After LOCH ended, Gwok Jing and Wong Yung retreated to Peach Blossom Island and remained there for the next thirteen years, not venturing back to the Central Plains and returning to active status in wulin until their first child was twelve years old.
Presumably, Gwok Jing and Wong Yung didn't return to the Central Plains earlier because they became parents within a year of the end of LOCH, and the demands of parenthood precluded them from rejoining wulin any sooner. If they didn't have children during that timeframe, however, do you think they would have returned to wulin much sooner? After all, Wong Yung was the Chief of the Beggar's Union, and the Mongol threat continued to loom over the Central Plains even though Genghis Khan had died.
