No one is truly immortal, but the great writers live on in their works. Jinyong cemented his place in that pantheon decades ago. We fans of wuxia are fortunate to be the receivers of his legacy. I am deeply grateful.

VERY cool concept, though it would have also worked equally well if the heroes were greeting Jin Yong into Wuxia Heaven.

Cool picture. It's pretty crazy from such little detail and just the backs of the characters, a lot of those characters are recognizable.

The ones in front should be Linghu Chong, Ren Yingying (though I thought DFBB at first), Guo Jing, Huang Rong, Yang Guo, Dragon Girl, and one all the way in back should be Xiao Feng.

Are the three in the middle Huang Yaoshi, Yideng, and Hong Qigong?

Been so long since I've been back, but I heard the news earlier.

Coming to this thread has brought all the tears.

RIP. You gave me all of my childhood heroes Mr. Cha. You'll be missed dearly by us all.

Nice picture, a_t. I also thought the one in red is DFBB. Strange to put RYY to be some distance away from LHC.
In the middle, not sure whether the centre is Yideng (initially thought the person is some nun) though very likely since they represent that generation.

Pretty sure the Monk is Sweeper Monk.

Yideng never appeared with a staff, neither did FZ and XC and the other big name monks. That thing is likely a broomstick handle.
