If there is no 18 Dragon Palm manual, could this mean:
1. It is still in Peach Blossom Island?
2. It is still in Emei?
3. It is still with ZZR?

a_t: I was watching the last 2 episodes of 2009 HSDS. ZZR mentioned to ZWJ, "If I was bought to Wudang instead of being sent to Emei, ..." - was this also stated in the novel? I tried searching the wuxiasociety english translation, but cannot find it. Actually, too lazy to do a thorough search. So, can you remember?

Wumu , 9-yin, Huang Yaoshi martial arts, and Hong Qigong martial arts.
both HYS and HQG have so many martial arts, not only one or two, so we dont know what kind of martial arts they put in the peach blossom island, i dont know why Jin Yong gave a vague information regarding this (unlike the 2nd edition novel which gave a clear information). plus there was no mention about it anymore after this. so no clue what ZZR did with their martial arts manual.

after the Lion-Slaying ceremony event, Yellow Dressed Maiden told everything to ZWJ, then ZWJ asked one of ming cult banner to retrieve the fragment of broken sabre+sword .
YDM was the descendant of Yang Guo, and know the secret behind the sabre and sword, she forced zzr to tell everything including where she buried the broken sabre+sword.

what we sure is only 9-Yin (later stole by Zhao Min) ,and Wumu war manual (gave to Wuji, then Wuji gave to Xu Da)
and also the iron plate (that engraved guide to peach blossom, later taken by yellow dress maiden by force)

Based on the 2009 series, all these did not happen:
1. ZZR was captured by Beggar Union, hence XX had no choice but to be captured.
2. No drawings in the dungeon when zm and zzr went down.
3. ZZR was quite determined to kill off XX. Failing to kill him by herself, she did earlier arranged for an Emei disciple to "kill" XX.
4. XX did noted that he knew all the evils committed by ZZR.
5. ZWJ did noted that he has questions to ask XX, but no chance as the latter has decided to become a monk.

the drawing on the wall by XX in dungeon only appear on 2nd edition book (probably 1st ed too but i never read it), JY removed it from 3rd edition .
but its not related to how ZZR figured out XX already knew the secret, first , the story was after the lion-slaying ceremony event (so it's after ZZR tried to kill XX) , secondly, the one who went inside hole/dungeon to check were Wuji and ZM , not ZZR

actually i like how Jin Yong revised the story, XX is not a literature type person , plus there was no equipment to engrave , but of course that make the story even vaguer
