Default Did Dook Goo Kau Bai intend for Heavy Sword Technique to be a one-handed technique?

The Heavy Iron Sword was, by definition, HEAVY. So heavy was this weapon that most people would struggle to lift it with both hands. Though Yeung Gor, by necessity, learned to wield the weapon with one hand (having lost his other), did Dook Goo Kau Bai intend for Heavy Iron Sword to be wielded with both hands or one?
