Default Nothing Gold Can Stay 《那年花開月正圓》- Sun Li, Chen Xiao, Peter Ho

I wonder if anybody is watching this? The title was what really caught my attention, because of the poem.

    Regardless, the story sounds interesting:

It tells the story of a woman whose resilience and intelligence allows her to overcome all odds to become the richest person in Shanxi. (DramaPanda)

    Ratings seem good too:

Along with being commercially successful, the series also garnered critical acclaim, and generated much positive reviews and discussion on micro-blog site Weibo and popular review site Douban, which gave the drama 8.5 out of 10. (Wikipedia)

Thanks for creating this thread. I am watching up to ep 32 now. It is not the best series around but it is likeable. The pace of the story is fast and the pairings are new and refreshing. I do find that sometimes the rudeness of Sun Li's character is over exaggerated, but you dot ge used to it. Chen Xiao is actually doing quite well as the childish immature brat with a golden heart. I love Peter Ho's Wu Ping and I love the veterens who play Wu Ping's dad and Zhou Ying's dad. The acting is very good. Nice to see Yu Hao Ming back and he is pulling off his complicated role quite well.

I do find that Myolie is a bit of a miscast and the costumes doesn't really make her look as beautiful and smart as her character is supposed to me. Acting wise, she is doing OK. Niki Chow pops in and out of the story.

I dropped this after PeterHo died. His death took so much out of me I couldn't stand to watch his wife and family go through hardship. Will pick this back up when it's finished.

Myolie really is a miscast. I was hoping she'll get better but I think she's just not suited for the role so she stands out.

So glad to see Mimi Kung back on TV. I still have a soft spot for her from The Snow is Red.
