Hi guys!!! So many replies since the last time I visited.

Thanks for wishing me luck on my exams! I have two more to go, I thought I'd take a break from studying and drop in to say hi. So lucky goddess that you get two months of vacation.

Thanks for the news Arashi ! Sounds really pathetic that Charmaine wants more news on herself. Like she's desperate for attention or something . Network Love Story is still airing? How many episodes does it have left, it seems so long?

I'm currently watching DGSD 03, don't really like the series too much but I'm only watching it for Jimmy Lin. Watching it makes me miss the 97 version, especially Benny's Duan Yu. I like Jimmy as Duan Yu but also like Benny's portrayal of the character too. Benny made the character so funny and had this huggableness about him . I definately have to rewatch the 97 version sometime again. It's been so long since I've seen him in a series that I can't even recall what he looks like.

I've only seen the first 4 tapes to TLBB03 and I didn't like it. Don't think I will continue on. I adore Jimmy Lin also, but really can't keep me going. One scene I was really looking forward to though would be the funeral scene. It looks very dramatic and Jimmy looks quite dashing in it for some reason, hehe. Do you know which tape that appeared in? Maybe I'll just rent that one, hehe.

Anyways I have the 96 version of DGSD and I just love it!!! Havn'et watched it in a long time though, must go pull it out. Benny is adorable!!! Hehe, he does really make you want to hug him, but then at other times just smack him on the head, lol

Yay, I'm officially on my one week vacation! I know what you mean about science classes godess. I had a biology exam and I'm not sure how I did.

I haven't watched up to the funeral part yet. I don't like the 03 version either. I'm only watching it because I have nothing else to watch and because of Jimmy. Good thing my sister lent it to me so it's free otherwise I wouldn't bother watching it. I don't like how they portray the story, kind of disturbing and violent. And it's too confusing and choppy yet so long winded. Most of the time I don't even understand what's going on. I also don't like the actor that played Qiao Feng, I prefer Felix Wong.

LOL, that too. I forgot how Benny also makes you want to smack him on the head .

Hehe, enjoy the week off botan!!!! Hehe, I'm sure you did fine. Gosh, Science really is one of my worst subjects. Well I get good marks in it, its just I don't understand it well, lol.

I just finished watching tapes 1 to 4 and I'm not going to continue however. Don't want to waste money. Hehe, if someone else rented itand lent it to me then I would watch just for Jimmy. I really do find Mu Wan Qing to be very cute. The actress who plays her is cute. Don't like Wan Yu Yan at all though, the actress looks very plain... I don't like the format of the serie. It makes me feel like I'm watching more of a long movie instead

Just love Benny as Duan Yu!!! So far Jimmy still can't beat my Benny. There just isn't that feeling of smack on the head with Jimmy, hehe.

Hey guys!!! It definately has been quiet in this thread. Haven't heard much news on Benny, I wonder what he's up to.

Thanks goddess but I didn't really enjoy my week off. It was so boring. I was planning to rent a bunch of series to watch but when I got to the rental store nothing looked interesting. I ended up renting a so-so series and a couple that I didn't like. Oh well, I will just have to wait until August and see if there are any good new releases.

Good thing you didn't continue DGSD 03. A series definately not worth watching. A very waste of time. I don't know why I watched it in the first place . I agree about MWQ but I didn't like how they did her hair with the bangs. I think she would look prettier if they swept up her bangs. I also like Bondy as MWQ too. The actress that played WYY was okay but she looked way too young so she didn't really fit the character. I didn't like how she portrayed WYY to be clingy and a bit whimpy. And I agree she did look a bit plain, not goddess looking like the character is suppose to look like. I definately prefer Carmen Lee more, actually I prefer the cast and everything about the 97 version better.

I can't decide between Benny and Jimmy as DY. I thought both portrayed and fit the character well. They both have their own interpretation. So it is difficult to compare the too.

I hate the part in the well where WYY falls for DY. They didn't change it in the 03 version. I don't like it how she falls for him so fast, it almost seems like a rebound.

Hehe, my memory of the 4 tapes to TLBB has faded now. Hmmmm....MWQ having her bangs swept up? I think it would have made her look cute too, but I didn't mind her bangs that much. Even though I only saw a little of WYY, she really didn't have that gorgeous goddess look to her. Carmen was able to pull that off though since she has the mature elegant look. This WYY however had more of a plain kiddish look...

Okay one thing that annoyed me while watching the four tapes to TLBB was when Duang Yu and MWQ was trapped together and had taken that potion thingy. Anyways....they were trapped in a house for peats sakes!!! the 97 version at least made them in a cave where it was hard to escape from. But a house? What is this, a non destructable house? I just don't like that idea...

I'm watching a few series recently. I've been mostly re-renting series since nothing really pulls my interst lately. Just re-rented MDWAV and Treasure Venture a few days ago. More recent releases that I'm watching would be Hard Fate, Mama I Love You, Modern Virtues of Harmony, and yeah thats about it I think. What about you guys?

I thought I was the only one who likes Benny Chan..LOL...
I love him ever since I've seen DGSD 96'.(still can't get enough of that series)
So then i rented 03' version hoping that it would be as good as 96' version, and I hate myself for renting it!! It was a shocker..LoL...I watched 11 tapes out of 13,in one day, coz I kept on fast forwardin' the tapes, hehe
I haven't seen the 'WELL' part yet, but I don't fink I can't handle it, coz all of my fav scene has been really disappionting so far..and the actors..OMG!!No comment..
Only one good thing about the movie is Jimmy Lin he's so cute, but Benny is better as DY...all the way..hehe.

Hopefully when he releases more series there will be more talk on him. Yup, my favorite series of his was DGSD 96 too. Yeah, I have to agree about Jimmy being the only good thing about the 03 version. LOL, I hate myself for watching the 03 version, such a waste of my time and ended up giving me a big headache.

Hi goddess!!! I watched the first few tapes of Blade Heart, The Driving Power, and The Spoony (I think that's what the series is called, the Dagger Lee story with Vincent Jiao) and they were all so boring, don't think I will be finishing them. The only series that I actually finished was The Ching Emperor. It was okay. This was the second time I watched it and it was more boring than I remembered. I only watched it for Julian Cheung and Vivian Leung, they had some really sweet scenes together. I wanted to discuss a little about it in the Julian thread since that thread is very unactive too but it looks like all of his fans have mysteriously disappeared too.

I don't know why but the bangs on the side bothered me on MWQ. Later on in the series she dresses up like a man with no bangs, I thought she looked better. I thought the actress that played WYY was pretty but lacked that goddess look that Carmen had. The actress would fit princess roles like the princess in A Step Into the Past or a daughter of a wealthy family more than roles like WYY.

LOL, I didn't think about the house part. You're right, they could have easily escaped from the house. The cave makes more sense. That series just plain had a lot of flaws and loopholes and a lot of silly scenes.

I'm currently not watching anything. What is MDWAV? Is Hard Fate and Mama I Love You interesting? I havne't heard of Treasure Venture either, who stars in it?

Wasn't the ending of DGSD 03 awful, well the whole series was awful. I found it so annoying how the series ended so abruptly and then dragged Qiao Feng's death for so long. They could have used the screen time to elaborate on the ending more instead of wasting the time on unnecessary draggy scenes.

Yeah, I agree. Most of the younger actresses in the series were all very pretty. They are better looking then the actresses nowadays with TVB and they can act. Yeah, I know what you mean about the supporting actors in this series. They were all so old and the ladies were so young. Wasn't it strange how DY's mother was so young looking. She looked almost as young as Jimmy. And then his father was very old.

You should give Gods of Honour a try. I thought it was okay and there were some funny parts and also touching parts. A must see for all Benny fans.

Was it just me or did Jiu Mo Zhi just walk off the 'WELL' scene? And the WeLL wasn't that deep,they can boost eachother to get out.
After watchin' DGSD 03', I have to go back and watch 96' version to released my anger..hehe. And watch Benny over and over again..

Hey MizChi!!! The WELL scene was another big loophole in the series. Yup, Jiu Mo Zhi somehow just walked off somewhere in the well and disappeared. And then somehow both DY and WYY escaped from the well. Did they somehow fly up or did someone save them? Or did this stuff all happen off screen or either that I must of missed something there?

Yeah, I definately want to rewatch the 96 version over again. Watching the 03 one made me miss the 96 one. The 96 was so much better.

hie,yea,gods of honour was great,too bad his mum died(sap leung)but it doesn't matter coz they met at heaven anyway.anyway,there's a show i saw in which benny was acting,too bad i din hap the chance to watch it,but i saw some of the episodes n there was this episode i saw where benny looks real cute.he wore a pair of jeans which is a little torn,a long sleeves shirt which is not tucked into his jeans and a black coat on the outside of his shirt which was not buttoned(if you can imagine how he looks like couse i'm not good at describing),oh my gosh he look soooooooooo cute n adorable.

MDWAV is My Date with a Vampire starring Eric Wan, Joey Meng, Kristy Yeung, Kenneth Chan, and etc. A ATV serie which I think was made in 97 or something. As for Treasure Venture, that is a Taiwanese production and its not recent. Probably 5 yrs old or something by now? Well it stars Nicky Wu, Vicki Zhao, and etc

At first I was quite addicted to Hard Fate, but now its quite boring me. I got like 10 tapes to watch, but haven't gotten started yet, hehe. I quite enjoy Mama, I Love You; but thats just me. It does drag quite a bit during some time, but overall its pretty good.

im now watching gods of honour, and yeah i agree, benny is really cute in general's outfit gosh, i have seen only in the clip when he's riding the horse and im already.... whenever he walks like a robot, i burst out laughing he's like a dummy! very cute, though i prefer if his hairstyle was not tied he looks gay and to think that he had red ribbons! but anyways, still cute
