Which wuxia story had the best beginning?

Which wuxia stories do you feel had the best beginnings: the ones that immediately got you hooked into the story, engaged with the characters, and performed profound world-building that made the story irresistible, right from the start?

Actually no. i tend to skip/fast-forward the beginning of the series if I knew the story-line.

Somehow, it seems that it is the middle of the series which is the climax:
1. HSDS - zwj defending ming cult at brightness peak
2. DGSD - xf,xz and dy becoming sworn brothers
3. LOCH - gj meeting hr and learning skills from h7g
4. Handsome siblings - xiao yu-er grew up and his adventures

Soft spot for Guo Xiang so i'll say HSDS

TVB DGSD '97 with 100 Flying Dragons creating explosions everywhere.

QCJ (swordsman shows up with severed head)

Then the setting of the tone- the pride and honor of Guo and Yang Sr- and the strong patriotism in a time of conflict (naming their children Guo Jing and Yang Kang). The bond between sworn brothers and setting up dualism and fate of the future protagonist / antagonist. The symbolic daggers each will receive

Followed by relaive tragedy as Ox village is raided

and then the Druken pagoda scene with QCJ and the 7 freaks. At the point in the story, the entire scene was just awesome. It embodies a lot of the Wuxia tropes with a badass fight

I'm agnostic on Deun Yu. He's not my favorite Jin Yong protagonist, but I don't dislike him either.

For DGSD? The first couple of paragraphs was ok with the introduction to Wuliang Sect and DY as an onlooker, but then some rodent proves itself to be hexxor enough that skilled martial artists cant handle it and from there its DY being annoying along with pure dumb luck for the next 7 chapters.

For how much I had heard about DGSD, when I tried to read the novel....
The first few chapters were agonizing.

I don't think I enjoyed any parts of the story or characters until the interaction where the monk and evil #1 did the whole "how many fingers do I have when I am this age?"

I found the Evil #3 and DY subplot and the see my face and I marry you trope quite tiring also.
