Two more gorgeous photos of the gorgeous Huang Yaoshi (Michael Miu):

I think Shagua (the Idiot) was the girl on the bottom right corner...

I think I will still give it a miss as the storyline will be about the same.
Maybe, if there's request for it.

As for the story, I agree it is still fresh in our minds. I think another remake this soon is unnecessary. But they gotta do what they do. Hopefully it'll be good at least.

That's the 1st time I've seen a green screen from a Chinese on-the-set pic. Well, at least the peach tree is real...

there are some green screens in the Nirvana in Fire thread. I think the green screen is really for a CGI (some peach blossoms floating around etc) and not just as is - sorry if I state something obvious.

No, I meant the peach tree exists as a real physical object, rather than a CGI one, or something that was "green-screened" into the scene...

Also, I just wrote an essay of East Heretic's character based on the LOCH book:

Nice pictures. Can't remember Ouyang Feng having such a "weapon".

    OMG, nice!

So Han Dong is the Central Divinity now? Still not warming up to Hong Qigong... They should've asked Felix to play North Beggar...

I hope the actual show doesn't disappoint. ROCH 2014 had all sorts of prettied up character posters and look at how that turned out.

yeah, the only reason I will watch this is because of Michael Miu and Ray Lui. I'm a sucker for the oldies. I agree with the tendency these days for pretty posters yet disappointing contents... so I'm all for better acting than pretty glossy posters...

The last picture of Guo Jing and Huang Rong on the last page actually looks pretty good. I blame Guo Jing's earlier pictures with bangs. But he still doesn't look like Guo Jing. =/

Michael uploaded this poster on his weibo today (or last night?). What does it say? It's him and Li Yitong's Huang Rong.

Apology if the below sounds rude:
    1. GJ does not look like GJ in my mind.
    2. Similarly for HR. Too sombre/troubled look. Looks more like Zhuo Zhiruo in my mind. Prefers to smiling/adorable HR.

Producer is being very clever. I see sombre HR in white as test pilot/prelude to introducing icy cold XLN in a later production. If HR is all giggly and cheery, newer audiences (perhaps even Koreans, as this definitely seems to be targeted at viewers outside of Mainland China) will be thrown off when they see XLN's character in stark contrast in the sequel...

pardon me... but I don't really understand your explanation. XLN and HR are two different characters, why should new audiences be surprised to see the somber XLN later after HR?

I mean, for instance, I never read Langya Bang before watching that series, but I understand that Princess Nihuang and Consort Yu have different characteristics, and that's okay for it provides nuances for the series. I also didn't watch LOCH 83 until last March, and I can enjoy HR's characters without comparing it with Little Dragon Girl's (though I don't fancy XLN, but that's because of the way her character is written, not because I want her to be another HR).

According to the translators in Kaypang Gallery, tomorrow (2 July), there will be a live show to promote the 2017 LOCH series. To attract both oldies (like me) and new generation viewers, they chose Michael Miu with his Huang Yaoshi and Li Yitong with her Huang Rong in the live show. Not sure what channel, but it's 12:30 local time (Shanghai time, perhaps?).
