NiF - Hu He (Guo Jing 2008)
NiF2 TWBiCL - HXM (Yang Guo 2006)

It's almost like they got HXM to be in it coz he played YG.

I'm pretty sure other actors production team (once) considered for NiF2: Andy Lau (YG '84), Louis Koo (YG '95), Richie Ren (YG '98), Chen Xiao (YG '14).

It's so quiet in this thread... Nobody watching this show? Or don't want to talk about it?

Things NiF2 may have done better than NiF (I'm only on Ep5, so these may not play out):

- OMG will there actually be a boss fight this time? Mei Changsu couldn't do jack coz he was disabled and using Fei Liu to fight is just taking the easy way out.
- CGI/SFX seems better than NiF
- OMG, the way the female lead dodged the flying needles, that shot was so unexpected and cinema-like. Tribes&Empires had a boss fight at the end that felt like a million-dollar shot. This one was simply made in NiF2 but felt more epic!!

It's official:

Feb 2018 Best C-drama I've seen to date NiF2 (but only up to Ep5 as of now...)

IMO NiF2 >>> NiF coz the main chars can now fight!! (I mean come on if a drama is to belong in the martial arts genre, at least have the MC fight unlike the cripple MCS...)

To me, NiF2 can be summed up in one word: disappointing

The happiest scene (to me):

Epi 31 or 30: There was a scene with Tingsheng holding a vest and reminiscing about the past. We were then treated to a flashback (albeit ever so briefly) of that scene in Lang Ya Bang 1 where Fei Liu and Mei Changsu were gifting the vest to boy Tingsheng. Mei Changsu pretending to be innocent, Fei Liu and his pout, and Prince Jing and his scowl. What a treat haha.

The saddest scene, to me:

Epi 50: There was a scene where the lead mentioned that Lin Chen had always told him to let the dead go, not to miss them. For those who were resting in peace, having their loved ones miss them was akin to still having cares in the mortal world and thus not being free to leave in peace and go to paradise. Or something like that. I couldn't quite help but think that Lin Chen must miss Mei Changsu and Fei Liu very much.
