It's quite good. Even better if you study Operation Research (Maths) at uni...

It's definitely a worthy buy. Russell Crowe got robbed when he didn't win the best actor Oscar for his role.

It means that Russell Crowe should have won the Oscar.

No, I wouldn't recommend buying or even watching. It really didn't deserve an Oscar nor should russell crowe get that oscar. The only interesting thing about the movie is the part about his best friend, the rest is incoherent, inconsistent and absolutely draggy to the point of boredom. At the end I only know this man is a schizophrenic and yet I knew nothing about his work, his life, anything. This is a movie where the length is long but in its contain absolutely nothing worth knowing about.

Watch Gladiator, Russell crowe's best movie. Or the pianist, a more moving and yet emotionally detached biopic.

Wow... Fun Lim is actually the first person who dislike the movie.
I think this movie was great. I really really loved it.

I would recommend it in a heart beat. This is a drama, not biography of Mr. Nash's work. So I would say, it is very well made drama.

I hate Gladiator. It's so typical heroic-type kind of movie. Beautiful Mind is so much better, or Russel Crowe's other movie wih Al Pacino "The insider".

a beautiful mind is an excellent movie. i was reluctant to go watch it, but it was money well spent. i even watched it another time w/my brother, and several times when it came out on HBO.

gotta show some love to my lin alg professor, since he did all the math work for the film.

    it's a great movie
i didn't like The Gladiator over this because the action didn't interest me more than the plot of the film, Jennifer Connelly is pretty in an elegant way, i think i like all the maths and intellectual sounding material in the film hehe

yep, my linear algebra professor did all the math work for A Beautiful Mind. he was an extra in the movie too, in the pen giving ceremony to John Nash at the end in princeton.

i heard that john nash, who still holds office hours @ princeton, often follows girls around and hides behind trees to look @ them on campus.

Well, Beautiful Mind was an okay movie. But 20 years from now, people will remember this as the movie that robbed LoTR of its Best Picture oscar.

Something like how Raging Bull got robbed in the past.

from what my friend told me, if the girls see him following them around, they just say hi to him. they're polite to him since they know who he is. as for freshmans, i don't know. they'd probably get freaked out.
