Default Cheun Jen Sect - excessively cruel to the Jin flunkies?

Towards the end of ROCH, we discover that the surviving warriors who once served Prince Yeun Nan Hung Lit of the Jin Empire - Sa Tung Teen, Pang Lin Fu, and Ling Tze Seung Yan - had been tortured and maimed during the nearly forty years they were in the Cheun Jen Sect's custody. The men had been blinded and crippled by Cheun Jen Sect members during their long imprisonment, as vengeance for their killing of Cheun Jen Sect Taoists when they were in the Jin Empire's service during LOCH.

While the former Jin flunkies were indeed wulin criminals who had committed abominable crimes, I think it sullied the Cheun Jen Sect's reputation as a noble and heroic school of martial arts and Taoism for them to treat the flunkies with such excessive cruelty. It would have been enough to destroy the flunkies' martial arts, imprison them for life at the Chung Yeung Temple, and force them to perform hard labor. It was not necessary to torture and maim them, as they were already helpless and in the Cheun Jen Sect's custody.

It's due they try to escape many time and kill some of QZ people during their "effort" that's why QZ punish then like that (except the 1st person which no blind since he's not try to escape)..
