I use to watch The New Adventures of Chor Lau Heung with Miu and Barb many times when I was a kid because I loved it so much. Watching too much can get bored. I mean I still like the series now, but I don't watch it as much.

I think the only series that I watch at least once a year is The Grand Canal, my all-time favorite series. The other one that I also like, but have only watched once is The New Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre. I don't own the 1986 version so I've only watched it once online. Also, it's hard to watch series online, so I don't watch it more than once.

The New Heaven Sword and the Dragon Sabre 1986, because of the good fights, good story, good hero, good love story, and outstanding acting.

I watch these two again and again for laughs:
    The Young Wanderer
A Tough Side of a Lady

She plays the student of Huang Yaoshi 黃藥師, named Cheng Ying 程英. Like Huang Yaoshi, she dresses in green and plays the flute and occassionally wears a golden mask.

I like to watch "glittering fortune" and "revelation of the last hero" over and over again. Both of which I have watched over 20 times (multiple times a year). Also, there's this 90's series starring Fiona Leung, Marco Ngai, etc. that I like to watch around Chinese New Years every year (can't recall the title at the moment) because New Years was a big thing in the show. The show is about Fiona's brother and best friend co-owning a Kareoke bar and was conned by their trusted employee and so owed a million hk dollars. Fiona's brother thought of a brilliant plan to trick his parents into giving them the money w/out letting them know their son is a failure. He had Fiona and Marco pretend to be a couple and they had to leave together after Marco's place caught on fire. It's a great comedy that centers around family and relationships and also show how a person at his lowest could eventually succeed if he works for it.

How come most 江湖 (jiānghú) wanderers never worry about money? I wonder how a 大俠 (dàxiá) make a living...does meddling in people's business and righting wrongs pay well?

HSDS 86 is the winner for me- even before the advent of DVD's and online streaming, I faithfully borrowed the VHS series from my local (and sometimes not so local, once the tapes started mildewing!) TV serial rental store once every few years to watch it!

Recently I've been very taken by some relatively more sentimentally focused works that I rewatch now and then- I really do like angst!

E.g.s of TVB serials that stand watching (at least in part) repeatedly
    King of Yesterday and Tomorrow
    Eternal Happiness
    HSDS 2000
Lofty Water Verdant Bow (I'm a little embarassed about this one, since it really isn't a very strong production- mostly I loved the angst! )

"Golden Faith" watched more than 15 times, and still watching!

And "Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre 2000", but I only watch the scenes with Joyce Tang and Eddie Cheung together!

Yea, I like the old TVB series. Not into the new ones. I like the Book and Sword too. There are many many versions of both Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre and Book and Sword. Both very nice stories.
