But wow! All those nice posties you've done

Hey! Here's a tip, why not create a posties inserting clip of the story? You know, like the ones I've done for Nascent Of Pains since you've stated you are running out of ideas (which I strongly disagree)

Anywayz, in the meantime I will start to get my lazy self and get back on track reading aswell as writing

hey guys!
Here's another update. Enjoy!

*************************
A Kind Gesture

Wing Yi looks up at him, and she realized that he was a head taller than her. She shakes her head and says confidently, “No.”

Wen Zhuo gives her a suspicious eye and continues, “No…I am pretty sure you are the same eunuch that was found lying on the forest floor.”

He pauses to see if she would reply.

“I vaguely remember going to the forest, but I don’t remember ever seeing you,” Wing Yi replied. Now giving him the suspicious eye. “So are you the one that brought me back?”

“No, Enjun and I found you behind a tree,” Wen Zhuo quickly added. “Aren’t you hurt? How did you wind up here?”

That instantly brought her attention to Gai Gong Gong.

“All this time that I was stuck here with that lunatic boy, I had forgotten about Gai Gong Gong!” Wing Yi thought in alarm. “It was very kind of this guy to help her but she has to find Gai Gong Gong.”

“Um…” Wing Yi said to him, while looking at the exit. “Thank you…but...I have to go now.” She wanted both to leave and to change the subject.

“Uh…okay,” Wen Zhuo didn’t know what to say.

“I have to find Gai Gong Gong,” she said with much urgency. “Oh…sir…you don’t happen to know where he is do you?”

Wing Yi knew from his clothing that he was definitely not a servant.

“Yes, in fact I do,” he inquired, looking at her with even more puzzlement. “He was at the emperor’s study, but I don’t know where he is now. I assumed he returned to his quarters. Why?”

Wing Yi tries to make up an excuse and then looks down at her knees. “Well, my knees has been injured, and I need him to take a look at them again…because my knees is bleeding again.”

Wen Zhuo looks down and sees small traces of blood seeping through the pant.

“Oh…I see,” he stammered.

“Can I go now sir?” Wing Yi said desperately, her eye still on the door.

“Yes,” Wen Zhou said quickly, feeling kind of bad for interrogating her. “I’ll get a maid to assist you.”

Then he remembers that all the maids and servants are probably long gone by now, thanks to Xie. So he offers, “Need some help getting back?”

“No thank you sir,” she said through clasped jaw.

Wing Yi makes an earnest effort to walk but after the first couple of steps, her knees gave way. Luckily he caught Wing Yi by her left arm.

“Um…thank you sir,” she said with a forced smile, trying to hold back the shooting pain in both her knees.

“So where are you headed?” Wen Zhuo said, trying to make conversation as he guided her to the door.

Once the door was opened, and they were standing out in the corridor, Wing Yi pointed in the same direction she had come from previously.

Wen Zhuo was always generous to people around him and even to the servants. Everyone knew that he was will disciplined in both martial arts and in school. As the son of the most prominent palace official, he was expected to do live up to his father’s prestige and power. Discipline he received from his father, but his good nature was mostly from his sickly mother.

Wing Yi was no exception. Seeing a person in need always made him eager to help.

“This way?” he asked her.

“Yes,” Wing Yi nodded eagerly.

Though it pains her, Wing Yi forces herself to walk down the long corridor. When she slowed down, he slowed down. After that whole interrogation business, Wen Zhuo remained quiet the entire way.

After what seems to be any eternity of walking, they turned the fifth corner. As they maneuvered around it, Wing Yi could clearly make out Gai Gong Gong approaching their direction.

“Gai Gong Gong!” Wing Yi said in happiness, as tears trickle down her cheeks.

Gai Gong Gong heard her and quickly made his way over to meet them. Not until he was standing in front of her did he realize that the official’s son was also there.

“Wen Zhou, sir” Gai Gong Gong bowed respectfully.

“Don’t mention it,” Wen Zhuo quickly dismissed it, handing Wing Yi over to Gai Gong Gong’s care.

“Thank you sir,” Gai Gong Gong said, holding on to Wing Yi arm.

“Yes, thank you,” Wing Yi said happily.

There was a brief moment of awkward silence.

Luckily, Gai Gong Gong spoke up. “I am sorry to be in a rush, but I need to get him back to his quarters for bandaging. Thank you again for bringing him here.”

“Sure,” Wen Zhuo replied with a kind smile. “It is getting late, and I must also be getting back, before my mother worries.”

“Yes sir,” Gai Gong Gong agreed.

“Well then,” Wen Zhuo inquired slowly to Wing Yi first and then Gai Gong Gong, “I hope you get better soon, and it was nice to see you again Gai Gong Gong.”

“Thank you sir,” both Wing Yi and Gai Gong Gong said simultaneously.

Wen Zhuo smiled and headed back.

“Where were you child?” Gai Gong Gong asked as soon as Wen Zhuo was out of sight.

“I went looking for you and got lost and…” Wing Yi uttered, looking down at the floor.

“Alright, alright,” Gai Gong Gong said with a long sigh. “We’ll talk after we get you back and bandaged up and fed.”

“Yes, Gai Gong Gong,” Wing Yi obediently replied, realizing that she will have a lot of explaining to do. She also realized that the encounter with the small prince would neither not be the first nor the last.

Wen Zhuo walked back to Xie’s room to see if Enjun and Xie
were back. And sure enough, the two brothers were there.

“Hey Wen Zhuo!” Enjun said joyfully, walking out to meet up with him. “Xie, you stay here and play. I’ll get the maids to clean all this mess up, when I get back.”

“Yes, big brother,” Xie said sweetly, as his attention is fully absorbed in the toy.

Enjun shakes his head as he comes out.

“So how did it go?” Wen Zhuo asked with a sarcastic tone.

“The toy did the job,” Enjun said with a long sigh. “He just can’t keep doing this. All the maids and servants are terrified of him. But enough about him, how did it go with the eunuch?”

The two walked out to the stone courtyard and Wen Zhuo began, “ Well, the poor eunuch was evidently terrified.”

“Yeah…” Enjun said with a puzzled look. “I would guess so. What else? Where did you return from?”

“I just helped him get back to his quarters,” Wen Zhuo answered, looking at the magenta sky and then quickly turned to Enjun. “But guess what?”

“What?” Enjun asked with much anticipation.

“That was the same eunuch we found today in the forest!” Wen Zhuo exclaimed.

Hey guys, it's me again. I have just finished the next chapter. I wanted to have this chapter up since I won't be able to write one for next week. Hope you guys enjoy!

*******************
Past Memories

“What?!” Enjun said with disbelief. “How could that be? He looked half dead when we last saw him.”

“I know,” Wen Zhuo continued. “His knees was still bleeding but…”

“What…what?” Enjun urged on.

“I knew that I had seen him before, and he even admits he was at the forest,” Wen Zhuo said, shaking his head. “I couldn’t believe it either. But from the looks of it, he did not seem to remember much about what happened.”

“And did you get a chance to ask him about why he was there to begin with?” Enjun eagerly wanted to know. “Well?”

Wen Zhuo made a grimace and said, “Unfortunately, no.”

“What?” Enjun cried out in surprise. “Why not?”

“I didn’t get a chance to because his knees were still bleeding, and so I had to stop the interrogation and get him some help,” Wen Zhuo said in his defense. “Don’t look at me like that? I couldn’t just have him stand there bleeding to death.”

Enjun sighed and rolled his eyes.

“When I see him again, I will personally find out what exactly happened,” Enjun said with determination.

“When you find out,” Wen Zhuo said, laughing slightly and walking towards the gates. “let me know, but until then, I’ll be home having dinner.”

Once Gai Gong Gong and Wing Yi were back at their quarters, they found Ceuk pacing in front of the door.

“There you are!” Ceuk cried out in glee. “Are you okay?”

“Alright,” Gai Gong Gong insisted, going to the door. “Let’s go inside first.”

Ceuk gently grabbed hold of Wing Yi’s other arm and helped Gai Gong Gong escort her in.

Once Wing Yi was situated, Ceuk excused himself, “You two must be very hungry by now. I’ll go to the kitchen and bring back something for dinner.”

“Thanks Tieu Ceuk Tu,” Wing Yi said with a smile, while Gai Gong Gong went inside to get the bandages.

“I am sorry Gai Gong Gong,” she said slowly as he began the bandaging process.

“Don’t worry,” he replied after a long sigh. “Just focus on getting well.”

Wing Yi smiled when she realized he was mad at her for risking her own well-being and not for her clumsiness.

When Ceuk got back and delivered the dinner, Wing Yi and Gai Gong Gong ate their dinner in total silence. Today was just too much for both of them to fully digest. Gai Gong Gong’s mind was evidently elsewhere. Wing Yi tried to recount what had happened earlier today but found it difficult.

After the quiet meal, Gai Gong Gong helps her get to her
room before heading to his bedroom.

Lying awake in the pitch-black room, Wing Yi finds herself all alone in this enormous palace. As images of Li MaMa flashed in her mind, Wing Yi could not hold back her tears. The silence is broken with soft sounds of her crying. Before she noticed, she had fallen into a deep slumber.

In her dream, she saw herself only eight years old. She also sees Li MaMa splitting wood for the morning meal.

Li MaMa spots her standing behind the big door and says, “Come here Wing Yi.”

As she playful skips over to her, Li MaMa smiles and puts down her axe.

“You wait here,” Li MaMa instructed with a smile. She went into the kitchen and came out with her hands behind
her back.

“What is it, Li MaMa?” Wing Yi eagerly wanted to know.

“Happy Birthday,” Li MaMa said as she revealed the cake from behind.

All of a sudden Siu Chun pops out from behind the kitchen door and shouted, “Happy Birthday Wing Yi!”

Wing Yi jumps up and down happily, hugging Li MaMa first and then Siu Chun.

Hearing all the commotion, Madame Ling comes out.

“Guys, guys,” she demanded, yawning. “People need to sleep.”

“I am sorry Ling MaMa,” Wing Yi apologized, as one tear feel to the dirt ground.

“Aw…” Madame Ling said, going over to hug her. “No darling, what I meant was that we needed to go out and celebrate your birthday, instead of here where the girls are still sleeping. I have four seats reserved at a very nice restaurant a few blocks from here.”

She wipes Wing Yi’s tears before saying, “Now hurry up and go get ready. Come on now…all of you.”

Li MaMa smiles and went inside to help Wing Yi.

When they got inside, Wing Yi noticed a sky blue dress lay across her bed.

“Go ahead,” Li MaMa urged with a smile.

Wing Yi goes over and holds up the dress. It fitted her exactly.

“Thank you Li MaMa,” she said, running over to her.

“Thank Siu Chun, he helped me put this here after you left the room,” Li MaMa inquired with a warm smile.

“He’s always up to something,” Wing Yi said, beaming.

“Remember, Ling MaMa wants us to hurry up,” Li MaMa said jokingly.

As Wing Yi goes over to give her another hug, Li MaMa’s smiling face begins to fade away slowly.

“Li MaMa! Li MaMa!” Wing Yi cried out repeatedly. “Please don’t leave me!”

Wing Yi awoke suddenly to find Gai Gong Gong running in.

“What’s the matter?” he asked, perplexed.

Wing Yi hugged tightly him, as cold beads of sweat fell down from her forehead.

He was her only family she had left.

Okay, here's the next chapter. OBTW, this chapter is also on my website if you want to read from there : http://omnibus.250x.com/content.html
**********
Filial Piety

Wen Zhuo leisurely walked across the street until he came to a huge mansion.

But all one could see is the roof due to the massive gates. In front of the gate, on either side, perch two large stone lions. The large wooden sign that hung on the door way reads in gold lettering: The Home of the Royal Duke Fai Jun Jiao.

In order to knock on the door, he had to lift one large brass ring. Almost immediately, the door opened and a servant showed himself.

“Young master, you’ve returned,” the old man said with a smile. “Master Fai Jun is waiting for you sir.”

“Thank you Lan,” Wen Zhou said kindly.

Wen Zhuo knew that his father disapproves of him staying out late, but since he was only late because of Enjun, he knew that he could get away with it this time. Without anytime to waste, Wen Zhuo sped over to the dining room to find his father eating alone. But before he could see his father, Wen Zhuo rushed to his quarters to change into a clean pair of clothes.

“Oh, I almost forgot,” he quickly caught himself, looking over at the jade pendant hanging on his bedpost. Quickly but carefully, he fastens the pendant on his waist.

“Are you ready, master Wen Zhuo?” the old man asked from outside.

“Yes, I am coming,” Wen Zhou said, hasting his moves.

Even before he entered the room, Wen Zhuo could see that his father had already felt his presence.

“Sit down and have dinner,” Duke Fai Jun said with a stern tone, eating casually but not
making any eye contact with Wen Zhuo.

“Yes father,” Wen Zhuo replied, quickly taking a seat opposite of his father.

After the servants got his rice bowl and chopsticks, he began to eat slowly. The two remained quiet for the entire dinner. Only after the meal did Wen Zhuo gained the courage to speak up.

“Father,” he started hesistantly, putting his chopsticks down.

“Yes?” Duke Fai Jun inquired, finally looking at his son, eye to eye.

“Is mother alright?” Wen Zhuo continued with a concerned expression on his face.

“Yes, she is fine,” Duke Fai Jun answered coolly. “She had just finished the meal, and
now she is resting in her quarter. She also said that she wanted to see you.”

“Yes sir, I understand,” Wen Zhuo said obediently.

Rarely do these two speak to each other, and Duke Fai Jun thought that he could use this time to ask his son about his travels today.

“Wen Zhuo,” he commenced with his usual deep voice. “I heard from the servants that you and prince Enjun went out hunting today.”

Wen Zhuo smiled at his father acknowledgment and answered, “Yes we went earlier this morning with the emperor.” He tried to summarize the events into one complete sentence instead of having to tell his father the complicated situation in the forest.

“Very good,” Duke Fai Jun remarked, stroking his beard and said to the servants. “I’ll be in my study if anyone needs me.”

“Yes sir,” the servants said simultaneously.

As Duke Fai Jun got up from his seat, Wen Zhuo also rose to bid his father goodnight.

“Goodnight father,” he said politely.

In response, Duke Fai Jun nodded and proceeded to his study.

After his father left, Wen Zhuo informed the servants, “I have finished as well. I’ll go and visit mother.”

They nodded obligingly and commenced with clearing the table.

The first thought on his mind was visiting his mother. Her quarter was located on the east side and next to their pavilion. Most of the time she would walk around the pavilion or enjoy their family’s magnificence rose garden. It has been two years since she last went out of the house. And often than not, Duke Fai Jun was called away on duties and she was confined to the house with only her son and the servants.

Wen Zhuo has always been very protective of her. Not a day goes by that he doesn’t check on her, always fearing the worst. He knew that she would not sleep if she didn’t see him and make sure that he was well.

Wen Zhuo quickened his pace as he turns the corners. Finally, he made it to her room. He raises his right hand to knock but a servant from within immediately opened it.

“I was expecting you, Wen Wen,” his mother’s feeble voice was heard.

“I am here mother,” Wen Zhuo said, as he enters the dimly lit room.
At first Wen Zhuo could not see her because her bed was veiled over.

“How are you feeling mother?” he asked, approaching her bedside.

The maid goes over to remove the veil and letting the light penetrate to the bed’s interior.
Lady Jiao tries to sit up, and seeing her difficulty, Wen Zhuo gives her a hand. He gently props her back on a pillow as she rests her head on the side of the bedpost.

“I am doing well,” she finally answers him with a weak smile and a raspy voice. “How was your day?”

Wen Zhuo holds on to his mother’s left hand that was frigid like an ice block. When she asks him, he smiles and tells her, “Well, today Enjun and I went hunting deer.”

“Hunting deer?” she said and then coughs. “I thought you hated killing animals?”

“Well, we didn’t get a chance to shoot any,” he told her.

“I see,” she said with a smile and a series of coughs.

Hearing her cough, the maid ran over and began to pat her back gently.

“Have you given my mother her medication yet?” Wen Zhuo asked the maid, who was looking concerned.

“Yes, sir,” she responded promptly. “I gave her medication an hour ago.”

“Well, mother, I think you should get some rest now,” Wen Zhuo excused himself. “I’ll tell you the whole story tomorrow morning.”

His mother nods slowly as the maid gently lays her down with Wen Zhuo’s help.
The maid was on her way to escorting him out but he stopped her.

“No, I’ll let myself out,” Wen Zhuo said to her. “Just look after my mother.”

“Yes, sir,” the maid said obediently, heading back into the room.

Wen Zhuo slowly shuts the door and stood outside for several minutes listening to his mother coughing uncontrollably, before heading to his room.

I am very happy to like my site. Oh yeah, the buttons are my favorite features. I happen to find the buttons at a site called www.flashbuttons.com. It is so cool! Your site gave me lots of inspirations. Unfortunately, my content is minimum...just a bunch of pictures.
Finally, thanx for telling me about the change in forum location. I will try to find some time to visit and hopefully become a member. Bye for now! Keep up the great work on the site!

Wen Zhuo and his father are on good terms but they are kinda of distant. They rarely talk to each other. But keep reading to find out.
And thanx for visiting my site and leaving a comment in the guestbook!
I really need to find time to read both your fanfics. I know that one of them is Ancient right? When I finally find time, I will leave you a long comment. OBTW, why don't you post your stories here as well as at winglin? Okay, got to go now, bye!
