Default Guo Xiang in edition 3

there is an additional information in edition 3 about Guo Xiang didnt learn 9-Yin.

    Chapter 30:

    Google Translate:
Zhou Zhiruo suddenly asked: "Senior, I heard that some of the masters in the martial arts a hundred years ago were proficient in the Jiuyin , is that true?"

On the Wudang Mountain, Zhang Wuji heard Master Tai talk about the name of the "Nine Yin Zhen Jing". He knew that Guo Jing, the father of the heroine of the Emei School, Guo Jing, and Yang Guo, the hero of the carved sculpture, would all use the martial arts of the Jiu Yin Zhen Jing. However, this Kung Fu was too difficult. Although Guo Xiang was Guo Jing’s biological daughter, he failed to learn it. Hearing Zhou Zhiruo asked, he thought, "Did her founding ancestor of the Emei School, after all, pass some "Jiuyin" Kung Fu to them?"

Xie Xun said: "It is said by past people over and over, but no one knows the truth. if we believe to the old people that said they are amazing, if someone is learning the martial arts today, and is fighting alongside Wuji, those three Persian envoys should be kicked out." Zhou Zhiruo: "huh," she stopped asking.

Zhao Min asked: "Miss Zhou, does any of you in the Emei faction learned this martial arts?" Zhou Zhiruo said: "If anyone from the Emei faction has this magical skill, teacher will not be killed in Wan'an Temple." The root of the death of her teacher was Zhao Min, and Zhou Zhiruo hates her so much that even she is in the same boat day and night, but she has never spoken to her. At this moment, Zhao Min confronted her head-on, and bumped into her. She has a gentle personality and speaks like this, which is the most unwelcome language in her life. Zhao Min was not angry, but only smiled.

"Although Guo Xiang was Guo Jing’s biological daughter, he failed to learn it." - * he = she.
Did GJ ever tried to "teach" GX? Afterall, GX has no access to the manual since it is "locked" in the sabre later.

I mean she's not "fail" since she not learn 9 Yin at all (due her young age) not because she "dumb" so if she have a chance to learn 9 Yin (if her parents not die earlier) I think she would able to learn this manual "properly" her "minus" in learning martial art not because she "dumb" (like GJ or GF) but because she is not take it "seriously" just like teen HR..

Gwok Seung left Seung Yeung Fortress at age sixteen, shortly after the end of ROCH, to seek out Yeung Gor and Little Dragon Girl. As far as we know, she never saw her family again. Thus, she passed over any opportunities she might have had to learn the 9 Yum Jen Ging. I'm confident she had the talent for it, but she didn't take the opportunity when it was available to her.

The phrase is better translated to 'also was not able to learn'. In context, I take it to mean that 9 yin was too difficult for her, so she was never permitted to learn it, despite being GJ and HR's daughter.

In my opinion, this is absurd, since GJ and HR were about the same age when they were first exposed to 9 yin, and GX was said to have both talent and intelligence far in excess of what her father had, plus she had a excellent foundation from an early age. She could also freely ask her parents for help, which was a luxury her parents did not have. And in the event it was still too difficult... they could simply do what Xie Xun did and have her memorise it, and decipher it when she was ready and able to do so.

The problem comes down to the fundamental premise of HSDS - having a secret (that could not be found elsewhere) hidden inside two near invincible weapons sounds cool, but when you get down into the details of why it was done that way, it becomes convoluted. After all, why not just leave the secret with a trusted third party, instead of sealing it away (which could lead to it falling into the wrong hands, or not being available when most needed)? JY gives a couple of reasons, but they come off as lame excuses, and have the side-effect of making GJ/HR seem like they did not trust anyone, not even their children.

Talented but no interest to learn? Because her mind and heart only have space for YG.

HSDS has some wonderful set pieces, but it hangs together the worst out of the Trilogy.

Nah. I would say LOCH is the best, then HSDS then ROCH.
