Did anyone hear HXM's been going through a very difficult period lately? It seemed he offended someone and the media had been generating negative news about everything associated with him, from his looks, height, romance with Angelababy, his series etc?

On Shanghai-based Dragon TV’s (东方卫视) Spring Festival program, actor Huang Xiaoming (黄晓明) was asked to present a pair of cotton shoes to an old cobbler, as his New Year gift.

The old man, in his 80s, is from Yushu, which was severely damaged during an earthquake in April 2010.

He said he has never worn this kind of shoes but often amended them for his customers.

The old man said he rarely watches TV and therefore did not recognize the young Xiaoming standing in front of him.

Xiaoming said with a smile, “It doesn’t matter whether you know me or not.”

Then he squatted down to put on elderly man’s shoes.

Numerous netizens said they were touched to see that Xiaoming does not have the attitude of a celebrity and was willing to get on his hands and knees for an old cobbler.
