Default GF and Mo Brothers: were they *that* untalented, or was GJ just that bad a teacher?

Gwok Fu and the Mo Brothers never really got anywhere as martial artists, despite having one of the most powerful martial artists of their time (Gwok Jing) as their teacher. Granted, Gwok Fu and Mo Brothers did not have much in the way of talent for martial arts, and Gwok Jing wasn't as good at teaching martial arts as he was at using it in combat himself. Still, which of the two factors would you say contributed more to Gwok Fu and the Mo Brothers never advancing beyond mediocre level in martial arts? Was it more their lack of talent, or more Gwok Jing's failure to teach them properly?

I would say it was their own lack of talent. Guo Xiang had the same opportunities as them and she became a great talent.

I think it was because GF and the M brothers weren't too interested in learning martial arts since they already had two elite bodyguards around them all the time. Plus, GJ and HR wanted GF and the M brothers to indulge in life leisures and were willing to do the dirty combative work.

They didn't have the passion for martial arts, maybe.

    Myriad of reasons I reckon.

    1. I think HR and GJ were too busy defending the city.
    2. GF and the 2 brothers were well-taken of by the city civilians who held them in regard out of respect to HR and GJ.
    3. GF and the 2 brothers didn't seem that interested in martial arts.

With all these 3 reasons combined, it is not a wonder that GF and the 2 brothers are mediocre.
