Jiao Zhu would look good with FBB, but I'd like to see him with Vicki Zhao, since they were best friends in Uni and both had a really high emotional sides. I'd like Zhao Wei to be his sister or best friend, but not as lovers in a show together.

Yes, I agree too. Weren't they and Chen Kun this something "trio"? I remembered reading how Vicki turned him down. Maybe things will change, and it's no fans' business to want or not want them to be together or not. Still, I wouldn't like to see them together as a couple. I'm just too much of an old AV fan. Oh sure, I think every one of Jiao Zhu's fan would love to see them both in the same show. No doubt about.
Hmm, geishas are a bit different from prostitutes. They sleep with their dannas, mostly powerful and influential men, and their secret lovers, but they don't sleep around with different people all the time. ZZY's character is a bit pathetic, unwise, but humane.

There's a character in the book, Nobu, whom I like immensely. He's always there for him, but Nitta Sayuri turned him down.

Yes. They were The Three Musketeers back then. I feel HXM and Vicki are very much alike in their characters. Probably that's why they wouldn't go well as lovers. Vicki's really vibrant. I'd love to see them as good friends as always.

Oh, ok. Thanks for your clarification. I didn't know that much about geishas.

Why did Nitta Sayuri turned Nobu down? What happend to her in the end? And him?

Nitta's 'in love' with Nobu's associate, Chairman of some very big Japanese electronics company. The Chairman gave Nitta some encouragement when she was trying to escape from being a geiko and that spurred Nitta to become the best geisha she can so that she can see the Chairman some day. Nitta thought that as love at first sight. Nobu's a very down-to-earth, brilliant and extraodinary character in the story, but he was also disfigured when he was trying to save a comrade in a war.

It was explained later that the Chairman is interested in Nitta at first, but when he saw Nobu giving Nitta a present, something Nobu had never done, he stepped aside for Nobu. But Nitta's always evasive with Nobu no matter how much he did for her. They were very compatible, but Nitta only had the Chairman in her heart. In the end, the Chairman became her danna.

If it is too slow, you can use a software named FlashGet to download the file using it's url. Here's the link to d/l the sofware.

Just finished Dai Han Tian Zi I. Wow. I just have to say that it's gotta be one of the best ancient series I've seen in a very long time. Great cast, great story, great music, and great everything. The plot might be loosely related from the real history, but it's series like this one that makes it...ok.

I actually cried when Cat Xa/Sa Nhan died. My favorite character is Ve Thanh. I though the princess Binh Duong Cong Chua's death was stupid. Ve Chi Phu/Tu Phu was also cool. She represents ideal conservative women from old Chinese time. That ****ty Quan Chua Luu Linh should've been tortured more. She's like Phan Kim Lien, if anybody knows what I'm talking about. Dong Phuong Soc is my second fav character. I take back everything I said about him before. He rocks. Alyssa was good as always.

Kinda odd. This is the second time I've watched HXM play an evil/conniving role, yet I still like him. lol. I didn't hate HXM's king one bit. Great acting from this guy. Him in black outfits.

So pissed that I can't see part 2. I've asked my friend who lent me her tapes, and she said there's none available. Bummer.

I also think that DHTZ1 was the best ancient series ever.
I don't think that the Han Wudi role which HXM played is evil/conniving.
Han Wudi was one of the most eminent monarch to rule China. He brought China to the height of its power in its time and was the first emperor who took military actions in dealing with the Huns. Emperor Wu was not only known as a great military commander and strategist, but also a lover of poetry and music as well. He is my favorite king. But just like other emperors, with so much powers in the hands and amidst the feudal autocracy of ancient chinese monarch, he was also a dictator and could be ruthless at times.
The series did not match one-to-one with history, but I don't think that Emperor Wu was portrayed as an iniquity king.

HXM's expose' for the Wudi was so moving. I fell in love with this actor eversince.

    I haven't watch DHTZ2 either. I should .. if I can find some times.

BTW, Li Nhi, your translation of the articles are excellent.

    Bests.

Thanks uchikake! Support from you and others have motivated me to continue with this newfound temporary "hobby." If I've misinterpreted the original posted article, then please excuse me. I've tried my best.

I've done 13 articles already, and the one about HXM being a "Hero" was my favorite. Count me in the Ming Jiao fan club.

Huang Xiao Ming: Slowly Getting the Taste of “ROCH”

Right now, every move and every step of ROCH’s filming progress is the main focus of the entertainment industry. Ever since the crew’s relocation to Nhan Dan Son and easy traffic access, the media has been hunting for breaking news, coverage, and behind-the-scenes footage. Recalling the time when ZJZ and VM were still concerned if HXM could portray his character, the Condor Hero-Yang Guo, at the end of the story well or not, after 2 months of cooperation, every single staff member was full of confidence. “When you work with HXM, you will realize that he has quite a few aspects similar to that of YG. You can even say that he’s not just acting out his character, but more like he’s being or expressing himself.” The crew used some of the incidents that HXM witnessed to retell how YG had returned to life from the story on/off the screen.

    The Hero is Courageous

In JY’s novel, YG’s witty tricks helped save many of his female friends such as Lu Wu Shuang and Huang Yan Ping. In real life, HXM has many aspects that resemble the Condor Hero. Not only did he help the crew rescue XLN-LYF when she fell down the dangerous waterfall at Cuu Trai Cau, but he also reenacted a “Hero Rescues Beauty” scene that was very touching at Nhan Dang Son.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b47/liti3691/d4e04359.jpg')

The crew was filming a scene underneath the waterfall at a tourist attraction site. Here, it is where the cliff at Loveless Valley / Jue Qing Valley will be shot; an extremely dangerous location. In order to reach the mountaintop, an escalator of about 68m high is necessary. Also, the crew must cross an unsafe dangling bridge that is nearly 340m long.

That afternoon while filming, despite December’s nice weather, the ice-freezing waterfall was cold enough to make one’s body shiver to the extreme. Guo Fu-Chen Sa Sa, who was already ill, had to soak in there for more than half a day. When the director called “Cut,” she had lost all strength, her face was very pale, and she was unable to move even a single muscle. Everyone was too busy packing suitcases and cleaning up the place to notice her. HXM had just finished changing his clothes. When he saw CSS lying flat on the chair, she was very pale and looked as if she was in some serious pain. Just when her assistant started panicking as to how to handle this situation, HXM did not even say a word, carried her on his back, and climbed straight down the mountain to the parking lot.

There were many tourists crowded around the mountain that day, Sunday, when it all happened. People were pushing and shoving; the place was chaotic. Many fans wanted to see the actors perform. Since the crew was very welcoming, the fans requested to have pictures taken and autographs signed by the stars. In order to surpass all those people and the dangerous path down under, it is impossible not to get a bit bruised and scraped somewhere on the body. HXM had carried CSS on his back over the vast sea of people, and had finally reached the parking lot below the mountain. “The entire ‘voyage’ was 3km long. Yet when he arrived down there, it was like nothing happened to him; he was fine. Perhaps the process of filming ROCH had motivated him to exercise and stay in shape. Usually when we’re done filming for the day, we can see him working out with his dumbbells. Because of this role, he has really tried hard. Not only does he have the courageous heart of a hero, but the strength and power as well.”

    The Hero’s Life is Tough

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b47/liti3691/c8526ee2.jpg')

It is possible to say that YG, under JY’s pen, encounters thousands of misfortune, torture, and misery. In the end, he is still this one-armed hero. Working in ROCH was tough for HXM. He leaves early in the morning, comes back late at night, and so he takes every chance he can get for a little shut-eye—which is rare. Each day, the filming process takes up three recording equipments, the constant running back and forth of places to shoot (for filming), mixing day and night with acting, and really no place to rest. These “toughies” awarded “Hero-YG’” HXM the title “God of War,” etc.

The crew laughed and said “HXM has put in a lot of effort to finish his ‘major [exit] requirements’ but there is still a dozen of other ‘additional homework assignments’ waiting for him. The ‘assignments’ have been assigned to him since ROCH started filming: there would always be this large number of ecstatic fans gathered around the set waiting for him everyday, asking for his autograph and to have pictures taken with him. No matter where he is, whether it’s the film set or right in front of the doorstep to his hotel room, HXM is always happy to sign autographs and have pictures taken. Whenever the staff would try to contain the large crowd, HXM would usually say ‘that’s ok, that’s ok, I’ll sign all of it; they’ve waited long enough already.’ Whenever he’d arrive back to the hotel, he would have to sign all of these case files brought by his assistant before washing off his makeup. HXM would joke about it sometime saying ‘Right now, I’m being a teacher who fixes and grades his students’ work everyday.' "

    The Hero is Happy

In JY’s novel, even though YG is all alone and endures all of life’s hardships, the love of XLN and the care of GJ-HR, nonetheless, have made him very happy. HXM is also feeling that same kind of joy. HXM Fan Clubs and his friends come and visit him very often. Once, his mother even came in person to take great care of him. He is always surrounded by the love of his friends and family.

The series just started filming for 2 months, but a HXM fan club called “Jiao Zhu” had came and visited the film set three times already. Each visit, they brought various gifts and presents from various places across the country. They even organized a party to celebrate his birthday, and provided him with his very own escort. When Christmas came, fans from different places around Mainland China united at Xiang Yang, wishing him a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The entire crew of ROCH claims that his fans are very sweet. Even the assistant director and light-effects specialist competed with each other for the title of “Vice Jiao Zhu,” just so they can join in with HXM’s experience with being loved and admired by dozens of these fans.

As of now, we do not know if HXM can successfully portray the new Condor Hero or not. Time will tell. Nonetheless, we cannot deny the fact these true incidents including many more have made us even more anxious to see him in the new “Return of the Condor Heroes.”

Yes, your "Hero" article made me love him even more.

HXM is an actor with such great gallantry and sagacity! As per news from his website, he also has high respects for education. HXM and several other actors just took an examination in October to enter the MFA (master of fine arts) program. HXM explained that it was his and his parents dream for him to attain graduate level or even doctorate level in study. And while others may think that experience does it all, HXM said that he believes education serves an important foundation for any profession including acting.

    I just love this guy

You welcome, nefertari. I fell more in love with JZ too while reading that article myself (in Vietnamese). I'm very happy to hear people's positive reactions to it as well as to JZ. He truly is a hero.

Li Nhi, glad you love the series. In my opinion, Liu Ling eventhough she was like Pan Jin Lian, yet at least she has more gut, ambitious, pride, and more honorable than Pan Jin Lian.

What do you mean by saying this is the second time you seen Jiao Zhu play evil/conniving role? May I ask what made you think so. Where do you see him evil and conniving?
