    Default About the name "Miejue"

    Miejue means destroy and eliminate.

Was this name given by herself/someone else?

her teacher name probably given by Guo Xiang,

I think her teacher's name is Feng Ling.
I think Athena did once gave some details about Feng Ling, and I have forgotten everything.
Why would her teacher gave her such a name unless she hated the world to the core.

Could Feng Ling's idea is for Miejue to "destroy and eliminate" negative emotions and/or evil? The problem is that Miejue always equate Ming Cult as evil.

hm... i like that idea and opinion, seems reasonable.
after all, dont think Ming Cult is always a good cult like the era of Wuji as leader.
they were called demon cult not just because they worship fire.

If we were to adapt Mit Jeut See Tai's name for an English-speaking audience, it would be Rita Repulsa.

It must have meant the elimination of desire (like 七情六欲), a common goal for Buddhists. Obviously, MieJue conveniently twisted the word and used it in the most literal sense.

Before the death of her senior, has Miejue hated the Ming Cult?

Her brother, Fang something, was supposedly killed by Xie Xun, so yes, she has enough reasons to hate Ming Cult.

Oh, I do not know that she has a brother. Thanks for sharing.
What is Miejue's actual name then?

It's only mentioned her family name was Fang. It's not clear whether Xie Xun killed her brother before or after she joined Er Mei (probably after).
