No martial arts expert, isn't tai-chi supposed to a balance of yin and yang? Use yin against yang and yang against yin.

To an extent all martial arts must balance Yin & Yang.
Take for examples 18 Dragon Palm & Tai Chi.
18DP is considered the most power external/hard martial art, yet the emphasis is on control and subtlety.
Tai Chi is the softest art, but when attacking crashes down with the weight of the Oceans.

Scientifically, it should be fine. It's like eating durian (yang) and mangosteen (yin).

Did SPT is the only person in JY universe which can "combine" Yin and Yang but it's like due to "freak accident" but if Yu mean combining Yin/Yang with "normal training" I think no one in JY novel can do it..

Z3F knew some of 9yang before creating tai chi. Wouldn't this mean he has both flowing through his body?

Can zwj's words in series be trusted? He just told zzr that 9 yang is not suitable for females.

I think Cheung Mo Gei misunderstood what was going on. While he was using 9 Yeung inner power to heal Chow Chi Yerk's injuries, he noticed a countering yin force emanating from her body. Cheung Mo Gei wrongly believed that what was resisting his 9 Yeung inner power was Ngor Mei Sect inner power, but actually, it was the 9 Yum energy that Chow Chi Yerk had acquired from having started secretly training in the 9 Yum Jen Ging.

In this series, zzr asked zwj to teach her 9-yang and the great shift. Then zwj noted that 9-yang is not suitable for females.

...which flies in the face of the fact that it's at the root of Ngor Mei Sect martial arts, invented by a female named Gwok Seung.

Wuji once said to zhou zhiruo that probably only Zhang Sanfeng can combine yin and yang.
but at that time Wuji already learned Taiji/ Tai chi .
    isnt that awkward?

Nothing unusual about that. The leader of the Persian Ming Cult is customarily a woman.

In ROCH Gong Sun Zhi had a skill called "Yin Yang Twin Blades" which was powerful, however I'm not sure if we can count that as practicing or combining both Yin and Yang skills?
