybody here in this room. I am not originally chosen to be in Voice. I am supposedly chosen to be in Voiceless.” Stun as it may sound he continued with a longing of spreading out the truth all along. “About 12 years ago…when I was still in Voiceless I began to explore more into music without using any kind of emotion except love. Then I did something terribly wrong, if one were to be in Voiceless one cannot…speak. I sang…” Interrupted by only the fearful cry of Tang Ling, Zheng stopped then circled his arms around her.
“No! It wasn’t Zheng who sang that day…It was I. I simply couldn’t ignore the whistling wind nor the beaming sunlight. I sang openly then a young boy took my fault as his. I did not know who he was until now. I am sorry Zheng. I am sorry Master Wei and most importantly I am sorry for myself.” Tears spilled numerously out of her eyes dripping continuously down the front of her robes.
“Ling you mustn’t blame yourself because without you there wouldn’t be the ultimate music nor instrument. You see here the note reads It is the heart of a voiceless and the will of a voice member to become one.” Zheng cradled her as he spoke as if for sure no harm was made by her confession.
Master Wei stood up and slowly she walks over to the pair of lover, then inching out her hands she spoke for the first time in her life, “You have done right. It is only foolish to linger onto what is now wrong when once it was right. Our ancestors have thought wise to do this, now I think is the time Voice and Voiceless join as one. Do you agree Master Bei?” As she spoke many of the Voiceless member began walking over to converse with the Voice and soon the main hall filled itself with wine of many and importantly harmony of peace.
As the party died down Fong Fei and Ang Ang left the scene back to their rooms. When Ang Ang motion for Fong to follow her, “Fong, how did you know the secret of the crystal ball?”
“That is a secret that will be said once time comes. Well, I’ll tell you the secret if you finish your tale of the Burning Ice Saber for me. A trade one for one. How about that?”
“I have already…told you everything. There is no sequel or anything that I have conceal from you. Now if you would excuse me I need to rest for tomorrows journey up ahead.”
