Sadly, Chinese nowadays doesn't seem to either produce and make other GREAT novels, or nobody else in China is as good as Jin Yong was. My guess is the latter. Jin Yong is in a league of his own! NO one else can write what Jin Yong can... if I am wrong, then WHY aren't no producers making TV series out of them?

So, aside of Jin Yong based TV shows, other Wuxia TV series just aren't nearly as good.

But, I am open to watch them, if they have decent Wuxia action (none of that Air Fu crap!) and good enough acting!

Yes, Smiling Proud Wanderer. And HSDS will be in production as well. Along with new ROCH series, and LOCH-ROCH movies, each getting their own trilogy. I say that's quite a bit of JY stuff. lol

As for Gu Long, there's Proud Twins. Should be interesting as we haven't got that one in a while.

Thanks. Yes, will be good to watch JY's Smiling Proud Wanderer (the only one I watched was 2000 Singapore production) and GL's Proud Twins (the only one I watched was 1979 HK production). As usual, looking forward to your video posting when they are out.

Yes, I very much look forward to those as well. I'm surprised there's no new DGSD.

The last one we had was not bad, but that was 2013. Could use a new version of DGSD.

no trailers yet, all of them are still announcement ,some at shooting stage

announcement > booting ceremony > shooting > after finish shooting, then production stage (this is where they make trailer) > aired

production stage usually takes more time than shooting , its why we can assume its not guarantee that they would be released this year, but also 2019

The problem with Smiling Proud Wanderer is the cast are all unknown. Which means stations is in no rush to order it. As we have seen with last year Ode to Gallantry, a series that was done since 2016, but struggled through 2017 just to get it air.

Hopefully smiling, proud will be a different case, as it is the more popular JY story.

There is a lot of new actors in these new TV series I never seen before but will see if the trailers are good. Trailer is the main thing that will determine my interest if actors/actresses I don't know.
