It depends on the individual how crappy it ended. I'll spoil as much as I could remember.

Not by order but basically it's what happened in the final few chapters.
After the incident/battle with the Ao Tian Zu (傲天族)(A tribe that is as proud as the heaven), Xiao Yao officially semi-retired from the game because he got deployed to the frontline (He joined the Airforce) to fight against those mutated beings and it will take 3mths for him to return. (Basically, he's leaving all the crap he stirred in the game for others to clean, lawl)

Shen Bing(The police woman) and Chang Lei will be revived in the game. At the end of the final chapter, Shen Bing was revived. I won't get into what she said anyway... since all of it was about her trying to figure out her current situation.

The author ShiLuoYe did said there will be a extra story/side story for Zhan Long, so maybe there will be a better conclusion... frankly speaking, after the battle against Ao Tian Zu (Xiao Yao and crew literally got defeated), I was hoping for a conclusion for this expansion...
