Wizard world chapter 6 Daily Life part 3

An experienced soldier can become, at best, a veteran fighter. To become a knight, however, the fighter must go through life and death experiences, as well as temper their body to the limit. Then, he must wait for an opportunity to create his own fighting style, and stimulate his inner potential, and form the legendary life energy seed, in order to further strengthen himself by any large noticeable amount. After that, he must complete some achievements and merits to be granted knighthood.

Of these steps, the life energy seed is the pivotal and most important step. Without it, it is impossible to become strong.

Song Ye understood some parts of these details from Engel's memory.

Life energy seed, in fact, is, after training to the physical limit, automatically coming from small amounts of life energy gas from outside to inside. On Earth, this was known as hard QiGong (TN: A type of body training and exercising through breathing exercises, movements, etc. Ex: Shaolin). Of this topic, in the past, the Baron had given him extremely detailed descriptions about his own training and experience, so Engel was able to accurately figure all of this out.

Not all people can stimulate the life energy seed. Only a very small fraction of ordinary people have the qualifications for stimulating life energy seed. Due to the low success rate of this process, in order to increase the number of people who can pass this dangerous process, people came up with another method. They could have a person already with a strong life energy seed gather a bit of that energy and implant it into the body of others.

As a result, the chances for success for the originally very hard and difficult to complete process of the life energy seed awakening increased a lot. Unlike before, where a person needed to go through numerous instances of life and death, now they could obtain the seed from the start.

Of course, even so, not everyone can become strong. While this process increased the chances of success, still like before, only two-thirds out of 100 people can accept the seed. The remaining one-third of the people still can not accept the seed. This is because their body is completely unable to retain life energy. No matter how much of it is put in, it will only leak out from the body.

And very unfortunately, Engel's body belongs to this category. He could not accept the intake of life energy. This is the fundamental reason why he could only drink and play, why he only knew how to seek pleasure. Otherwise, as strong as the Baron is, Engel, if mediocre, still would not be useless to this extent. Even if Engel does not want to train, someone as strong as the Baron would never allow his son to not be able to defend himself.

Arad seemed to remember something, and looked at Engel with a bit of helplessness. He finally guessed out the reason why Engel was not able to do the exercises. The reason is that he simply gave up.

"If so, everyone continue to practice. Young master Engel, come with me." He clapped his hands again, loudly.

The area returned to its previous state of archery and swordsmanship practice. Only Song Ye followed behind Arad, and walked toward a corner of the area.

"Although you can not become as strong as a knight level person, some exercise can still enhance your physical fitness. It's still good if you try, so I hope you do." Arad said, while walking.

"I know what to do. Thank you, Arad." Song Ye nodded and spoke, smiling. "Baron Kyle's second son did not have the talent to become strong, this rumor should be rather well known in the past, right?"

    "Should be." Arad curtly spoke.

    "So these youths are qualified?"

"Yes, they have accepted the life energy seeds heritage( TN: Heritage as in a line of martial artists' line of heritage (meaning of the word) ) of the Baron and Otis. They are practicing in accordance with the Baron and Otis' methods." Arad replied.

Song Ye knew that, by accepting the life energy seed heritage, the seed would grow with them as they trained from early on, constantly strengthening them as well. When they are older, they would have more than an ordinary person's physical fitness by far.

Originally, that is how the Baron and Otis trained.

"So my father and knight Otis' strong bodies were trained this way." Song Ye suddenly understood. But immediately he had a hint of frustration. The body he crossed over to is not good, why did he have to cross over to a untalented body.

If he did not have the bio-chip to give him hope, it is likely that Song Ye would have just left his life to fate's hands.

Arad took Song Ye into an open area on the side.

On their sides hung a rack, a row of wooden swords. Wooden swords were scattered upon it.

Arad removed one and directly threw it to Song Ye.

Song Ye caught quickly, hands dipping as he did so.

This wooden practice sword was actually somewhat heavy. He estimated that it was about upper 2 to 3 kilograms.

One meter long, with the hilt and blade forming a standard cross. This was the most commonly seen cross sword style blade.

Song Ye slightly waved the wooden sword in his hand, white with a bit of yellow, through the air, causing a slight whirring sound.

Arad himself removed a wooden sword and casually did a sword stroke, suddenly slicing a white blur in the front.

"The most basic form of training is very simple, but it is not simple for everyone to do it." As he spoke, he sliced forward with his sword in both hands.

    Woo! !

Song Ye felt a breeze flowing from Arad's sword. His forehead hair was blown back.

The bio-chip in his brain automatically started to calculate numbers.

A row of light blue data quickly appeared in Song Ye's eyes.

"Arad, strength greater than 1, agility is greater than 2, physique more than 2."

"Pay attention to the position of the force you apply in this straight cut, to a bit below the tip. This is the deadliest area of the blade. If all the force is put in the tip, it will be easy to wear out the blade, and bend the sword."

Arad began a demonstration of the style.

Straight cut, uppercut, horizontal slash, straight pierce, downwards thrust. All five basic movements are demonstrated to Song Ye once.

Every action brought up bursts of wind.

Song Ye attentively watched Arad's demonstration. Meanwhile, the bio-chip also began recording the data.

When the recording was finished, Arad was also hanging the sword at his side.

"How? Although very simple, but the action must be standard, otherwise the joints could be injured over time, leaving aftereffects. So even a little mistake can not be made." He solemnly said.

    Song Ye nodded.

Meanwhile his mind silently spoke to him. "Recording complete."

A bunch of blue data emerged in front of his eyes, "Please named in this material."

"Swordsmanship fundamentals." Song Ye said, internally.

    "Named swordsmanship basics."

The mechanical voice prompted, and automatically disappeared.

Song tried to recall the information with a thought. Suddenly a section streamed into his mind. The visual and auditory details of Arad's demonstration were perfectly reproduced within his mind once more.

After confirming if the recording was indeed complete, Song Ye replied to Arad.

"So this is previously learned information. I remember it now."

Arad looked at Song Ye with a slight frown, as if to confirm if Engel is not playing a trick on him.

"Since you have remembered, then practice it good by yourself then. Originally today, Otis was ready to come teach you in person, but he had something to do, so he just let you do some basic exercises to restore your body's condition. I am currently leaving , but call me if you need anything. "

    Song Ye nodded.

After seeing Arad quickly walk away, he raised the wooden sword in his hands, slightly weighed down, with a smile on his face.

The bio-chip can only store and analyze, so for the real practice and training, he still has to rely on his own, training step by step from the basics. After all, the chip can not directly apply anything to his body. It has only an auxiliary role.

He put his body in position, and began warming up, in full accordance with the demonstrated exercise.

"First, the straight cut." He took the wooden sword, hands in the air, cutting forth.

"Action error 31%." The Bio-chip instantly prompted.

Song Ye's face flashed a slight smile.

This is one of the bio-chip's complementary capabilities. It had the ability to compare his actions with stored data, achieving the purpose of constant improvement.

    He partially changed his slash.

    "Action error 25%."

Several times in succession, Song Ye began to slowly adjust his slash. With the slow adjustment, the action errors coming from the bio-chip became smaller and smaller.

He held the wooden sword high, slightly adjusting his grip little by little, until the bio-chip prompted him of less than 5% error. He suddenly sliced downwards. An strange feeling suddenly flowed through him.

"Based on the degree of physical exercise, this action can enhance muscle toughness for the 5th body muscle groups, the 3rd muscle group, and the 11th muscle group. After 10526 more repetitions, muscle strength is expected to increase by 0.1."

The bio-chip results immediately appeared in front of Song Ye's eyes..

"Ten thousand times ... not too much." He softly repeated.

He raised the wooden sword and began to seriously practice.

The advantage of the bio-chip is that it can make him fully understand his bodily conditions. This is known as confidence from knowing your enemies, and knowing yourself. (TN:Sun Tzu)

    Zi ! Zi ! Zi !

Song Ye's basic movements for the exercise started out very discoordinated. Later, his speed became faster and faster.

The continual slashes brought out puffs of wind.

This sound meant that the minimum amount of air resistance had been reached. This is the fastest, most effective form of the action.

Unwittingly, Song Ye began to move deeper and deeper into practicing. He put his heart and soul into practicing this bit of basic swordsmanship.

He lunged forward, then split across, then right stitched, moved forward and undercut, and then cut left and right.

The movements were smooth and sleek, and the air drag sounds gradually reduced.

He could feel, that this body was not as useless as it seemed. For swordsmanship fundamentals, his body had a very familiar feeling. Sometimes before his brain had given out the orders, his hands had naturally carried out the actions.

The former Engel probably secretly practiced.

    Don! Don! Don!

    A gong suddenly sounded.

"Time to rest, everyone disband !!" Arad's voice projected throughout the area.

Song Ye went to recover from his strenuous exercise in the corner. He looked toward the middle of the area.

Arad stood on the side of the area, creating a piercing sound from hitting the gong.

The youths on the practice field clamored up, and one by one they banded into groups. Some of the groups walked towards the dining hall. Some of them went to go home. Some groups of youths gathered around Arad to ask something.

Song Ye stood, his forehead covered in sweat, his face flushed, and his body red from heat. His garment and his torso were drenched in sweat.

Although his recent practice looked extremely smooth, but for others, this is the basics of the basics. Even if he did it better, it would be considered normal. So others did not pay attention to his current actions. Because they were a matter of course.

"Summary of physical condition." Song Ye internally said.

"Summary states: Slight muscle sprain under right forearm, legs have poor blood circulation, recovery time, 14 hours."

Song Ye slightly nodded, satisfied. He wiped the sweat from his face.

He wore a noble's black suit, with a red belt around his waist. If clock turned back, it would look like a tight fitting jacket on Earth. With long-sleeved pants, he looked very capable.

But now these clothes are drenched with sweat.

"Even a person without life energy seed, like me, can become strong." Song Ye calmly thought.

He stood alone in the corner. Nobody reached out to him.

Song Ye swept his gaze around in a circle. Everyone avoided his gaze.

Though on the on hand, these children looked down on his weakness, They had to show respect due to the prestige of the Baron, so they simply chose to avoid him.

Song Ye did not bother to have more contact with these youths. He put the wooden sword back on the rack, tugged at his collar, and directly walked back to the tower.

"Brother(T.N. Word of endearment)." A tender and sweet voice sounded from behind him.

    Song Ye looked back.

Maggie looked at him, standing on the edge of the sword rack, with joy on her face. The fourteen year old girl wore a white blouse and waist skirt close to the thigh. Because of her developing thighs and full chest, she gave a charming and sexy feel.

Song Ye felt that her outfit was similar to workplace casual wear. Maggie, although not noble, and therefore could not wear colored clothes, spent some time and effort to think of her own way of dressing well.

Busy lately. I think I am spending too much time fixing grammar and spelling and sentence structure. I will therefore try to translate faster. Forgive me for any errors.

Wizard World Chapter 7 Approaching part 1
As one of Engel's closest two sisters, Song Ye will naturally show her an appropriate attitude.

"Yes Maggie. What's wrong, ah? Is something the matter?"

" Uh nothing. I just came to chat?" Maggie ran to Song Ye's side, bending her arms around Song Ye's. Her chest slightly touched Song ye's arm.

"But there is just a little something ...... I actually wanted to ask you to do something for me." Her warm body squeezed even closer.

Song Ye had just finished exercising, so his blood flow was high. He suddenly encountered such a temptation, and his mind suddenly went into some chaos.

"What?" In Engel's memory, Maggie had came not too long ago, after seeking protection and shelter. Though Engel did not have those kind of thoughts about this distant cousin, it seems that Maggie thought differently.

Of course, in the current web of nobility here, there were relationships between cousins everywhere, unlike on Earth, where there are laws.

Maggie likes to dress up in nice clothes and enjoy life. But, even moreso, she wants to stand higher than her peers, to be better off, to have her parents obtain a better job through her relationship with Engel. This is her attempt.

Therefore, her desire was the same as her half-sister Celia's. Celia's mother, although technically can be considered one of Engel's elders, was only born a civilian and therefore, much less noble than Engel.

The current situation is that the eldest son had been declared to join the army, missing. In accordance with the rules, the second son could not inherit the title. However, currently the Kingdom of Luden was in chaos, so each territory was almost completely left to itself. In this territory, therefore, the inheritance could be said to be completely according to the Baron's word. The Baron intended to pass on his title to Engel, so that when he passed on, Engel would be master of the house, the family. If Celia's relationship with him is not very good, Engel would have the full right to evict Celia and her mother from the castle. Celia and her mother were deathly afraid of such a scenario. So Celia approached Engel in the past to prepare for the future as well. With the exception of marriage, this relationship and the benefits with it were the best they could get for themselves and their parents.

Maggie matched Engel's pace as they walked toward the residential area of the tower. There were occasionally some looks of envy, but also of disdain from around them. But the two ignored this.

"My mother recently has some severe leg pain. I do not know if her work can be a bit easier ....." she whispered, stealing a glance at Song Ye.

Song Ye did not immediately answer, but nodded, indicating that he heard. He soon returned to his bedroom, with Maggie at his side.

Cecilia had still honestly stayed in the bedroom, and had not gone out. She seems to have completely obeyed Song Ye's words.

Seeing Song Ye come in with Maggie, Cecilia's eyes showed a trace of shame.

Song Ye opened the closet, and took out a change of clothes from inside.

"Maggie, you go eat dinner with her, take a bath, and go rest. Let maid Chang give her a room, and tell her it's my order."

Maggie thought Song Ye was ready to .... did not think it was just this. She looked up and down at Cecilia, gazed at her chest, and suddenly felt proud of herself. Her own chest was bigger.

While feeling somewhat forlorn, Maggie was still somewhat afraid of that type of thing, and could only hope to delay for a bit more.

She loosened Song Ye's hands, and pulled up Cecilia, who looked a bit timid.

"You guys go first, deal with this well and come back to me. I will talk to Howard about Aunt Alice's situation." Song Ye held back a bit of anger, said.

For a male grown up to his society's expectations and morals, this world was indeed a testing ordeal.

"Okay." Maggie said with a slight cheerful expression, bowed, and took Cecilia towards the door.

As Maggie was passing by Song Ye, he grabbed her chest. An elastic and full feeling passed from his hands to his brain.

The two girls suddenly exclaimed. Maggie smiled tenderly, and left with Cecilia.

"Although the body is still growing, but I can still can touch." Song Ye smiled. He could be considered collecting interest on a loan for repressing himself so long. Otherwise, it is doubtful that he could endure so long.

Next, Song Ye practiced swordsmanship daily, constantly correcting himself using the chip's ability.

Ten thousand such swings soon ended. By Bio-chip detection, Song Ye found out that his physique really improved 0.1 points.

He also collected a number of his peers' body data with the chip.

Frustratingly, his peers, who had life energy seed heritage, averaged at least 0.8 physique or more, even some girls. His joy of his physique upgrade of 0.1 diminished.

The Baron and Otis were still busy cleaning up the wandering ruffians, so they had no time to train him. Therefore, it was left to Arad to train him. Song Ye was fine with that, as even if he received higher training methods, the foundations were more than enough for him to practice with for now.

And as for Maggie, after Song Ye rubbed her that one time, he did not bother her again, as his body was still developing. But he did speak of her mother's condition to Howard. Maggie was very grateful.

    Four days later .........

Early in the morning, Leo castle dining hall.

Around a rectangular wooden kitchen table, core members of the Leo family sat and ate.

With the Baron currently out of the castle, Engel was at the highest position. The two middle-aged women sitting by his side were the Baron's 3rd and 4th wife.

They were each beautiful in their own way, and even with the Baron not present, they still showed an expression of respect.

Following them sat two rows of boys and girls. They were all dressed in red and black aristocratic garb, with Celia among them. Also among them sat the boy called Gary that Engel had seen at the training field.

There were a dozen in total of these boys and girls, mostly handsome and beautiful, quietly eating.

Apart from the sounds of the cutlery, there were no other sounds at the table.

Engel glanced around the table while cutting up a piece of cooked beef. Behind him stood old Howard. Even with the Baron not present, there was still old Howard, who had similarly powerful fighting ability, which backed up Engel's position. So as before, no one dared to disrespect him.

And seated here on this table were people who had sufficient status to dine together with the Baron. Maggie and her parents were, of course, not present.

Engel picked up and ate a piece of beef. As he drank his soup, he suddenly frowned: "How is this soup not the same as the other times' ?" he asked, slightly tilting his head.

From behind him, old Howard respectfully replied.

"Yesterday, the Baron sent back some things from the wild forest, including some mushrooms and a few one-eyed red snake."

    Engel nodded.

"This soup is not bad, one-eyed red snake? Do the forests around have those?"

"Yes, a lot. But their venom is strong, and their bite is difficult to treat, so they are unpopular prey. We can only occasionally eat them." Old Howard replied.

"Oh." Engel once again reached for the cup and sipped the soup. Mellow and delicious. A few green onions floated on top of the creamy white liquid. It looked like cream milk.

"After dinner, I am ready to go out." Engel replied lightly.

    Old Howard frowned.

"During this recently troubled period, you should stay in the castle to be safe....."

"Don't worry, I won't be far. With the people nearby in early field practice, nothing will happen." Engel interjected. "You can send two people with me." His tone was resolute.

    Old Howard nodded.

"Well, do not stay outside for too long."

Engel nodded, to show he knew.

The entire table restored to its previous state.

After dinner, Engel directly went outside of the fort, with two bodyguards behind.

Engel had a pensive look. A cross sword hung about his waist, and a short bow and quiver hung upon his back. The quiver was filled, with 50 arrows.

"You're going to hunt?" One guard softly asked.

    Engel nodded slightly.

"Just to train at the edge of the forest, to see if I can hit anything small."

However, undetected by others, this time, his eyes showed rows of pale blue data.

"Special food found to fit physique. Category: Meat, Species: Snake, named one-eyed red snake. Eating its snake eyes 109 times can increase agility by 1."

This is why Engel had come out.

Can increase agility by 1 ...... this temptation, just when he requires serious power, is irresistable.

Moreover, Engel wanted to see the fruits of his training, after the Bio-chip's corrections.

Early morning, the castle woods were mingled with a clear layer of mist. At the edge of the woods, the early practice group had begun.

Engel walked with his two guards slowly towards the forest, opposite from the castle.

The only path to the world beyond the castle was a road, and large tracts of mountain and forest existed on both sides of the road.

The training cavalry had noticed Engel walking along with two guards, which was not uncommon. They were used to it. However, some people noticed that Engel seemed to really be ready to go into the forest.

Suddenly some eyes with discord looked over. There were already many people who treated the castle as their home so they were naturally unwilling to be under such a weak leader. So seeing this waste of a second young master, Engel, going into the forest, these people looked the other way. Some of them even hoped that he would die within the forest.

Engel was completely calm. Now, although he was not much stronger physically, his movements and actions were extremely concise and smooth with the aid of the Bio-chip. Particularly, he was confident of his archery, of which his hit rate had reached almost 100% with aid of the Bio-chip. He had quietly tested this at the shooting range. At 50 meters away, in the dark of night, he could still frequently hit the target. So, he was confident in hitting the prey.

After Engel had walked almost 20 meters into the forest, one of his guards stopped him.

"Young master, to go on, we cannot be sure to protect you."

    "Yes, about here." Engel smiled.

He took out his short bow, and then removed an arrow from his quiver, resting it upon the bow..

"You two move. I want to see if I can hit anything" He ordered.

The two guard reluctantly moved, and sat down on the side, so as to not block Engel's vision. Anyway, this was not deep into the forest, so it was not very dangerous. They did not have to worry too much.

"This one-eyed red snake is small like a rabbit or squirrel or that sort of thing. As long as we note that there is no one-eyed red snake nearby, we should be good." A guard said.

    Another person gently nodded.

Engel stood on the grass, with his eyes looking about in a circle.

"I remember once that father killed a mountain bear in this forest. Although he had some slight injury, the bearskin has become his strongest demonstration of power in the castle." He calmly said.

The two guards did not know what he meant.

"Black mountain bear can be considered a relativately strong creature, a peripheral forest overlord. You can be assured, however, that mountain bears generally have an activity range about two hours away, and across the big hill in front. "

The time of this world is divided evenly into 25 hours. Almost the same as the time system of Song Ye's Earth, with just one hour more.

"That's good." Engelhard column nodded, gazing at any signs of movement around. "Although I cannot accept the life energy seed, I am still confident in my archery. This time, I should be able to hit something."

Suddenly, Engel's body jerked around. He pulled and let go of the string.

    Pfft ! ! !

A white blur flew past, and embedded itself into a tree trunk over 10 meters away.

A gray snake was tightly nailed to the trunk, squirming and struggling about.

Wizard World chapter 8 Approaching part 2

Engel moved quickly forward. The two guards were a bit slow on their follow-up, as they did not really expect Engel to hit something.

" It's the one-eyed red snake!" Engel had previously asked about all relevant information on the one-eyed red snake.

The snake's body was only about as thick as a thumb, with only one blood red eye on its head, the origin of its name. The red-eyed snake's body was long, with the same color skin as the gray tree trunk. If not for the white feathered arrow tightly pegging it to the tree trunk, the two guards almost could not recognize it.

Engel pulled out his cross sword, and viciously slammed the snake head with the hilt. The one-eyed red snake fainted, and stopped struggling and squirming.

"I heard that the red-eyed snake's eye is good for sight, so I want to try." Engel softly said.

The two guards looked at each other, and for a time, did not know what to say.

They watched as Engel took out a small hunting knife, cut around the snake's eye, picked out the snake's red eye, and directly threw the entire eyeball into the mouth, grimaced, and swallowed.

Although the venom of the one-eyed snake was very strong, only the fangs and poison sac of the snake were poisonous, so the two guards did not dare to stop Engel. After all, he hit the snake himself.

After Engel swallowed the snake eye, his brow contorted, and he had a strange expression on his face.

"Let's continue." He said. He casually threw the dead snake into the hands of a guard. The guard quickly took out a linen bag and stored it.

It was during the moment when they were still not completely focused.

They heard the sound they had before.

Young master Engel had a smile on his face, as he walked to a distant tree.

They noticed that on the distant tree, atonishingly, another one-eyed snake was impressively pinned down with an arrow.

"Young master's archery is just too good!" A guard could not resist saying, "We have to come near to see the difference between the snake and tree trunk, but you can actually see it from so far away. Amazing!"

Engel heard that, smiled, and did not reply.

He went to the trunk, pulled out the white arrow, and put it back into the quiver. The arrow had gone through the center of the snakehead, piercing the red eye of the one-eyed snake, so clearly, he had made a mistake.

Although the bio-chip can correct him and help him locate the target, he must train to obtain good body stability. For his previous Earth, in archery competitions, the minimum distance was at least a kilometer away. Even with the use of a mechanical bow in compliance with the competition standards, this distance is extremely far away. This requires every competitor to have a strong stability, as after all, everyone has an auxiliary bio-chip.

    "Let's continue." Engel said.

The three began to scour the woods for prey. Engel also deliberately missed about 4 arrows in 10, so the guards had gradually gotten used to his performance.

In the end, this hit rate can be considered normal. In the jungle though, it has been considered very good. But without the life energy seed, even with greater archery skills, a good archer does not have the power to pull a large, complexified bow, so he is still not a threat for a powerful knight. He could only be regarded as a strong archer infantry.

But half an hour later, the two guards were holding a full gray bag. It was all the squirrels and gray rabbits that Engel had shot, as well as one-eyed snakes. The two had some injuries that they almost could not carry on with.

"You two go back and put the things away and return." Engel ordered. "I'll take a break here." He was ready to throw the dead snake to the guard, but suddenly hesitated, and instead gently carved about in the snakehead's mouth, digging out a white venom sac. He put the venom sac in his bag and only then did he throw the dead snake to the guards.

The guards took the dead snake, and looked each other in the eye.

"I will let Hank bring the things back. I will stay to protect you." A person said

"Alright." Engel nodded. He was also a bit tired, so leaning against a tree trunk, he sat down. After eating 10's of one-eyed snake eyes, he could feel that his body felt slightly warm, and it started to feel lighter and lighter.

A guard took the prey back. The other guard sat beside him, on the grass.

"In fact, we have heard before that eating the eyes of the one-eyed snake was good for the body. It was tried before, but to no avail." The leftover guard said with a wry smile.

"With no effect?" Engel furrowed his brow.

"Yes. The people who tried, experienced no effects, with the exception of diarrhea." The guard replied.

Engel nodded. He knew that same things would not be useful for everyone. The bio-chip analysis had also talked about the usefullness problem. Raw snake eye contained a substance which for him, would increase agility. But he did not know if it would be effective for others. After all, everyone has a different body makeup. Also, people at different stages of growth are very different from each other.

Today, it can be considered satisfactory rewards. If he did not want to hide himself, he could hit with 100 percent accuracy. Due to the bio-chip helping, he had no trouble hitting the targets today, only about 10 meters away.

"So that's it for today. We will go back and rest." Engel got up and said.

    "Ok."

They walked back along the same route.

The next half a month, Engel went to hunt in the woods every day. His excellent archery passed around the castle by word of mouth. So for him to come back with a lot of prey everyday, everyone does not seem surprised anymore.

    *****************

Afternoon in the woods, fragments of sunlight shone down.

A white-feathered arrow shot out with a zzzt.

    Thud !

A one-eyed snake was nailed to a branch about 20 meters away.

Footsteps rapidly sounded from the bushes.

An ordinary teenager wearing green hunting garb, holding a black short bow, came out from the bushes. Two soldiers followed behind him, both men wearing gray leather.

"Hit again." A man jokingly said.

The teenager nodded, stepped forward, and pulled out the white-feathered arrow. He pinched the one-eyed snakehead, pulled out a knife, skillfully cut out the eye, and swallowed it.

After swallowing the snake eye, the originally pale white face of the youth reddened.

Warm gusts of heat flowed from his inner body through his body and his limbs. He felt an unusual feeling of lightness throughout his body.

"Young master Engel, is that it for today?" A guard asked.

Engel slightly opened his closed eyes, his face with a trace of a smile.

"You take these things away, and I will return after hitting some more. Maybe today I can encounter black-spotted deer."

Two guards understood that Engel's strength could be considered great. On the periphery of the forest, there were no animals that could threaten him, so they unworriedly walked back with the materials.

After the two departed, Engel intoned an internal instruction.

    "Detect my current physical state."

"Engel Leo, Strength 0.8, Agililty 2.4, Physique 1.6."

Engel's mouth curled up with a hint of satisfaction.

So far, he has eaten no less than hundreds of one-eyed snake eyes, and now it already has not much effect for him. This seems to have occurred due to body resistance. But still, for his body to increase up to this point, he has been satisfied. Also, after half a month of physical exercise, his fitness has improved a lot.

Now, even without seed enhancement, his body has been considered to be very strong. However, he heard that people with the life energy seed had a strong explosive power, thereby able to enhance their combat power several times instantly. Engel could not compete with this point.

    "But ...."

Engel smiled, backhandedly pulled the cross sword from his waist, and slashed forward with a fzzt. He silently curved an arc across the air. A branch the thickness of his wrist suddenly snapped, and fell down.

His speed could be considered somewhat faster than even when Arad demonstrated.

"Also ..." Engel's eyes fell above the notch on the cut branch. There, an insect was attempting to fly, but its transparent wings had been cut. It was struggling, zzt, zzt, on the branches.

"I'm not weak now." Engel placed his sword back, satisfied.

    ******************

In the woods, 100 meters away from Engel.

A gray silhouetted body quietly went towards the direction of the castle.

The silhouette's footstep sounds upon the thick grass were covered up by the sounds of birds and insects, so not much sound could be heard of him moving.

"Is this it?" The silhouette stopped in front of a cluster of bushes and hid himself.

As a member of the shadow group killers, Dess would carefully collect all information pertaining to his target during his missions. Although he had the strength of a strong knight of the knight level, he never let down his guard, the reason why he had rarely failed any missions.

He recalled his mission task and relevant details once more. "Objective: Kill the Leo Baron, and take back his head as proof. The strength level of Kyle Leo is on the same grade as a knight. There's a record of him continuously killing 10 cavalry. But afterwards, he quickly fled, exhausted. " Dess' mouth formed a disdainful smile.

"10 cavalry? Very strong? Only this remote rural region could think so." Dess was fully qualified to show disdain for him. He, recently in a clash, killed a knight level strong, and 20 cavalry.

If not due to habit, he would rush into the castle with his full strength and start killing, then slaughter everything. Then he would leave.

"But, ah, this mission is really easy. To kill a small village lord, that's also just an ordinary knight level." He did not care about his so called record. He had killed knight level strong before, with similar records. He had seen more.

    *******************

    Castle, the meeting hall.

The Baron sat, looking silent and gloomy.

Otis and Howard sat on both sides of him, both with heavy faces.

"Shadow group killers, who could be so extravagant? Unexpectedly inviting this level of strongman?" Howard indignantly said. "Spread out over many countries, the shadow group. Their terrifying strength, I simply cannot imagine."

"Assassination notification has been sent beforehand." The Baron said with a sigh, "This is their usual style, to let those to be killed know that and when they are to die. But I cannot figure out who was able to invite the shadow group. To do so costs at least a thousand gold coins. My total Leo territory revenue is only about hundreds of gold coins. Someone is actually willing to spend a thousand gold coins to buy my life.... "

Otis licked his lips. "Why be afraid, as even if he comes, we three knight level strong are not uselessly sitting here."

The Baron's face was still gloomy. He started playing with a black card, of which a blood red spider pattern was printed at the top. It looked strange, and pretty at the same time.

    Wizard World chapter 9 Danger

Engel, holding bow and arrow, walked directly to the depths of the woods. During the half a month's time, He had become very familiar with the surroundings. Apart from the few times he went too far in-depth, unluckily encountered a white scale boar, basically nothing posed a threat to him. So his' steps were carefree and vigorous.

"Abnormal target found." A pale blue dot flashed in the corner of Engel's eyes.

"Oh? What kind of new prey is this?" Engel thought with a smile. He slowly removed a white-feathered arrow, aligned it with the blue dot, and forcefully drew back the arrow, calmly and steadily.

The black arrowhead reflected a metallic luster, in the wake of the sunlight fragments shining down.

The taut shortbow made creak sounds.

    Fzzt !

    A white line suddenly flew.

    Keng !!

Engel suddenly felt his scalp tingling. A danger sense that he had never felt before flowed through his mind, almost like a stabbing feeling into his eyebrows.

The bio-chip streamed some incoming data to his brain.

With no time to think, Engel jerked himself towards the right, dodging behind a tree.

    Bang !!

A weapon striking the tree headlong sounded. The tree the thickness of two armspans trembled, and bits of leaves started falling down, like rain.

"Hm?" A middle-aged man's voice sounded from far away, seeming surprised to see that Engel dodged the hit.

Engel's face became pale. he quickly reduced his stature behind the tree. His breathing became short gasps, and beads of cold sweat appeared on his forehead.

Just that moment, if he did not escape according to the bio-chip's prompt, even if he was a bit slow, the only result would be his head being smashed into a tattered mess.

Never for any moment had Engel felt death so close before.

"What to do? What to do?" His mind went blank. "I don't want to die ..... I have been given another chance to live ...... so how can I die again !!"

Engel's whole body trembled, and he had a deathly pale face.

After all, before his crossing, he was just an ordinary young man. With the kind of peace and tranquility in his Earth's environment, even to for him to hunt would be regarded as a very dangerous thing to do. Not to mention the dangerous situation right now.

"Run !! Right !! Hurry back, back to the castle for safety !!" Engel's mind suddenly sobered up. He carefully listened to surrounding sounds, but he did not hear the movements of the man. It made him feel uneasy.

His feeling to go back slowly drove him to move bit by bit.

Engel slowly crouched, carefully moving, and was moving in the direction back.

Suddenly he felt a piercing chill in the air. The bio-chip instantly sent a flow of data to his mind.

"On the right! Thigh!" Engel found the place where the other was going to attack. He rolled forward.

His head hit something on the ground, which he did not know what, causing a painful feeling. With no time to think, Engel suddenly climbed up, and franticly ran.

    Bang! !

An oppressive thud sounded from the ground behind him again.

"(TN: Profanity)!" The man's cursing faintly sounded from behind him. "Second time!"

Engel ran crazily, through the trees and vegetation. After half a month of activity here, he was very familiar with the surroundings, so his pace was not slowed much even in the forest.

But the cold feeling resurfaced through his back again.

Engel went left a few paces and the feeling still remained. Even after hiding behind a tree again, the feeling still existed.

Engel panicked further. He clenched his teeth, and made crazy maneuevers through the forest, regardless of the scratches or wounds he incurred from doing so. But the kind of inner bone chill still persisted and remained tightly pegged upon his back.

"Optimal response, turn and parry." The bio-chip's analytic response came.

However, due to his fear, Engel did not dare turn around. He still continued crazily running. Because he went deeper into the forest, he was still about 100 meters away from the castle field. But the 100 meters seemed like a insurmountable wall.

"Optimal response, turn and parry." The bio-chip prompted again.

    Crash!

    Engel rolled sideways again.

The whirl of metal chain sounds suddenly radiated from his original location. A black chain the thickness of an arm hit in that location, wrapped 3 times around a tree trunk, finally sprawled over a tree branch. As it did so, the hook of the chain made a sound, and stabbed into the tree. The chain perfectly struck at Engel's former location.

"Escaped !!" The man's voice sounded from behind. "(TN: Profanity)! Today really met ghosts(TN: As in, ghosts interfering with one's actions, from Chinese superstition)!"

Engel climbed up and wanted to run again. Suddenly felt cold on his shoulder, and rolled again.

A thunderous noise sounded, and a chain shot out at his location before, and nailed to a tree trunk not far away.

"Run .. can't run anymore ..." Engel suddenly felt a bit of despair. His' body was now locked in place by a piercing chill. He could not even dare to move.

"Do I have to die once more?" He slowly stood up, turned his body, and looked behind.

A black figure quietly drilled out from the woods behind.

This is a middle-aged man, whole body wrapped in a black cloak, with a black mask. His eyebrows were a rarely seen gold color. He held two chains, one in each hand.

"This is the end." Letting loose the chain, he hurled it. Suddenly a black color flew over. The speed was faster than previous other attacks. The black mark in the air made a sharp whistling sound.

Engel blankly stood. He felt a severe tingling and chill from above his eyebrows.

"I don't want to die ......" he muttered.

    Don't want to die .....

    Don't want to die .........

    Don't want to die ............

His words echoed through his mind.

The black whistling came closer, ever closer .....

Engel's eyes reflected a rapidly closing black dot.

"Optimal action: Stoop, draw sword, parry head." A bit of data instantly flowed to his head.

Engel suddenly had a startling feeling, his right hand drawing his sword in a flash. He raised it in front.

    Keng! ! !

An extremely heavy feeling came from the sword he held. Engel face flushed, and his mouth could not help leaking out a bit of blood.

This startling feeling completely awoke him.

Since he couldn't run, if he didn't want to die, he must fight! !

Engel's body became taut, and the every beat of his heart almost popped out of his chest.

"You got lucky, kid!" In the woods, the black silhoutte pulled the chains, and they flew back to him with rustling sounds.

The silohoutte looked deeply at Engel once more, and faded into the shadows.

Only when he was completely into the shadows of the forest, did Engel slowly relax.

He understood that if the shadow had not left, then he would be dead here today. Even if the chip assisted and corrected his actions, they were certainly not as fast as the other's conditioned reflexes. Currently, he did not have any combat experience, while the other seemed extremely experienced. If it were not for the bio-chip prompts, he probably would be directly killed at the start.

After a while, he recovered, only to find that a small black card was inserted there at his feet. He bent down to pick up the card, black with a red spider pattern at the top.

    ******************

Dess clutched his right arm walked briskly in the woods.

He wanted to kill the little kid, but unfortunately, during the beginning, the white feathered arrow had came towards him while he was not prepared. Though he promptly blocked it, the arrow still grazed his right arm.

It was this little graze, that caused his current bodily weakness.

"(TN: Profanity)!" Dess touched his forehead, burning hot. "Poisonous arrows! This (TN:Profanity) little (TN:Profanity) kid! How dare he use poison! He used so many sinister tricks!" He cursed, in a muffled voice. He hurriedly took out a little yellow bag, opened it, and swallowed some of the encased white pills.

"Almost died here. Thankfully, for this red-eyed snake poison, I made preparations in advance." But Dess still felt dizzy and weak, still poisoned. This is caused by intense movement accelerating the blood and the spread of poison. It would probably take several hours for him to fully heal.

"Next time, next time, I must first kill him!" Dess gnashed his teeth and spoke with clenched teeth. "Making me fall short, I let you off easy just giving you a card."

Suddenly, he stepped at an awkward angle, and was tripped by a vine.

    Bang! !

Dess' whole body stumbled onto the ground, and hit his head on a sharp stone.

" I .... !!!!" He knocked a dent on his forehead, and blood suddenly flowed down his cheeks. "(TN: Profanity) ah, ah, ah, ah!!"

Dess felt grievanced to the extreme. (TN: What bad luck)

    *******************

    Inside the bathroom.

Engel heavily closed the door, and shrunk down into the bathtub.

With the warm water completely soaking his body, it felt like his tiredness and tenseness from the day was all flowing out.

Until today, he had not truly experienced the degree of danger of this world.

He had his mastered basic swordsmanship, combined with the bio-chip's corrections, and improved physical fitness. He had confidence that his foundation was not much less than the general knight level. However, the foundation is one thing, but truly fearless, fully using fighting force, is another matter.

Engel dipped his entire head into the water. He recalled the black card previously issued by the man.

"Leaving the card, does it mean that he will come back for me?" There were many such novel plots in his past life Earth.

Engel became more tense. Unknown things are always full of mystery and fear. He had to figure out the meaning of that card.

He quickly straightened up, picked the towel on the edge to dry himself, and dressed.

"Master, you need more water?" Marie's voice passed in from the outside.

"No." Engel brushed his hair a bit. He opened the door.

Coming specifically for bathing, Engel did not stay here for another moment, and left the miscellaneous area.

    At night.

From within the castle, some vague shadows could still be seen practicing in the field. The night wind blew on the body, which felt cool.

Engel went through the training field, directly to the main tower.

To find information, the Baron's collected books are in the main tower library. So he had to go to the main tower library.

Throughout the castle, in exception to the trio of Howard, Otis, and the Baron, only Engel had the library key. It also represented his identity and status in the castle. In this world, books represented knowledge, and knowledge was a priceless asset. Only nobles could get taught to learn. A book, you can generally sell at a minimum of 10's of gold coins, but there is no market price.

The main tower guards seeing Engel coming, delivered a respectful bow.

    "Young Master Engel."

"Well, is my father in?" Engel nodded.

"The Baron has not come back yet, but just left with Croy." Croy was the son of knight Otis. The main tower not only included a library, but also an indoor training area, the two would often practice combat skills and techniques inside.

"I understand." Engel directly went into the tower hall.

Aside from his father's generation of people, the castle was divided into those who respected him, and those who did not. Croy belonged to the latter, as with knight talent, he was respectful to Engel on the surface, but secretly despised him. This is also the general attitude towards him of knight candidates in the castle.

    Wizard World chapter 10 Urgent

Going up and around the spiral staircase, he soon arrived at a third floor room.

He took out the key to unlock, and then opened the door, and came to a dark, lightless room.

Engel carefully shut the door and locked it.

He used a flint to light the candle on the table.

    The library suddenly brightened.

There were a total of three book shelves, with books sparsely spread throughout. Each book, made with leather, looked big and heavy. Almost every book was as large as his past life's Xinhua dictionary.

Engel frowned, but in accordance with his memory, he went to the third bookshelf. There was a book with records of strange details, with various and scattered notes of these stories. He had looked it occasionally to pass the time in the past.

He took that book and the records of people book beside it.

Engel sat at the book table, and began to carefully peruse.

Unknown how much time had past, a time that an entire candle had about run out.

Engel suddenly stirred. He reached a page of miscellaneous records, where a hand-painted black card spider pattern appeared in front of him. He pulled out the card he got earlier.

In comparison, they looked exactly the same!

"That's it." Engel muttered. He looked along the words.

The shadow group, a huge killer organization spanning several countries. The assassination targets often received cards in advance.

Even after reading such a short introduction sentence, Engel knew the meaning of the black card.

"That guy, he really will come back." A trace of panic quickly arose in his heart, but he quickly pushed it down.. "Anxiety will not do any good. I must find a solution."

After a daytime of intense fear, he had become much calmer. (TN: During the night currently)

"Is it not just death? It's not as if I have never died!" He smile, self-mockingly. "Zero, analysis of that daytime man's physical parameters?"

"It has been collected. The data target is automatically named unknown.

Unknown person: 4 strength, agility 1.5, physique 5. Weapons estimated to be using: Hooked chains, longsword, throwing knife. "

Engel gasped. "Such a frightening person. I actually survived from such a person's attempt, really ....."

"Survival reason, the other party in a poisoned state." Bio-chip automatically stated.

"Poisoned?" Engel recalled the arrow he had shot out at the start. Since he had last noticed the venom sac, he would paint his arrows all with the venom, so if he only grazed his prey, they could not run away. The one-eyed snake venom can be eliminated with high temperature, like in cooking, so it is safe for consumption. It is probable that the other was scratched at the start.

He quickly turned miscellaneous records and records of people. The bio-chip's storage ability would automatically record everything into his brain, which allowed him access afterwards. This is the advantage of the chip. You can do something and never forget it.

Aside from finding out the card origins, Engel's read was not without other benefit.

The book also told of another detail. The records wrote that, the author of the records, when adventuring in the forest, they unexpectedly discovered a flower, which after eating, made their body warm up, and their strength increased. But afterwards, there would be strong side-effects. There were 4 people who ate the flower to deal with a crisis, but afterwards, all 4 died. They are clutching their heart position on their chest before their death. On there were many protruding veins and arteries, which looked very scary.

Engel remembered these details. These flowers were characterized by their bright red color.

He skimmed the contents of the two books again, before placing them upon the shelf. Engel, standing on the front of the desk, was able to put out the candle. But suddenly, some footsteps sounded from outside the room.

    Kachit.

    The door opened.

The Baron opened the door, with a contemplating look upon his face. When he unexpectedly saw someone inside, he raised his head and took a glimpse.

"It's you, Engel, ah. So late and still reading?"

"Yes, father." Engel made a courteous gesture, and softly spoke, "I was just about to go back."

"Go then." The Baron was not in the mood to talk to his son either. With his blond hair messily draped over his shoulders, he gave off a tired feeling.

Engel did not have anything to ask, so he went to the door, around the Baron, and went down the stairs.

"Right." The Baron suddenly said. "In a while, I want to send you to Norman town, to your aunt's place (TN: Baron's married sister's place). I am busy with some things recently. Temporarily do not need you here, how about you go over there and rest and play.?"

Engel after thinking, felt that the Baron's proposal was really attractive for him. If he could really get out of here, maybe he could avoid being killed by that guy .....

    He was about to answer.

Baron suddenly changed expression, and sniffed.

"What is that smell? Why is it somewhat like a woman's smell? Engel, do less of those things, they consume too much vitality, as your body is still too young." He frowned.

    Engel was surprised.

    "I...."

"Well, no need to say anything, you go to rest." The Baron waved his hand.

Engel was quiet for a moment, glanced at the Baron's right hand, did not say anything else, and turned down the stairs. Rhythmic footsteps soon sounded from the darkness.

Engel went down the spiral staircase. Engel looked back at the library, where a slight bit of the yellow firelight leaked out from the doorway.

His face showed a trace of doubt.

    "Check my current physical status."

"Engel Leo physical fitness: Strength 0.8, 2.4 Agility, Physique 1.6: health state (contaminated with unknown smell)."

"Unknown smell?" Engel's face suddenly became contorted. "When was I contaminated? What is the origin of the smell?"

"Contaminated when leaving the woods. Source is ..." A transparent model of the human body suddenly showed up in his eyes, showing a strange blue light. On the right ankle, a dark blue circle marking is clearly shown.
    As I thought.....

Engel already knew where it was from. This thing should be put from that shadowy person. It should be used to track him.

He once again rushed to the bathroom, and told the maid to bring a bucket of water. Engel rushed there and tried hard to clean it off.

"Now is it there?" Engel silently thought after washing for a long time.

"Concentration quantity has not changed." The Bio-chip's reply frustrated him.

"As expected, it cannot be easily removed." Engel understood, that guy is going to continue looking for him. This fragrance signifies that they have a mortal conflict. (TN: Lit. You die, or I die / no death, no (conflict) end)

"..... No death, no end" He murmured. "If so, then let us take a look at who will die in the end ..." Signs of ruthlessness showed upon his face.

    ******************

Early next morning, Engel woke, before dawn.

After dressing, he went straight to the training field. There were some people already conspicuously training.

Engel did not pay attention to them. Alone, he went across the training field, and came to the miscellaneous area blacksmith forge of the castle.

    Tang! !

A strong old man with naked and built upper body held up a black hammer and continuously smashed the iron before him, throwing up sparks. Beside him stood a teenager, who respectfully listened to everything he said..

Engel coming nearby made both of them notice. The old man put down his hammer and went up to greet him.

"Young master Engel, what is it that you need?" His voice was hoarse, like a leaky bellow.

Engel eyes swept around the store in a circular manner.

"I want a high quality full body armor."

"High quality full body armor?" The old man's expression was between embarassment and laughter "There are some, but they might be somewhat unsuitable for you to wear ..."

    "Unsuitable?" Engel asked, surprised.

"The lightest of these types of armor is 40 pounds." The old man truthfully answered.

Engel knew why now. For his current power, not to mention unsuitable, with 40 pounds or more of weight upon his body, even if his agility is greater than 2, then it would be sharply brought down to 1. The losses completely outweigh the gains.

"If so, I want some iron spheres, like the ones used to pull carts. Do you have them?" Engel instead said.

"You can have as many iron spheres as you want." The old man straight-forwardedly answered. He pointed a finger at a corner of the shop. "There are as many as you could want. Those are made from the scrap metal from the castle, appropriate for use in pulling carts."

Engel nodded, glanced at the corner, where a dense pile of black spheres lay. It looked to be about 20 or 30 of them. All were fist-sized, looking heavy. Half the iron spheres used as central parts can be considered a good use of iron ore.

For his bodily aroma to attract an enemy, he had thought before of telling the Baron. But he prefers to handle his own destiny, rather than have others handle it.

And, more crucially, in the night, Engel saw the same thing in the Baron's hands. A black card with a spider pattern.

"Since coming into this world, if I cannot grow up and just keep relying on others, I cannot live long." Engel's mind has calmed down. Since the Baron also had a card, it means that he was being targeted by the same opposing side as well.. Based upon the bio-chip's test, the Baron's physical parameters are less than the man's. It seems that his facial color has not been good lately, clearly he was distracted. This way, even if he tells the Baron, he probably would not get help, so might as well rely upon himself. He carefully considered, with the chip, and his greater agility, in a true fight, he does not necessarily have no chance of winning. But previously due to his lack of mental preparation, he would become this embarassed state..

Engel mind became more and more calm.

He called some of the servants, and told them to carry away about 10 iron spheres. Then calling the maids to get some rope, he tied together all the spheres. He suspended the spheres from his bedroom rafters.(TN: the exposed wooden supports that can be seen in the ceiling of old Chinese houses.)

He was busy all afternoon. After dinner, the red light of the sun shone in through the window.

The bedroom is packed with 10 tied iron spheres, suspended in mid-air. It looks like 10 cannonspheres. It formed a small formation.

Engel, standing at the bedroom door, calmly looked at the hanging iron spheres. He took a deep breath.

"Start." He locked the door with his hand. He went straight into formation of iron spheres. Then he gently pushed, and the iron ball started swinging.

This is his purpose, the iron sphere formation.

On his past life Earth, he was a master at this game. In holographic simulation on his planet, he was able to endure for one hour of this challenging game.

Of course, a game is a game, while reality is reality. In order to actually do the same in real life, it is not a simple thing. Once he can really be skilled in reality, in accordance with the bio-chip's analysis, Engel will be able to maximize usage of his physical parameters. This is his first step of strengthening himself.

    Time passes.

    Bang!

An swinging iron sphere hits Engel's stomach again, and knocked him breathless. He suddenly lost balance, and immediately got hit by several iron spheres. He finally fell out, gasping on the side. This was his fifth time knocked out.

    "Give recovery time."

    "Twenty minutes." Bio-chip instantly analyzed.

Engel nodded and turned to go out the door, and went down the stairs quickly. It was late afternoon already. He came to the training field.

The field at this time is showing a fierce battle. Or better noted as a fierce demonstration.

The demonstrator was Knight Otis, with his son Croy. They are each holding cross swords. Croy appeared to be going all out, with his forehead full of sweat. Otis was still very calm, casually parrying Chris' attacks.

Apart from surrounding knight candidates, there are many watching guards and cavalry, incessantly cheering and giving loud applause. It was clamorous and loud.

Engel stood outside the crowd, calmly watching the battle. On the training field, every few days, knight Otis or the Baron himself would personally select someone to spar with, in order to improve the knight candidates' experience. And this was the reason Engel occasionally came. From time to time he would come to gather intelligence about everyone. After half a month's collection, he had almost completed collection of data of the strongest people within the castle.

    "Data collection complete?" Engel self-said.

"Data completion: Seventy percent of Otis. Kyle Leo, and Croy's swordsmanship data have been collected."

Engel no longer looked, and walked along the training field to the dining hall. After the sparring, what he did not need was to stand in a bustling crowd.

Most of the dining hall servants had gone to watch. Only two or 3 maids were still in, sweeping.

A little maid saw Engel come and took the initiative to greet him.

"Young master Engel, I have already found a part of the things you wanted. Only time is a bit short, I do not know if you need them yet?" The little maid was slightly nervous.

"Where are the things?" Engel waved for the other people to leave.

"Inside the kitchen." The little maid replied.

They walked into the kitchen, and saw that in the middle of originally dark and oily kitchen, the large table was filled with all shapes and sizes of vegetables, fruits, and all kinds of meat pieces. There were not a large quantity of each material, but there was a large variety.

"These are all the things I could find recently." The maid nervously said.

"I understand, you can leave." Engel nodded. He quickly went in front of the big table. As early as when he ate the one-eyed red snake eye, he had the idea to try all the food in this world, to possibly to find again some things to increase his fitness. So he privately to made a maid collect all these types of food.

He readily threw a gold coin to the maid, who was suddenly full of joy, bowed respectfully, left the kitchen, and shut the door.

On the kitchen wall was a lit candle in its holder. The almost completely dark sky and yellow candle light mixed together, giving off a befuddling feeling.

Engel readily picked a purple fruit, the shape of a tangerine, on the table, and then directly, gently bit it. A bit sweet and spicy juice flowed into his mouth.

"Analyze food components, and prompt me if any can enhance physical fitness."

"Analysis of components ....." Bio-chip's analysis began.

Wizard World Chapter 11 Urgent 2
Purple fruits, red vegetables, light blue spotted meat, more than 10 kinds of dried fruit, etc. Engel tried them all. Standing in the kitchen, The Bio-chip also reported its analysis of each component.

    "No enhancing components."

    "No enhancing components."

    "No enhancing components."

    ............

Half an hour later, Engel had a pleased face. He had finally found something, a vegetable similar to bamboo shoots.

"Discovery of strengthening component. Side effects: Diarrhea. Please name." For a time, he did not know how to take it, seriously, or with laughter. (TN: Like that blacksmith earlier about the armor.) Finally found something with great effort, but it includes a side effect of diarrhea.

"Named blue bamboo." Engel looked carefully at the blue shoots in hand.

Like bamboo shoots on Earth, these were conical, soft, and crunchy. It exuded a faint flowery scent. Among this brown shoot, there was a blue part about the center.

"Naming completed. Blue bamboo. Take 150 grams 30 times, to complete an enhancement cycle, taking three servings a day. Maximum strengthening effect is about 2.00 points." The Bio-chip sent data.

Engel stood, and a light blue transparent model shoot floated in front of his eyes. It showed the results of taking blue bamboo above the figure, according to the intensity of effect upon his body, from black to white.

The best part was the tip of the shoot.

“Shoot tip?" Engel picked up the blue bamboo, and gently bit the tip. A bittersweet taste spread about in his mouth.

These blue-shoots are a common local laxative, and it seems that nobody would have thought that it is a drug that could enhance strength. It actually must be continuously taken 30 times, each time over 150 grams.

"The analysis is complete, you can begin swordsmanship concisement. Combining everyone’s basic swordsmanship data, create a swordsmanship style most suitable for me." Engel assigned a task.

The bio-chip was similar to a computer, as you need to assign tasks so it could run automatically to complete those tasks. Otherwise, many of its features lie idle.

"Unfortunately, the Bio-chip can only perform one task at a time, otherwise, much time could be saved." Engel thought while chewing the shoot.

After eating the shoot tip, Engel tried the rest of the food, but did not find other food components that could increase physical fitness. He had no alternative but to give up.

He left the dining hall, and returned to the bedroom. Engel began again his dodge training. During this time, Maggie and Celia came to see him, but he turned them away. Currently, he did not have time or mood to consider other things.

For days, Engel strictly followed this type of training lifestyle.

    Bang!

Engel stopped a swinging iron sphere with the palm of his hand. Early in the morning, the light from outside the window shone upon him, and lighting up the entire bedroom. He was the only person in the entire bedroom, and the door was locked as well.

"Swordsmanship concisement complete yet?" Engel breathlessly self-asked.

"Concisement finished three hours ago, please name." The Bio-chip replied.

    "Basic swordsmanship." Engel randomly named.

"Named basic swordsmanship. Do you start a virtual demonstration?"

    "Yes."

    ssss....

A slight noise passed through his mind.

Engel saw, drawn in front, a shadowy figure with the same sword he did. The shadow similar to him flicked and thrust, a silver line flashing, and jumped forward. Then chopped left, struck right, and slashed downwards. Within just 1 or 2 seconds, the shadow had struck at the same point from 4 ways.

Because of super fast speed, in Engel’s eyes, it looked like a silver point emerged in front of the human silohoutte. It was a visual remnant from the 4 strokes at the same point.

Following were, a block stance, attack stance, full strength stance, counterattack stance, and dodge stance. A wide variety of swordsmanship, with every action succinct. It looked very efficient.

After the demonstration, the shadowy figure disappeared.

Engel came back to his bedroom. He began to carefully ponder about the demonstration.

"Since the Bio-chip refined out this swordsmanship style, then it signifies that this style is enough.

He glanced at the cross sword on the table, walked over, and picked it up.

It had a somewhat rough sword blade, with the Leo family coat of arms on top, an eagle attempting to fly out from thorny underbrush and soar high. The sword was a silver color, and it reflected a bit of white shine.

Engel gently readied the longsword and was about to try the sword style in accordance with the Bio-chip’s demonstration. Suddenly, horse hoof sounds came from outside the window. Engel opened the window to look.

On the road outside, the Baron, wearing silver armor, rode on top of a white horse. He carried a black sword on his back, with the blade as wide as a human head. Behind was a team of 10 cavalry wearing black armor.

Everyone ordered into the same team, advanced towards outside the castle.

The horse group went further and further, and soon disappeared at the end of the road, only leaving faintly stirred-up dust.

Engel knitted his brow. Only after the horse group completely disappeared did he close the window.

    "Marie!" He shouted.

Tap, tap, knocking sounds came from the door. Engel walked over to open the door.

Maid Marie was cleaning her hands in the doorway, as if to wash something off.

    "What’s the matter, young master?"

"Where is my father going?" Engel asked directly.

"It seems that there is some trouble at the silver mine, so the Baron is going out to take care of it." Marie quickly said.

"Oh, I understood." Engel nodded. "You can go, oh yes, how is that Cecilia right now?"

"I put her in charge of sweeping and cleaning your room, young master Engel." Marie respectfully answered.

    "Alright."

"Yes, young master, Otis seems to have returned to the territory this morning already. Also, Howard is recruiting new maids. Before, due to theft incidents, several maids were executed, so the numbers need to be replenished. It might be a bit noisy for a while. Howard asked me to tell you. " Marie said.

"I understand." Engel nodded and closed the door. It is now November, which is the recruitment time of the territory, and also should be the time of taxation of the territory. From Engel’s memory of before, this should be the busiest time of the year.

After closing the door, Engel looked at his physical parameters again.

Strength had risen from former 0.8 to 1.4. The role of blue bamboo is very obvious.

"Soon, after 3 or 4 days, I should have finished preparations" Engel looked at the hanging iron spheres, and his eyes showed a trace of viciousness. "Now there is only one last goal to meet."

    ******************

In the forest surrounding the castle.

Dess, cloaked in black from head to toe, crouched on top of a tree branch, looking at the nearby castle.

"Engel Leo. Heh, heh. I will get rid of you (TN: Profanity) first, and then complete the task, not too late then. Last time let me suffer so much, this time see where you can still escape!"

After Dess returned last time, he again carefully collected all of the information on the Leo territory castle personnel. He found out the identity of the little kid he met last time. Seeing himself sent packing by a spoilt rich kid, Dess felt his reputation has been greatly dishonored.

Only after preparing once again, did he come alone again, to restart the task. This time he could be said to be foolproof.

The Baron luckily happens to be away, so he can go to the castle first to get rid of Engel. Then kill the Baron returning mid-way. This way, he could complete his task easily. This is Dess’ plan.

He squatted on the tree branch, quietly watching the castle entrance, waiting for a time when the door is open.

Creaking sounds suddenly passed over. The gates are slowly being let down.

A ordinary-looking boy with a pale complexion slowly came out, followed by two guards behind him. The three together went to the forest, on the side.

Dess saw the boy's face, and had anger rising within his heart.

"That's him! This (TN:Profanity) guy actually dares to go out! Very good ...." Dess wickedly laughed, and noiselessly slid down from the tree branch and blended into the forest.

    ******************

A cross sword and quiver hung from Engel’s waist. He carried a longbow on his back. He wore a black archery ring on his finger.(TN: On pull finger, help with pulling arrow) He walked, alone, towards the woods.

Engel had tried his best to persuade the two guards originally following him to leave. They have gotten used to Engel’s habit of hunting. They did not think it was dangerous, so they did not persist in following.

Engel vigorously persuaded them to go back because the deed he was about to do next could not be known by others. Otherwise, he would be hard-pressed to explain.

Walking through the large training field, Engel quickly walked upon grass, and entered the forest.

Just after walking a few steps, The Bio-chip’s prompt rang.

"Found unknown creature, in a state of attack."

Engel’s whole body shuddered, feeling the cold feeling from last time, with no time to think, he rolled forwards.

With a whoosh, a silver throwing knife hit where he originally was at. If he was a bit slower, the knife would definitely pierce his stomach and his life.

"You again !!" Engel felt the familiar sense of danger, and suddenly recalled his own panicked flight last time. Some raging anger actually emerged within his mind.

"Notify me of the other’s attack orientations." He self-thought. He rapidly climbed up up and hid behind a tree. Then, as he previously drilled, he rapidly took out the longbow and fitted a white-feathered arrow.

    Creak....

The pulled taut bowstring sounded. On the white-feathered arrow, the black arrowhead reflected a faint bluish purple, evidently coated with poisonous materials.

"This time, it’s not just the one-eyed snake venom ...." Engel body remained taut, as he carefully listened to the movement around him.

"Die!" He quickly exposed himself, released the bowstring, and quickly hid again.

The white-feathered arrow seemed like a white line into the distant bushes. A faint parrying noise sounded. Clearly, the arrow hit the target, but it was blocked.

A slight blaze unwittingly formed in Engel’s eyes. The feeling of danger at anytime, anywhere, to his life excited his entire body.

Like last time, chain sounds arose.

Engel, hardly stopping, shot another arrow, and charged forward. He ran according to an S-shaped path.

Rapid footsteps immediately followed up behind him. The other side would soon catch up.

Engel quickly drew an arrow and shot. He crouched, and leaped downhill.

After rolling down the slope a few times, he threw aside bow and quiver, and pulled out his sword.

The sound of scraping metal emerged from drawing the sword, about an cold face covered with bits of grass and dirt.

"Although it’s somewhat early, I can be considered ready to battle." Engel held the hilt in both hands. The silver sword body reflected off a bluish purple coating.

The footsteps from before quickly approached.

Engel took a deep breath, gathered body strength, like a coiled snake. His gaze was glued to the top of the slope.
