Default Wuxin: The Monster Killer 《无心法师》 - Elvis Han, Gina Jin, Wang Yan Lin

As recommended by other users in a local forum, I watched until episode 13. Easily score above 90% !
Very good production by Cai Yi Nong and Tangren production team.

Supernatural Fantasy theme.
Web broadcast only.
Based on novel.

Trailer .... better not watch it for the spoilers since the drama is only 20 episodes

It was popular in China as well while it was airing, and a sad ending..
Can I ask how you insert image (not a link or attachment) in each post? Thanks!

upload the file at imgur.com
copy the generated URL result on the right side, it looks like this .... http://i.imgur.com/abcdef.jpg
add before and after
it works across 90% of forums on the internet

there are other image hosting websites like tinypic, imageshack, photobucket but they are not as reliable as imgur that holds the image for years without error

Watching this right now and it's easy for me to say this is really good! Up to episode 5 so far and the acting has been really solid. Relatively young cast as they're all mainly 90's kids but everyone is really into it. It moves at a really good pace unlike most C-dramas which tend to get draggy as good as they can be. I believe there's only up to 20 episodes.

I like the OTP and Commander Gu is HILARIOUS !! I don't think it'd be the same without this guy. Talented good-looking young cast, I can see why this was popular among the young crowd. Tangren production is clearly doing something right.

Do they ever show or explain Wu Xin's past and his previous lover? I'm 10 episodes in but they haven't mentioned anything about it besides the fact that he doesn't know who/what he is. I'm curious about his lover before Yue Ya.

I just finished this drama at almost 3 in the morning. It gave me all types of feels. Lord Gu is the real MVP! He is what you call a true friend! I think this was a very good drama, especially considering the fact that it's a webdrama also. I read rumors about a season 2 happening so I'm looking forward to that. <3

Just wanted to take some time to appreciate Lord Gu and his friendship. <3 These are some of the screenshots I could get. Of course, there's more that he's done than my collection here but this was some of the most heart touching scenes. Not sure how to get rid of the attachment box below so ignore that. xD

Cai Yi Nong said they were preparing for the film? version in 2016 , pushing season2 production into 2017. Airdate late 2017 at earliest.
Don't get the hopes up ... the longer it drags it more likely it loose the tempo. Bubujinqing is an example of a long delayed trainwreck.

I'm kind of like. Um, meh. It has some funny moments and I'm a sucker for bittersweet endings, so there is that. Some parts, I expected it to be logically cohesive and I just end up not having a clue what happened.

Recommend? Yes.
Spectacular and unforgettable? No.

Is there also a sequel to the actual novel?

I don't know ...
the web novel consist of 3 or 4 chapters of different era in 20th century china
republican after qing , world war 2 against japanese , cultural revolution
I remembers the summary said wuxing had to hide his abilities in the 3rd chapter cultural revolution as "magic" was not accepted and would risk being a target of witchhunt

I finished the series and hope there will be a sequel to it... I want them to reveal what Wu Xin really is. It is very good, but lack the part "What is he"... a sad ending but really love it I didn't need to skip at all like other series.
