CHAULE, STRAWBERRY, and rest of Jiao Zhu's fans......great to talk to you all once again. MY FINALS ARE DONE....I'm so happy.....I'm so free......AHHHHH!!!!

Ahem, so how are you all doing? Chaule, I'll write to you asap. Jiao Zhu as Chu Liu Xiang?? This, I have to see. My quick thoughts on him as YG: I loved everything about his acting except that hideous terrifying laugh he did near the beginning of the series. Other than that, all the mature, serious, fighting and romantic scenes were awesome.

What?? Li Nhi, your exams are over?

Mine are in one month's time and I just had a difficult quiz last Fri. Great relief after the quiz!

Thanks chaule for the clarification about the general. The role suits him..... he's a warrior in real life.

i agree with you and strawberry that he should do his dubbing. I haven't watched the show ROCH, but I think he's got a good voice.

hi tennisrocks, sorry for the late reply. i'm tied up to my ears with quizzes, assignments and making time for people i love. studying is taken on an intense front. still that is not an excuse to procrastinate reply to such a lovely person as yourself.

actually, i feel not enough good things happen to Jiao Zhu. He deserves the best in the world and i hope everything good happen to him. He should have everything. He's such a great person inside, is always humble, positive and grateful. It must be difficult for him to find a match.

Congrats! I still have two more to go and yet instead of cramming for them, I'm procrastinating on here.

But anyway, I just wanted to pop in here and mention that Huang Xiao Ming was one of the thespians invited to star in a Mainland adaptation of "Bai Se Ju Ta" (The White Tower). Given his busy schedule, I guess he wouldn't have time to accept.

Thespian means an actor or actress. I learned this word from her.

Lady Zhuge, thanks for the information. Was Bai Se Ju Ta a very famous show? I haven't seen it so I don't know the story. Just assume for a moment that Jiao Zhu will take on that show, what role do you think fit him?

Yes, Jiao Zhu is a warrior in real life too. I think Jiao Zhu is very much alike Andy Lau in that aspect. At the beginning of his singing career, a lot of people said he couldn't sing and should just stick to acting but Andy refused to give up. The more people put him down, the harder he worked and he success in the end. So I absolutely support him with his serious working attitude.

Thanks Chaule for the explanation given.

Bai Se Ju Ta or otherwise known as the the Great white Tower is actually a Japanese serial that was an anniversary serial of one of the TV stations in Japan. Its based on a novel I think. A very serious and well-made medical drama that throws up interest and discussion on medical ethics. The 2 leading actors were Jiang Kou Yang Jie and I think Tang Ze Shou Ming. There's a review of this serial at this forum, check it out under Jap serials. I see Huang Xiao Ming more in the 'villain' role, aka the associate professor who's more ambitious and for personal glory but it would be interesting too to see him tackle the role of the equally brilliant but more down-to-earth surgeon too.

WHAT!!! Nefertari? You haven't watched ROCH yet? Holy, you must really be swamped with your exams and stuff.

Anyway, a good advice from Liu Yi Fei (based on her personal experience) is to not do an all-nighter when watching this show. She got a set of ROCH and watched it straight, non-stop over a day and a half. She said towards the end her eyes were so tired and she was seeing black spots and thus couldn't focus on what was happening in the show! ha ha. she's funny.

I got back to watching HXM's earlier serial, Shao Nian Tang Bo Hu now after ROCH. Though the former is not a big production at all as compared to ROCH06 but as far as continuation of story and entertainment value goes, its superior to ROCH06 in my opinion. And the biggest difference bet the 2 productions is that I feel genuinely touched by Bo Hu's love for Qiu Xiang as compared to that great love that was was supposed to exist bet Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nu which to me, regretably simply did not come through.

There were so many times in Tang Bo Hu that I could feel that Bo Hu was deeply in love with Qiu Xiang. So as far as love story goes, this is definitley one of my favourite HXM serial so far. Though HXM is not all tan and buffed in Tang Bo Hu, I like his character here and I love his bantering with his second young master, who incidentally is the actor who played Lu Qing Du in ROCH06 and is one of my favourite supporting actors from China.

I've been meaning to watch Tang Bo Hu in a long time but never quite got around to it. I guess it was never quite that high on my list since I'm not sure how good the series is. It'll be on my list to get during my trip to Hong Kong in 3 weeks! Hopefully, I can find a cheap price on it, otherwise I'll just get it from tigercool.

**hey chaule, check your private box.

    Hi Tennisrocks,

I am not sure if you would feel the same way as I do about tang Bo Hu since we obviously feel differently about the chemistry thingy bet HXM and LYF in ROCH06 but I hope you like this serial as I do. btw, I am not sure if you can get it in Hong Kong though, because I did not see it when I was in Hong Kong around the time when China was screening tang Bo hu, may have to get your copy through internet purchase. btw, u ahve seen Da Han Tian Zi right? Tang Bo Hu was the first serial that I saw of HXM and felt he was really good, for some reason, his acting was more natural during that period.

I wish there was a DVD version of Tang Bo Hu available for sale, VCD quality is just not as good..sigh.

I would not say that it was a wise choice he made to dub his voice in ROCH06 because it did not come across very well but...I certainly applaud his efforts and professionalism in wanting to do a complete portrayal of YG.

I think he's got a really nice voice too but its advisable that he takes some professional lessons in dubbing before he attempts it for a big production again. He really needs to work on the dubbing for conveying of emotions, such as screams and laughter, I only realize thru watching him that its so difficult to be a professional dubber.

    Chaule,

I got my own copy of Ming liang de xin now. its a meaningful movie but there are parts of it i did not quite understand. I forgot, was Tang Bo Hu after Da Han 2? I am sure you had told me before but I am not sure in which post...what year was Da han 1, Tang Bo Hu and Da Han 2 filmed in? Thanks so much in advance. btw, i don't think there is a DVD version of Da Han 1 right?

Btw, for some reason, with ROCH finally out, I kind of seemed to have lost some aim at this forum. I have made lots of good friends here and though we can still discuss others topics but because i first became active in this forum because of ROCH 06 (when casting was done), now that the serial is out, just feels that the main goal is gone, feels unnatural. Hope there will be some good serials coming up soon that would also importantly, live up to expectations also or if not, at least there will be more good serials being churned out esp by HXM

Hey there, Nefertari. Yes, my finals are over. I'm starting my summer classes next Monday. I hope your quiz went well!!!

Let me tell you, HXM's voice is very manly and sexy. Critics find that a problem especially when he's acting out the young Yang Guo. That hideous "ha ha ha ha ha ha" laugh pretty much gets to all of us. BUT....as the mature, serious, solemn and romantic YG, oh my. His singing in Shuang Fei was also pretty good.

Thanks, Lady Zhuge. Congrats to you too! I'm sure you're done with yours by now. If not, good luck. Thank you for your news about Jiao Zhu being invited to star in The White Tower. BTW, I, too, am procrastinating this instant. lol, I should be reading over my textbook before going to class next Monday. Organic Chemistry,

sorry, off-topic.....Have any of you any seen this animation 'graveyard of the fireflies'. Its the saddest animation movie i have ever seen...that picture of the little sister wearing the dented metal bowl and her dad's army shoes and playing and pretending to be a soldier in the war was so heart-wrenching, but you must watch the movie to know what I am talking about.
