Default Who was the most influential wulin persona in Jin Yong's canon?

Within Jin Yong's canon, which character would you say was the most influential in Jin Yong's canon? By influential, I mean in shaping the direction of martial arts and martial artists throughout wulin, establishing norms and practices that would cross the passage of time and generations and differences of sects and clans?

Where did he appear in JY novel? What role did he play?

Would GJ and HR be good choices? Afterall, they defend Xiangyang to their deaths.

he is the emperor and also the founder of Great Song Dynasty.
he is also the creator of "Founder's Long List" martial art, the most popular skills in the JY martial world, nearly everyone in Jianghu know this common skill or practice it.

    Wu Ya Zi.

    1. His preference to other disciples over DCQ created a bitter DCQ who then terrorize the wulin and his followers using poison.
    2. He made Xu Zhu so powerful that Xu Zhu would refine the Xiang Long 18 Palms thereby affecting subsequent legends like Hong 7 Gong and GJ.
    3. Lingjiu Palace became "good" because of Xu Zhu/Wu Ya Zi.

Not in the sense I mean. Though they were great heroes during their lifetime, they created no enduring martial arts legacy. A generation after they were gone, nobody practiced their martial arts anymore, and they founded no ongoing wulin institution of significance (their daughter Gwok Seung, however, is a different story...as founder of the Ngor Mei Sect, which became one of THE preeminent schools of martial arts across multiple generations).
