    Default Any Badminton Fans?

So does anyone like Badminton? I love it, whenever I play, my sis & I smack the Birdie so hard, we have to get a new one. LOL! So anyway, I love this sport.

Relaxing? You obviously aren't playing real, proper badminton then.

No I mean if you're a professional badminton player you can't move a lot. Look at the Olympics they get tired because they played for a long time like for hours. If you're a professional badminton player you just move your wrists and if you need to move your feet. I played with my friends and I was so tired because I ran over this court and yeah while she just hits and aims in the direction she wants without getting tired like me.

What are you talking about?? That's utter nonsense.
Let's take a look at the stats........
1985 World Badminton Championships - Han Jian vs Morten Frost. Han Jian won 14-18, 15-10, 15-8.
    Time: 1 hr 16 mins
    Shuttle in play: 37 mins
Match intensity (actual time shuttle in flight divided by lenght of game): 48%
    Rallies: 146
    Shots: 1972
    Shots per rally: 3.5
    Distance covered: 4 miles
    You were saying...........

Look at the Olympics they get tired because they played for a long time like for hours.
Umm, in most sports people get tired when they give their all. Whether it's in the Olympics or not. What's your point?
Btw, you just contradicted yourself - how can badminton be tiring and relaxing at the same time?

If you're a professional badminton player you just move your wrists and if you need to move your feet.
    That made no sense whatsoever.
And any good coach will tell you simply relying on your wrist will lead to injuries.

I played with my friends and I was so tired because I ran over this court and yeah while she just hits and aims in the direction she wants without getting tired like me.
    That's because she's a far better player.

So tell me, how can you say it's a relaxing game and then talk about how professionals and you yourself get tired?

My GOSH !!! Ok I'm not going to argue on what I think anymore or else it will drag on and plusit's IMO. And plus you use your wrists to twist?? So you can actually hit it? My friend was better than me in that game so yeah . But anyways... sorry don't mean to put up the whole act .

woah, i think u might be mistaken on a few aspects of the sport of badminton.

Lin dan, the world no. 1 player, doesn't train his abs and thigh muscles just to stand around and flick his wrists.

Badminton is too easy. I've never played it before but the first game that I played, I actually won. Doesn't really give you as much exercise as tennis but it's pretty fun. Anyone can play it.
