And I didn't like the way Chen Kun's character crouched his back before Dong Jie's character at the beginning eps . Somehow I don't like Dong Jie and I didn't want Chen Kun pair up with her in JFSJ .

Lu Yi is quite cute but he isn't in my fav actors list . A pity your aunt doesn't know HXM . I think when Shen Diao is released , he might get more famous and your aunt might know him then ?
How can people mistaken JFSJ for HOng Lau Meng? Story is sooo different

Hoamai, you don't like Dong Jie (Dong Khiet)...How can you not like her? She is so cute. The person I don't like is Liu Yei Fei..don't know why I can't like that girl even when she not playing a brat

Okay let's get back to Huang Xiao Ming. I hope they are releasing Duong Ba Ho faster. It's like about a year already, I think ....this funny serie shouldn't be miss if your Jiao Zhu fan.

Chocolate, you've mistaken of what we meant. We were not saying that we thought JFSJ is Hong Lou Meng. What we meant was that it's the same "kind" as Hong Lou Meng. The same type of story. You know, stories surround the gossipping life style of the rich people and stuffs. That's also why Hoamai said people think it's like a modern Hong Lou Meng. I tried to read and watch Hong Lou Meng twice each before, but each time I only able to reach half way through and couldn't stand it anymore. To me it was soooo boring. I got the same feeling with JFSJ. That's why I didn't continue watching it.

As of Tang Buo Hu, I don't think they are planning to release it. Hopefully they will release it after Jiao Zhu got really famous after Shen Diao is released. That's only my hope though.

Chocolate, long time no see . About JFSJ , I think I don't need to say anything 'cause Chaule said all . Yeah , JFSJ has the same type of story with Hong Lou Meng . They all mentioned the well-known families with many idlers were ruined in the end . JFSJ mentioned Jin family and Hong Lou Meng mentioned Jia family , right ?

To compare the beauty , I think Liu Yei Fei is more beautiful than Dong Jie .

Oh, Tang Buo Hu isn't released in Vietnam ? I think it's not new , is it ? It was displayed on TV for one month ago on Truyen Hinh Can Tho . At first , I even thought that was the new ROCH !I don't know what made me think that( I didn't see it from the start as I didn't know it was displayed on TV) . But then I saw HXM's character look like a van sinh ( now I can't remember what this word is in English ) and Yang Guo wasn't a van sinh . Until another character called him Tang Buo Hu , I knew this was the series Chocolate mentioned before .

Really? Others also thought JFSJ like HLM? Haha, what a coincedence.

I also hope that my aunt will know and like him when TV station in VN show Shen Diao (if they ever do). Did VN's TV station show LOCH starring Chen A Peng? I know they did show Xiao Ao Jiang Hu. But my aunt didn't watch it though. When ever Shen Diao is shown in VN, would you please let me know so that I can urge her to see it?

By the way, did VN's TV station ever show any of Jiao Zhu's show? My guess is none, am I right?

Don't know if you read the news regarding the reunion of the his Beijing Film Academy class in the Vicki Zhao's thread? According to the news, 20 out of 23 students in the class attended the reunion held by a TV station. Aside from two already changed their career, only Chen Kun wasn't able to attend due to filming in the States. But he did call back and had a chat with them though. Their instructor also attended the reunion and as I said before, Jiao Zhu called her "Mama". They all also sang a song for her, lead by Zhao Wei.

Oh, Bian Cheng Xiao Zi is Bien Thanh Tieu Tu.

Chaule , I didn't see this post of yours before I posted mine . I thought after I posted mine yesterday , Chocolate was the first to post today . I should have read the thread carefully before posting .

Yes, it's a coincidence that somebody else has the same thought with you . I read that on a Vietnamese forum which has a topic about JFSJ .

Did you mean LOCH starring Li A Peng ? Yes, they showed it but I didn't like it much since I never like Li A Peng and it's very boring . The series with Li A Peng as lead actor are always boring to me . He isn't handsome and doesn't have any attraction to me but he always plays the leads in big and important series . Comparing two same series , one was made by TVB and the other was made by China , I think the former is always more interesting . But I hope the new ROCH with HXM will be different .

The HXM's shows that VN's TV station showed are HZGG3, Da Han I , Tang Buo Hu . That's all I know . It's my pleasure to inform you when Shen Diao is showed in Vn . I guess they will show it 'cause it's very famous .

Oh, the students are loyal and pious .

Oh, ofcourse. How can those new China remakes able to match TVB's 80s. The 80's were their golden years, their zenith years. So far I dare not hope Jiao Zhu's version can beat Andy Lau's but I hope his version can be the second best.

Oh, yeah? VN's TV station did showed three of Jiao Zhu's works? Were they on cable? I think if they were on normal TVs than my aunt should at least know them, wouldn't she. I don't know. As of Tang Buo Hu, what I hope is that they will release it over here. If they ever do, I'll also recommend it to another aunt of mine over here. She already seen Da Han I & II and already like Jiao Zhu very much. She's waiting for Long Piao. She wants to watch it very much per my recommendation. Unfortunately, I don't know whether they will release it here or not.

Oh, yes, I was so please to see they displayed such loyalty and respect to their instructor.

The version of Andy Lau with Tran Ngoc Lien ? I don't think it's the best . I like the ROCH'95 much more than that and I think the ROCH '95 is the best .

HXM's shows were displayed on normal TV .Da Han I has been showed many times on different TV's stations . And Tang Buo Hu will be displayed again on Binh Duong digital TV 's station . Good thing another aunt of yours is also HXM's fan .So you have a "comrade " .

Chocolate also lives in the U.S like you , does she ? She didn't watch Tang Buo Hu either .Then I guess all the Vietnamese on this board live abroad except me . At first I thought Chocolate lived in VN .

Oh, ok. So we have different opinions. That's still cool.

It did? Da Han I was showed many times? And Tang Buo Hu will be show again too? How cool!!! But on the other hand, it's still not that cool for I really hate the monologue translations of VN TV. It has been sooooo many years and they didn't change a bit. They're suck, suck, and suck.

Yes, Chocolate also lives in US. I don't know for sure if she able to see it or not. Probably not. So you're the only one living in VN. Do you feel special then?

As of Jiao Zhu's latest released work, Long Piao, I think only me and Lady Zhuge seen it. I don't remember if she bought it or not. As of me, I bought it the moment it was released at YesAsia and omg, it immediately became my favorite of his works. Before I got Long Piao, Da Han II was number one. But after I got Long Piao, DH II got reduced to number 2. I'm really hoping DH III won't disappoint me. I'm praying hard. But so far, the pictures look great.

I hate the monologue translations of vn tv , too . They sound boring and unreal . Only one voice of man or woman for everybody in the series . I feel funny when a man say but we hear a woman translating and vice versa .

i kinda feel special when i'm the only one living in VN .

You appear to overrate LOng Piao .I think it's very interesting , is it ? Of HXM's series I've watched, Da Han I is number one to me . I hope Da Han III will be successful but there is still a shadow of doubt about that .

What? There actually also a male voice? Huh, how come I never heard him? Strange. I just came back to VN for the second time in January of this year and I always only heard the female voice (which sound like the voice of the lady who had been doing the monologue from more than ten years ago, don't know if I'm correct or not).

I don't think I'm overating Long Piao. Probably it's my taste that is somewhat different from yours. You see, I like Da Han II better than I (eventhough I know that there are also many others would also prefer #I like you). You know, out of 4 people who I introduced to Da Han series, 3 of them like I better than II.

Ofcourse, eventhough the pics of Da Han III also look good, there's still this big shadow of doubt. That's why, to tell the truth, I'm even more eager about DH III more than Shen Diao (because of the precedence of the first two).

Oh Hoamai, another different views we have. Like Chaule, I thought the version of Andy Lau 83' was the best. I didn't like the version 95 with Louis Koo much though I think Louis Koo is a hottie . But as Chaule said, "So we have different opinions. That's still cool."

But I do agree with Hoamai that Li A Peng is a bored. I also can't find anything attractive about him. I never bother to watch his drama.

About JFSJ and HLM...okay, I understand what you gals meant.

I think nobody would like the monologue translations in VN. The man or woman who are talking have no feeling whatsoever. And I hated how only 1 person is doing all the dubbing. At least have a man AND a woman so we at least can tell which character are talking. I always wonder how can people endure it

Da Han I and HZGG3 were shown on my local tv back in 2004...Actually, Da Han I was the very first serie that introduce me to HXM. I remember commenting how handsome he look Later went crazy knowing he played Xiao Jian in HZGG3. Now, I hope they would show Tang Bo Hu too.

Chaule, you also from US. Where do you live? I live in the Oakland Bay Area.

Chaule, maybe you are right about that voice . There is a lady who has been doing that for more than ten years . Now on HTV, you almost can hear female voices . But "Amazing Story", the series with Yan Kuan , was translated by a man .

Chocolate, I'm not surprised you also like ROCH'83 . Many others like it,too.
I'm glad you don't like Li Ya Peng , either . Da Han I is the first series of HXM's I watched , too . I think he's handsome .
The monologue translations in VN is terrible . I can't bear it any more.

I don't know how people endured the monologue either (for example, my aunt). I can't. When I was in VN, I didn't even care to watch any of the show on TV.

Da Han I was also the first series that introduced me to Jiao Zhu. I also know it also introduced him to many others.

Oh yeah, you're in Oakland. I'm living in San Jose. I didn't know we're that close. Maybe we can meet?

    .
So only the series with Yan Kuan got translated by a man? How strange?

If you can't bear it anymore, then I think many others do too. Is it possible to write to the station and request hiring more people to do the dubbing?

Thanks Strawberry and Chaule for the warm welcome. And thanks Chaule and Hoamai for keeping this thread going. I always feel bad for other threads who got ignored and forgotten.

Oh, it's 1:54 a.m right now. And I'm having a difficult time thinking. Gotta go to bed. I'll write more when I have my beauty sleep

She said she's living in Oakland, California. Don't know if you know where Oakland is, but Oakland is just about 45 minutes away from where I live, San Jose.

That's what I noticed .! Nowadays , you hardly hear male voice translation on HTV . Yet I wasn't watching TV all the time so maybe there's another series translated by a man I didn't know.

Good idea, Chaule ! Btw, are you a girl? I think we're all girls but keep looking at your avatar and I can't imagine you're a girl though I knew the one in your avatar isn't you . It's Julian Cheung . Do you like him, too ?

I guess it would be very intresting when you and Chocolate meet one another .
