Interesting question. The first 'friends' he meets look like they have about his level, but he'll quickly shows that he's way stronger than them. But they'll still be useful, because LHC will take the 'tank role' as the guardian knight of the team, in PvM

Not really. However, those two will be taken out for the majority of the holy war.

About that, yes there is a period that he is way stronger than his companions due to him being a tank and all. Way later into the novel, about the time of the major final battle vs the clans, their strength levels are somewhat similar. And yes his companions will follow him thru out the series."

She's very mysterious and you'll have to wait quite long for little details of her background. But she's without doubt a bigshot of the Assassin Temple, and likely as much a genius as Long Hao Chen (more precisely, she's a lot stronger than him when they reunite). I don't have much details yet regarding her background thus (I'm still reading ahead though)
