I don't think GYY has had any plastic surgery done on her face. She's a natural beauty whose features are enhanced especially well with makeup.

I didn't know that GYY was so self-conscious about her teeth, though. They look fine to me, but I guess she wants them perfectly straight? When will she be getting the braces off?

i read tat its only a tooth that is out of place and its giving her mouth or chewing problems so the dentist adviced her to have it straighten asap. shes supposed to be wearing it for 3months so i guess it'll be off in around may?

hmmm, although she cannot beat lyf in looking as young as the novel described, i think gyy looks more cool and aloof...those sad eyes would be perfect when she is pinning for yg. also, she has this sweet innocence which makes her perfect as the naive xln.

Gao Yuanyuan might not look as young as the novel described but I think LYF erm... she's not that hot and the thing is, she looks like a KID. Yang Guo/Huang Xiaoming is just going to look like a paedophile. @.@;

I am watching WF. I wanted ot watch it initally cause of 00, but she is not main. I am more intersted with Michelle and Wallace

but i got to say, GYY did a good performance in there,showing a face of jealousy, anger, vengeful, merciful, kindness, and loving

First, thanks to sunnysnow for the photoshop. It's quite good and really helpful for my own assessment.

I admire GYY's looks plenty. She's very pretty and I did think that she will be a better XLN than LYF. However, seeing the photoshop, there is something amiss when GYY is in XLN's garb. Just can't place a finger on it but something just doesn't seem right.

Just for reference, I went back to rewatch an episode of DGSD (the one where DY and WYY were hiding in the wooden house from her cousin MRF). Seeing LYF again, and in the photoshop comparison, I am now swayed by the producer's choice to use LYF as XLN. I think she can pull it off. Now I can sit back and wait for ROCH's release with no fcloudy overhang.

yeah..thats pics i took of her role as zzr in hsds and in world's finest..so it's not like in sync with the xln's costumes. if gyy was casted as xln, she'll have make up, costumes and hair designed to enhance her beauty and suit her image, the ones now are designed to suit lyf so actually its not accurate tp judge how gd gyy will look as xln based on putting her w lyf's costumes and hair. puz my photoshop skill's are really raw..so it looks weird. but anyway, its juz to console myself cause gyy most prob wont get casted as xln anymore.

but anyway im growing to accept lyf as xln little by little..she does somehow look the part though really too young in my opinion. but i'd rather her thn someone else like maybe zhou xun??

yeah her roles are always the petty/jealous type but shes great with those expressions...not any actress can pull tat off. i find her role in wf similar to that in hsds with exception that she gets the man. both characters start off as kind ones but are somehow forced/influenced to become evil...in hsds, by her teacher and in wf, by her father. both characters are tragic ones too. but i prefer her character in these 2 series as compared to the princess one in mh...at least zhou zhirou and piaoxu have depth and different angles, plus they are intelligent and determined.

in mh, qinzi, though very beautiful, is juz too weak and gullible....to put in bluntly, shes a bimbo. alyssa's character in mh is of course much better thn gyy's but is too clumsy and silly...it juz pales in comparison to zhao min in hsds. i juz hate the scriptwriter who created the charaters in mh...the characters are juz one sided, flat and shallow such that i think any newbie can pull it off.

I heard that the role that 00 was given were of 2 different characters. Her first appearance on screen was as a good natured "girl" and then she dies or something like that and then she reappears again in the second half of the show as an evil person from (japan?)

Oh. it is the same person. OO plays a "wolf in lamb's wool" the whole time, to speak. In the beginning, she was a japanese girl with powerful kung fu. SHe followed her father's orders. After she met LYP, her dead sister's husband, she betrayed her father and lived with LYP.. well in reality it was a plan from her father and Damian lau the whole time. Her love for LYP was true, but her intentions were deceptive the whole time.

Yea your right, no offense to lyf, but i can't imagine her as xln. She really isn't like OMG beautiful like gao yuan yuan, she just alright. Can believe that she is getting better roles than gao yuan yuan though. anyways how old is lyf?

i dun think anyone can answer your last 2 ques since its not even aired in china yet. but 00's role is quite large, she plays the love interest of benny chan and lu ching. she's probably the main or 2nd main actress.
