Malaysian artiste Soo Wincci has posted a video clip on YouTube urging Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to step down, according to major Chinese dailies.
The Taiwan-based actress-singer posted the video on Sunday afternoon but it was blocked 12 minutes after she posted it, Sin Chew Daily reported.
She then posted the clip on her Facebook.
However, a check showed the clip remained blacked out although Wincci's voice was clearly audible.
The 34-hour Bersih rally that began on Saturday afternoon drew an unprecedented 500,000 Malaysians to the historic Dataran Merdeka square in Kuala Lumpur.
Among the Bersih 4 demands were for a clean government and for the scandal-tainted Najib Razak to step down.
Former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad and wife Siti Hasmah showed up on Saturday evening and again on Sunday, sending another unmistakable sign to their Umno party members that Najib must be ousted and replaced by a 'cleaner' candidate.
"Najib will not step down. He knows when he has no power he may be made to face the court. The court may find him guilty and he may have to go to jail," Dr Mahathir told reporters on Sunday.
