That's the thing, though. We never get to know how talented these kelefes are sometimes. I mean, considering that most of Ouyang Ke's concubines were (presumably) kidnapped and bribed/seduced/threatened/Stockholmed at a fairly adult age, their martial arts development aren't really bad, especially as they were never taught any really good arts. It's not like the Passionless Valley people who (presumably) grew up there and learned to throw nets around since young.

Were there any kelefes from the old TVB series that reappeared as significant figures in later wuxia series? I recognised a few of them, Francis Ng as one of the clowns of Tibet and Sean Lau as a guard in a Qing dynasty serial (D&C?), but they tended to be big names in modern series. I suppose the closest I can think of is Sean Lau as Li Shimin in Grand Canal, so there is the possibility that, with the right planets in conjunction, a palace guard can have the talent to become emperor of China.

Chan On Ying (who played TSTL in DGSD 1997) is on the left, and that's Chan Yuk Lam on the right. Yuk Lam's biggest role would be Hong Lingbo in ROCH 1983, I think. On Ying would play many many roles for TVB, but her biggest break would probably be Zhu Er in HSDS 1986.
