These Chinese-American productions (movies 1 and 2 already out at time of writing) are the best Asian CGI movies I've ever seen. I used to think the Final Fantasy CGI movies were "da sh1t" (in a good way) when they first came out. But the DragonNest movies are like at least two levels up from FF in terms of storytelling and overall visual effects. That's b/c as another reviewer on IMDB put it, the DragonNest stories aren't half-arsed. There may be a third movie coming out in the near future. Goody! Anyways, I thought that the first movie was the better one of the ones already released. BTW, these movies were made to be seen in 3D, unlike the FF CGI movies from like over a decade ago, so that's an added bonus.
