69. You're in total denial of a HZGG III and decide that your fanfic is what actually happened

70. Your typing skills dramatically inprove from constant practise

71. You're positive your favourite character never got enough screen time, so you write a fanfic with them in it 99.99% of the time

hehe...after reading all the other reasons...no more denial, I'm addicted to fanfiction!

72. You can make yourself a hero/heroine in your story
73. Your history grade of ancient China increase to A plus since you make a research for your wu xia story
74. You can create your own swordstyle which is inspired after you see some dog fighting
75. You can use your boss name as the wicked character on your story.

Hi,
I relatively new to this fan fiction business but I couldn't help but add in my own reasons for being addicted to fan fiction. Reading that is.

I believe we are onto number -

76. So that you can (but really can't help doing anyway) and start naming your daughters 'Ice Blossom' 'Snow Blossom' and 'Winter Blossom'. And if you had sons 'Dark Blade', 'Iron Sword' and all the colours of the rainbow so that they can star in your fan fictions.

77. In your fan fiction the main characters, that is the heroine and hero can actually 'act' and by that I mean real tears and no eyedrops either

78. You can have the most funniest or most ridiculous names without being laughed at.

79. In your fan fiction, you dont have to pay the 'ke li far' (translation: the unattractive maids behind the empress waving their fans)

80. You start behaving like your fan fiction character only to find out that you've been writing about yourself all along. And you know what no-one knows about it. Isn't it great!!!

Okay, that's it for now. Cheers Anne

Cool

81. You can describe your main characters as the best looking couples on earth.

82. You can create your own kungfu theory in your wuxia universe that are unrival to JY's.

83. If you write more than one wuxia stories, then you can even form a debate or forum on which hero is the best fighter.

84. With it, you can also form continuity in martial arts practice in wuxia. ie, deterioration theory, etc.

85. You can create the ultimate martial arts and dare your friends to debate why can't your characters defeat any top fighters in JY's.

86. You can depricate limbs of artists at whims. And you don't have to pay for the hospital fee either.

87. You can cast the light skin Louis Koo in your fanfic and you can recall the youth of your favorite artists in the 70's.

88. You can always put ***** as fade out when you are tired of writing details.

89. You can change gender of the character in one snap...

90. You can put different dynasties side by side in a fantasy fanfic.

91. The readers will be more tolerate with your grammatical errors than your teachers.

92. You can use the favorite artists as many different roles in one story and more and don't have to worry about their working schedules.

9 more....
Someone has a go, please...

Thumbs up

93: I can combine young Leslie Cheung when he was 20 years old with Vicky Chao (maybe we have to use time machine to make it real? )

94: I can use my boss name and make her/him misserable in the end of the story.

95: I can create the most handsome or the most beautiful girl in my story without being able to imagine how they really look like.

....... come on guys...we need only 6 more points to make this 101!

Hi everyone,

I dont think I finish it but I'll add something

97. You can write about 60 personalities (all 60 of them are about the different facets of your own personality) - without having to see a psychologist or psychiatrist. All in the name of 'creativity'

Cheers Anne

Hi! I know there are already 101 reasons, but I think this topic is just too cool to end. So I have come up with some more reasons, in an attempt to push this thread up.

102) You start receiving hate mail from your angry readers, who are gunning for your life because you haven't updated in more than a week.

103) After reading your hate mail, happy tears form in your eyes, because you realize that there are people who love your story enough to take the time to threaten you.

104) You get to laugh until you can't breathe properly after reading some of the detailed and gruesome suggestions from your readers to kill off certain annoying artists.

Hahahaha!!!

This list is so damn hilarious!

105. You get to write all the rubbish you thought of in your entire life and won't get flamed, unlike Tsui Hark when he made The Legend of Zu and Jackie Chan when he made The Myth.

Now I think I want to write my own fan-fic too!

106. You can make up your own rules and laws (if you're writing about lawyers)

107. You have the power to choice concepts, determine what is right or wrong and still don't care what others think.

108. You can choice 1000's places to write about without any travel costs or worries about plane tickets and waits.

109. You get to live your dream chapter by chapter.

110. You are full of pride when you are done with your fanfic (after 100's pages of words in microsoft document) and you'd bet your friends can't write as much as you do!

111. You get to brag to people that indeed you can write *although things you are writing is not grammarically correct.

112. You wouldn't funk English if you verb/tense don't match because you don't have to worry that your English teacher having to read it.

113. You can use your fanfic for English projects as part of your creative writing assignments.

114. You can make yourself a star while the star you hate as a commoner or a nobody.

118) You get to live through the emotions of others.

119) You get to experience what it is like to have certain diseases (ie> cancer, anmesia, leukemia, etc) when in real life you are 100% normal.
