Default Divine Finger Snap vs. 1 Yeung Finger: which has better range?

Which has greater effective striking range: East Heretic Wong Yerk See's Divine Finger Snap or South Emperor 1 Deng's 1 Yeung Finger Technique?

Yideng and GWM were exchanging finger fire and palm blasts at 1 zhang (10 feet). Huang Yaoshi fired a pebble at GWM from several zhang which shook his wheel and hurt his face with the fragments.

i think YY finger is better because in a longer exchange of fight, HYS would run out of pebbles to shoot whereas YD can continue to shoot his finger and close the gap. HYS prob have advantage initially with a longer distance attack but dont think he can beat YD that quickly, so in a drawn out fight i say YD wins

If We talk about "power" Yiyang Zhi > Mighty Finger but in terms of "versatility" Mighty Finger was better since could fired in short or long range attack..

i believe HYS divine flicking finger doesnt require the use of pebble, it can be used as LDA too

Does HYS walk around with a sack of rocks?

Like in the middle of a fight, it'll be inconvient to be searching around for pebbles and rocks to flick.

From the tv series, it appears that 1Y requires the use of inner power and flicking finger just requires flicking some rocks/small objects. Range-wise the former wins but speed wise it is the latter.

The divine finger snap can be used to attack the opponent's body directly - it only needs pebbles when attacking at long range. Examples of that happening include:

    • HYS fighting against OYF on Huashan (he tried to flick OYF but got his finger bitten instead)
    • YG against Wu Santong
    • HYS using it to knock out the 3 Mongolian mercenaries in his friendly contest with YG

With sufficient internal energy, a wooden sword can have the force of a steel sword. And with enough advancement, anything can be a sword: a branch, a blade of grass.

Can't he pick his nose and flick the bogey at an opponent?
