i like Palm Ru Lai that's why i bought the series. But don't know, when i rewatched it again, Athena's character become really annoying. But i like Ni Shi Huan the most. I think i like to see Julian more in ancient series than drama.

And for TMWFI, i like it too but in my opinion, there's no really 'chemistiry" happened between two.

His real girlfriend is Anita Yuen (former MHK). She used to act with TVB but now she is acting more in Taiwan and Mainland. I think they both matched each other. By the way, they have been dating for 15 or 10 years (can't remember) already!

Julian and Anita have been dating for about 13 years now.

I agree that Julian and Charmaine don't really match ('cause I personally think Julian is WAY better looking than Charmaine), but I do like Julian and Athena or Gigi together.

I agree with you guys. I think Julian and Anita match very well, a very cute couple. I didn't know Anita used to act in TVB series, I don't recall seeing her in any.

Hi there Lady Zhuge! Long time no see. How was your trip to Shanghai? I agree with you about Julian and Charmaine. Haven't seen Shades of Truth yet so no comment on him and Gigi but I do think he matches well with Athena too.

Hi Botan! Anita acted with TVB in the early 90s between 93 to 95 only. So far I've not watch any of her series with TVB but I may rent it later. I saw her series in the video store.

Hi there bubcas!!! Oh, she only acted with them for two years. I don't think I've ever seen a series with her in it. When you do get the chance to watch her series do let me know how it is.

Hiya botan! I'm actually still in Shanghai right now and will be for about another 3 weeks. I'm still getting used to the masses of people and the horrific traffic, but overall it's been nice. This place is a series haven whether you turn on the TV or walk around the city. For instance, Palm of Rulai has been playing on a couple of different channels. How have you been lately?

Hi there Lady Zhuge! Oh, you are still in Shanghai. I can imagine how crowded and busy that city can be. It's nice though to just get away and travel somewhere. I so envy you. Sounds really fun with all the tv series everywhere you go. I think I would love it there with all the series, hehe. So, you've been watching Palm of Rulai? How do you like it so far? I've been okay, just busy with summer classes.

Yeah, I'm having a good time here. It's been fun meeting people from different parts of the world and trying new things that I've never had a chance to try before. However, I envy some of my friends who've completed summer classes and will therefore have a much lighter load this upcoming school year. You're working hard now, but it will pay off in the long run. It's impossible to have the best of both worlds I suppose.

I've (off and on) seen a few episodes of Palm of Rulai because my schedule here is pretty hectic and sometimes unpredictable. Even though there are a ton of series playing here, I have yet to see a complete one, just fragments of some here and there depending on when I have free time to myself.

Yeah, I gues it is impossible to have the best of both worlds.

Meeting new people and experiencing novel things is very fun, that's what I love so much about travelling. Shanghai sounds very exciting, seems like there is a lot to do and see. Hopefully, I will get the chance to travel there sometime soon.

Hello everybody, I'm new to this thread. Just finished watching Shades of Truth and I'm in love with Julian all over again. He's so hilarious and excellent in there and cute to boot, and so is Wong Hei. Now I am looking around for more of Julian's serials. I've got Palm of Rulai and Flying Dagger but only watched a few episodes of each serial. To me, Flying Dagger was such a drag and I got bored with watching Ruby Lin trying to act as a cold-blooded killer but failing to impress. Palm of Rulai is somewhat better but somehow I just couldn't drum up enough interest to continue. So can anyone please tell me which of these two serials is worth sweeping the dust off the covers to continue watching?

Also, after reading so much about Cold Blood, Warm Heart, I think I might just be tempted to rent this serial, although at 65 episodes long, I wonder if I have the patience to see it through. Not only that, I am no fan of Gallen Lo (absolutely no interest in his shows), so is the Julian power in there strong enough to pull me in?? Opinions, anyone? Tks.

Definitely watch CBWH. It's a TVB classic and Julian has a good amount of screentime in it.

Tks, Lady Zhuge. I think I'll rent the first few episodes for a start. But from some pics of this serial I've seen, Julian definitely looked hot and manly in there. Perhaps if I just concentrate on him, I might get past seeing Gallen Lo and not mind that he's in there as well. And oh, any other recommendations of Julian's old shows? I've watched most of his newer ones already.
