Default Yip Goo Sing - was he aristocratic?

In the LUK SIU FUNG saga, Yip Goo Sing held the title, "Lord of White Cloud City." This implies that he was of aristocratic birth/status, and indeed, he is usually depicted as having an aristocratic air about him. Was Yip Goo Sing an aristocrat?

Is he the bad guy? Then, he is a hypocrite, right?

He simply served a different master/goal.

Was Murong Fu truly a bad guy? He was just trying to restore his kingdom. Was ZWJ a bad guy? He restored the Ming Sect which went on to overthrow the government. Was DFBB a bad guy? He was less violent than RWX.

OT: Is Yue Buqun a hypocrite? He just wants to be No 1 in wulin. Is Cheng Kun a hypocrite? He just wants to go against the Ming Cult for losing his lover. Is Wanyan Honglie a hypocrite? He just wants to be with the woman who loves his life.

My issue with your statement was "is he the bad guy", rather then whether he is a hypocrite...

OT: Actually, what I meant is that he should be "more" hypocrite than bad.

Sai Mun Chui Sheut castigated him as "insincere." He claimed devotion to the sword above all else, but put political ambition before the sword. He promised Sai Mun Chui Sheut a duel, but instead used the duel as a cover to attempt to assassinate the emperor and usurp his throne.

Yes, though to be fair, Yip Goo Sing never told people to avoid joining coup attempts.
