Gwok Jing's father, Gwok Siu Teen, perished before GJ was born, but in spite of this loss, Gwok Jing never wanted for father figures. In his youth, Gwok Jing's father figures included Jebe, Temujin, five of his Freaks teachers, six Cheun Jen Sect Taoists, and North Beggar Hung 7 Gung. For a youth who never met his father, Gwok Jing had plentiful father figures.

No question, just an observation. Gwok Jing had great luck amidst terrible luck: he was unlucky that his father was killed before Gwok Jing was even born, but lucky in that plenty of great father figures emerged to fill that void.
