Default Question regarding Search Engines' search history

Hi, sorry if the title doesn't make sense, but for some reason, after I type in a word to search on Yahoo, the search history stays there...I never had this before, and was wondering if I could get rid of it.

Like for instance, I type in Shui Ling. next time i go to type something else in like Spcnet, and my previous searches show up in a drop-down bar.

The same thing happens w/ my personal page on my college's website.. I type in my student id, and the password automatically appears... I need to get rid of that or else someone could go into my site.

Does this have anything to do w/ cookies??

    please help..thanks

    Yes.

And usually, on my computer, when I visit a new site, it'll always ask me whether or not I want to remember the password so I don't have to retype it.
I'm an "angel on the battlefield of love." *laughs* How ironic...

    Goto:

internet options > content > auto complete

Disable the password storage from there.

Hey that's the least I can do in return for all those pics you posted on the forum.

Oh btw, make sure to click the "clear passwords" and "clear form data" if you want them to be cleared out.
