Looking forward to watching it!
What episodes are aired already?
I'm onto ep 24. So far, I am happy with it. I prefer ZHZ more because of the characters and intensity of the plot, but MYZ looks like it is building up into something special. For MYZ, the pace is a bit slower as the story starts with her parents and her upbringing. But there is a large focus on the sisterly relationship between the Mi sisters, what ever sweet moments they share now will affect them when they turn on each other.

I am up to episode 14. I can see why someone would skip around xD I personally ended up doing something else instead of looking at the screen and only listened to the dialogue. The pace is very, very slow. They expend a lot of time exploring different characters like the "extremely beautiful" girl from the other state

and other random things.
I do so love 黄歇, though. He is unconventionally handsome and I love his personality.
I think Mi Yue and the King are soulmates. They both have a vision that they share together. They might not love each other passionately or only have one partner in their lives, but I do believe that he/she is irreplaceable in each other hearts. Mi Yue understands the King and the King has introduced Mi Yue to a different intellectual level that is above the "self". I actually quite enjoy their time together.

I've been skipping around too. So far, I really love the sisterly chemistry between Mi Yue and Mi Shu. They're both so sweet! I can't bear to watch what happens to them later because I like both characters too much.
As for comparing to ZHZ, it is a lot slower with a lot less concubines. And a lot of the schemes is already repeated in other series so it feels less interesting.

I have to say, Ma Su looks quite beautiful as Lady Wei and her acting is pretty good as well.

I enjoyed Zhen Huan Zhuan very much in the past. I hope this is just as good. I think I may give it a try. I wonder if someone could tell me how long the show is (how many episodes in total), please?
The pace is slow enough to be going backwards and the schemes are not new at all. My hope is that the "big story" is more comprehensive than all the predictable cliches that populate every episode.
Then again, I just watched Nirvana in Fire, so my standards are high.
Let's post some videos.
I am impressed that they do realistic props. Gives the series an authentic feel.

I have to say, the childbirth scenes in this movie distressed me a lot. Both Liu Tao and Sun Li were very realistic in their portrayal, and having two kids each, the really brought out the pain and fatigue of childbirth.

Ma Su is so cute in real life.

Sounds like a fun cast.
