Hi cherrie!!! Hmm, that series doesn't seem all that interesting then. So, it's not worth watching, right? Benny's age is really showing??? Gosh, it's been such a long time since I've seen him in a series. The most recent series I saw him in was Vigilante Force and he still looked pretty young for his age.

SaraCrystalWater, I don't really have much news on Leila and Benny. All I have heard is that they will be working on a series together, I'm not sure who else stars in it or what the series is about though.

I've started rewatching the first few episodes of DGSD 96. I miss TVB series like DGSD, seems like they don't make them like that anymore. Nowadays they don't seem as interesting and exciting. The only downside about the series is that it is so low budget. I'v never noticed how the set look so unrealistic and their hair and makeup was kind of badly done. Oh, and the BGM gets really annoying after awhile. Gosh, it's like when you watch a series a second time you start noticing all these flaws.

Oh, the thread is alive and active!! YAY!!! Its great that more conversation is going on. Oh, I love the fact that Benny thread is going!!! hehe, I love Benny!!

Hehe, guess what botan? I finished watching Demon of the Lute a few days ago. Towards the middle onwards the serie dropped. It was still interesting to me though and I was still quite addicted. Lol, I really enjoyed watching Benny in here however. He protrayed his role out terrifically. He is not my favorite character, but he does claim the spot as my favorite couple. His pairing was with actress Yumiko. I'm not sure of her last name. However the two look really nice together.

Benny looks very very young in here. He has quite a range of emotional scenes in the serie that shows his talent. I espically like those of his with Yumiko. Espically when he realizes that she might die and how much he loves her Besides Benny and Yumiko, I wasn't too fond of any other relationships.

So you got those series from your mom cherrie? Was it from her trip to HK again? Anyways thats great!!! I am espically excited over Reaching Out!!! hehe, when are you going to get started? Hurry hurry!!! You'll enjoy it, I definately hope you do. Benny is such eye candy, hehe

Only watched a episode or so of Hi-Fly eh cherrie? I just realized that my store has released the series out. I am going to rent it tomorrow. I'm excited to see Benny again. I do hope his series continue to come out like such, lol. Oh, so he looks a bit old in there? From the poster though he still looks quite young. I blame it on the makeup artists and such if this is true!!!

He looked old and chubby in Hi-Fly?!?!?! Must be really bad make up then. I did see a poster of that series awhile back and didn't think he looked chubby and old but guess that was just the poster. When was that series first released?

Goddess, I did get a chance to watch part of Six Fingers, the part where Nicky Wu was about to marry some girl and then she told him that the person that he loved (I don't know her name or the character's name) was poisened by her father and that he should save her. I found it a bit boring, especially the scenes with Nicky, so decided not to watch the whole thing. I did hear that the beginning was really interesting and like you said, the series starts to drag after that. I thought Benny looked really good in the series, still very young looking, but I still don't like his hair. From the few scenes I saw of Benny, I thought his performance was pretty good. I agree, Yumiko and him looked pretty compatible. So who was your favorite character in the series?

Yup, Benny was really cute in DGSD. I really miss seeing him in series. Seems like the Taiwan series he's been starring in aren't that interesting. Don't worry I haven't forgotten all the good things in DGSD . It is still a very enjoyable series with wonderful performances from most of the cast.

Hi cherrie ! I agree, his Taiwan series aren't that great. I kind of want him to return to TVB but kind of don't. If he returns to TVB, I'm afraid that he wouldn't be appreciated. They will either type cast him in those scholar roles and mythical type series or let him play supporting roles in modern series. But with Mainland and Taiwan, he's been playing a variety of roles and is actually the lead.

hehe, does it mean that in taiwan there aren't many good actors that's why they often cast hk actors as their leads? j/k
i sure hope he wouldn't be cast in mythical roles anymore! honestly i don't like mythical films with crappy monster costumes. (gosh i remember once again the orange cow in gods of honour )

Same here, I'm sick of those mythical series with overdone effects and fake looking monsters and demons. Oh yeah, I forgot about that silly looking orange cow . Oh, and that lizard in "Whatever it Takes" .

Well, if Benny does return to TVB, I'd like to see him in a modern series where he's actually the lead for once. Hopefully TVB won't limit him so much like they did in the past.

Hi hi botan!!!! Agreed, Nicky's scenes and character wasn't good. I have to say that this is probably his worst character I have seen and worse serie. His character really was plainly boring. There was nothing really appealing to it for me. Oh and that actress is Ning Jing. The one that Nicky loves that got poisoned. I didn't like her character either. Plus I don't think she and Nicky were compatiable.

Hehe, Benny and Yumiko, so cute ^__^ Benny does look really young in here. I didn't quite mind his hairstyle. It reminded me a bit of his hairstyle in Whatever it Takes. Anyways its a shame that you didn't get to see more between Benny and Yumiko. Their story is such a sweet and sour kind.

As for my favorite character, hehe. I don't know the name of the actor that protrays him, but his character in the serie was the one that could not speak. I can't remember his character name, but he was the son of the Ghost Palace. Well one of them, the good one though. I am still curious to know what happened to him in the end. Hehe, Benny wins second place though

Same here. I have the same thoughts as you botan. I would love for him to return back with TVB, but that fear of him being neglected like many other talented artists there. Also him being stereotyped to a specific role is definate. Taiwan and mainland is really giving him larger chances at acting and he is getting a range of roles that is testing his acting. I wouldn't mind him continuing his career over there as long as the series are being released out in viet and all

Anyways onto Hi-Fly. I have rented up to tape 8, but only got a chance to watch 2 tapes. However so far its pretty interesting. Only thing that annoyed me a lot was the character of Tina. I just find her annoying, espically when she was interferring with Benny and his sister's conversation. Besides that though, she isn't bad.

Onto Benny though. I have to say that so far in the 2 tapes I dont' think Benny looks that old or chubby. Lol, or maybe I'm just immune to thinking he looks old at all That could be a big possibility. However I'll see once I get furthur. Oh oh oh, Benny looks so adorable in a pilot uniform!!!!!!!

DOMD was alright, it's one of TVBs better remakes. I really enjoyed the supporting cast, they were really hilarious. Didn't quite like Jordan Chan as the lead though. I can't really remember much about Steven. Steven and Jordan didn't have that same "friendship" chemistry like Andy Lau and Tony Leung had in the 80s version. But do give the series a try cherrie, it's still worth watching. They haven't released the series on VCD yet? I thought they have already.

Hmm, I think Benny is the only HK actor in Hi-fly. I don't recognize anyone else on the poster. What is the series about anyways and what is Benny's character like?

I just came across a news article about Kenix Kwok and it stated that she will be filming a series with Bobby Au Yeung, Benny Chan, and Tavia Yeung. So does that mean Benny has returned to TVB?

Kenix Kwok was filming for "Revolving Doors of Vengeance" on location at the 'Yucca De Lac' restaurant in Shatin with Joe Ma and John Chiang earlier and she says that when she was a child, her father would bring her here to eat and this left her with many happy memories: "At the time, I liked to have my photo taken beside the lake and coming here to film after so many years gives a very special feeling." In March, Kenix will begin filming a new series with Bobby Au Yeung, where she plays an intelligent and argumentative role. She says: "The feeling will be very much like that of Anita Mui in the film 'Justice, My Foot' and I have been watching videos of her performance to learn from her acting. The show will also include Tavia Yeung and Benny Chan, so it will be like a crossover between 'Shine on You' and 'Vigilante Force'."
