Hey, I'm not demanding! I'm a perfect . As a devoted Vincent fan, I had to voice my anguish .
Yea. I'm sometimes afraid of posting in this thread when I don't have an update. I'm afraid of exciting anyone unnecessarily. The good news is that I'll have some time to write tomorrow.

Now Mel, be nice to Sunni. Tis ok he doesn't want to read all our fangirl gushing over the smexy Wallace. He needs to be slowly exposed to such hotness. Otherwise, it will be too much to handle .
I took care of my thread crasher already. He won't be boo boo'ing our drooling over Wallace Chung any time soon. :

Hey Mel. Thanks, my finals did go pretty well which means my sleepless nights of cramming paid off lol. I'm totally comfortable with the idea of meeting if you and HaoMei don't mind.

LOL, i'm not going to be disappointed with your SFF/Wallace Chung story. I'm actually glad you are making a side story about Wallace even though he's not suppose to be part of the main cast.

Now don't be too humble about your writing skills Mel. Your writing is great and I love how you incorporate your creativity into your writing. Most importantly, I admire how you still have the determination as a writer to finish your story even after so many years. As for me, I worked on my story for like 3 weeks and gave up on it already lol. I'm glad you are not like me because if your were then all of us would never get to read your beautiful story. So thank you very much for working on your story with your own free time!

I might not be around much once the Spring semester starts but I will eventually come back to read your new chapters. Keep up the good work, I'll be waiting for your next chapter!

Hi Melanie, I’m a new reader...even though I’ve known about your story for years I’ve never really sat down to read it...mainly because of laziness... but yesterday as I am currently on holiday and have nothing to do I decided to give your story a go...78 chapters almost gave me a heart attack. I like you to know, I spent 8 hours readying your story no stop and found it extremely enjoyable.

I love how you twist our plot and although I don’t agree on some of your decisions, mainly the most recent one; I am still looking forward to it eagerly.

I think I must be the only one who does not like Chi Chi, I find her quite useless to the storyline and somewhat annoying in her antics, although she sometimes cute, but it feels like she’s a child lost in an adults world.

The majority of your current cast annoys me somewhat, each with a different reason, I think the only person I was not annoyed with was Yik Wah, but you killed him, I also liked the Blue Executioner, but he’s currently holding Sui Han captive and somehow I doubt he will leave this scenario alive. I have a guess on how it will end but I will hold my ‘keyboard’ and see what happens.

I like how you portray some of your characters, especially Sui Han, I know she is not suppose to be a damsel in distress character, but out of the 78 chapters so far, it feels like the only time she was ever acting as her real self was when she killed the Silver Executioner. All the other times she was always playing up to her helplessness, it doesn’t help that you injure her in every chapter she appears.

Good god, that girl should be dead multiple times by now with all her wounds.

Throughout the journey, I was hoping you’ll separate her from everyone else and let us see her real nature, but she’s never alone for long. You were building her up as the last boss but so far, her character has not moved forward into that direction, she even lost the Moon Sword; I’m looking forward to that segment, she’s the character I want to see develop most as I believe the story can only move forward with her next move.

Your currently at a deadlock and have too many open ends, I marvel at how you will tie up all these loose threads. Your currently moving away onto another tangent so I know the story will have to halt to a standstill until the back story is completed, but hopefully you will find the energy to continue soon.
So in love with Ariel Lin right now...

Gosh, with all these replies, I thought Mel updated . Well, I actually find Chi Chi cute and funny. Childish, definitely, but it is a good break from all the violence and multiple deaths. With such a large cast plus Mel have been hinting at eliminating more characters, I have this fear that Chi Chi will be next to kick the bucket . Suk Yu and Lap Chun probably won't end up happily ever after.

I'm still uber excited about the story of Black Rose

I thought Mel updated too . Yea the last thing I want is for ChiChi to kick the bucket. But I also wanted Suk Yu and Lap Chun to have a good ending though. Did Mel say that she would kill of either the SukYu/Lap Chun couple or ChiChi/Kevin couple before?

Mel is evil, hence she only hinted at "unhappy surprises". If my memory is correct, she did once mentioned that there will only be 1 happy couple at the end. I'm with you, after all these chapters, I've grown attached to the characters despite their flaws and weaknesses. It would be awesome to have a happy ending for the major players.

I actually read it all in one go so Chichi's annoying interference with the major storyline really got on my nerve. I doubt Melanie will kill off ChiChi at this moment, I bet the next to will be Ada and Steven...of course Steve Ma Jin Tao will go first, since he's got the main girl for now. Ada and Steven has no impact to the storyline, they barely appear and when they do they do not help with anything besides constant annoyance.

The old couple will likely kick the bucket soon as well.

I'm so bored I've started imagining the next bit...

Ok, I know my post will make everyone think that I've updated, and I'm sorry to disappoint everyone because this is not an update. I haven't been checking this site for a little over a week, because I've been working through the holiday season. (It has been very busy at work, as winter is the busy season for me.) Finally, today I'm off of work and have an opportunity to check my story thread! And what a wonderful present I find! Naturally, I am ecstatic to have another new reader, but I am also extremely happy and grateful that all my old readers have continued to keep this thread alive in my absence. Thanks, everyone.

Originally, I intend to complete a chapter before the end of last year. Unfortunately, I have been so tired after work that I haven't had the energy to write after coming home. Last night, however, I did manage to write a few more pages of Chapter 79. Everyone's comments here in the past couple of days have amused me quite a bit, with all the speculations about who will be the next to kick the bucket. In fact, all of your comments have inspired me, as I have been having a bit of writer's block about certain characters' situations in the story. Like Linda has mentioned, I was at a deadlock, but I think I may have just broken free, and thankfully for my sake, the story can go on again. Everyone here reading the story has made some predictions on what will happen next and who will be the next to exit the story. Hopefully, I won't be too predictable and still will be able to throw a few surprises at you. As for who will be the next to kick the bucket, do you all really want to know now? It will ruin the surprise. I'm tempted to throw out a hint, but I know some don't like spoilers. I need to run out and do some errands. But I'll be back to writing again tonight. Again, thank you so much for everyone's support and for keeping my story thread so lively and interesting with your messages, even though I haven't been contributing much lately.

I have more to say in response to everyone's comments, but I don't have time right now. I just want to drop by and say thank you to everyone. I'll say more when I post the next chapter. Happy New Year, everyone!

Hi Mel! Take your time with the next chapter! I understand what a writer's block feels like.

Please don't kill the Blue Executioner! He's sort of crazy amd creepy and I used to hate his guts, but so far, he's the most sexy villian left in the story (Since my ex-fav Siu Tin is now a 100% psychopath and sociopath and has lost his appeal to me! )! Can you keep him around for a little while longer?

Keep up the good work girl!

I second that motion...Please keep the Blue Executioner around, he is currently the only bad guy without attachments...all of the guys in here are paired off...leave some room for the imagination...evil Ma Jin Tao is so hot...except you scarred him...

charbydis and Linda: Whoa, all of a sudden there's a Blue Executioner fan club forming here and gaining force. Actually, I do think Blue Executioner is rather hot with his evilness, but that may be because I have recently developed an affinity for hot villains. It's funny that you girls have mentioned Blue Executioner, because I am writing about the guy right now! All right, I'm going back to writing.

Tweety, dear, if you want to go willingly with Sit Chung Nam, then it's no longer called kidnapping. Also, with the amount of drooling you're doing, I think Sit Chung Nam should be frightened of you, rather than the other way around.

Well, if I just stand up and follow him when all he has to do is smile at me, then he wouldn't get to show off his bad boy image. And I'm a sucker for that . Hence, we will call it "kidnapping" because I will pretend to be scared, angry, and unwilling

tweety: Okaaaaay.... Let's just hope Black Rose is not as complacent as you, dear. Maybe she'll make Sit Chung Nam's life difficult and take a few whacks at him.

This is completely off topic, but I wish Wallace Chung would hold a concert here in southern California. If he did, we could go together, scream at the top of our lungs together, and then run him over trying to hug him.

Well, unless you want to make "read me like an open book" Yik Lun go totally hot and evil (crosses fingers), then I guess the Blue Executioner is the villian i am rooting for! I like his unpredictability and mysteriousness! Have no way of knowing his intention.

Imagine if the Blue Executioner died and possessed Yik Lun!

Wow so much is going on lol. Since we are talking about hot bad guys, i would like to add Raymond's character as well (if he counts).

Between, Mel I also like the raymond/selina parring . Don't know if i mentioned it before or not but I find this pair pretty interesting.

oh my...yes that would be awesome...it'll be even more awesome if he kidnaps Sui Han and tries to do the dirty deed with her...muhahahaha...

    Raymond's evilness is also legendary...

On a side note, because of this story I went and got my copy of HOTY's out and re-watched Gilbert and Annie's scenes...I'm in love again.

I watched "The Year of the Chameleon 97" and I hate "soft rice" Ben. Lucky I always have a copy of HOTY around!
