Do you know where we can watch that episode of KXLL from 04? I'm interested in getting the whole story. Yea, I read in wikipedia that they went out from 1995 (School Days) to 1997 (filming of HZGG) and the reason for the breakup was the Alec stuff. I guess it was hard on both of them. But wasn't Jimmy in the army around that time too? Hmmm, maybe it was easier for him out of the limelight to spend time with her then. I wonder how true the Alec stuff is, cuz now her and Alec are like super best friends. Musta also been awkward to film LS1 since Alec did that after HZGG so all that stuff was going on. Jimmy and Alec seem to get along though. Oh, I read before that Alec admitted to liking Vicki though, so the Ruby stuff doesn't make sense unless it was all rumours or Alec was hitting on both of them. anyways, I'm just thinking in type. hehe

I want to watch that epidosode too. Any ideas?

alec's stuff doesn't work in ruby and jimmy's relationship. I never heard alec and ruby have item at that time...alec admitted he likes vicki a bit at that time.
I don't think reason for the breakup was the alec.

in KYDG show in 2006, jimmy said like this

ruby also said similar answer in 2004 Kang Xi Lai Le. alec and ruby rumor started around 2000 when they filming QSSYMM as a couple.
Alec's stuff doesn't make sense...i think it just a rumor. Both of double Lin just young at that times. If they are broke up with alec's stuff i think they can't remain as a friends. it's serious matter, i don't think alec's stuff is true.

It's really good, it's the modern series that got me back into appreciating TW modern series. (funny, light-hearted non-tragic show) And Ariel Lin is great actress (beware, her character can be annoying but you still end up loving her). She seems to have a great personality off screen too. And Joe's a pretty good actor, I really respect the guy. He's the first long-hair actor that I actually like. hehe. Anyway, I'm going to buy the series now since I loved it so much.

SO back to Jimmy, this production company that is doing it, what other series have they done that there were rumors going on about it and stuff? I'm interested in knowing!

Jimmy Lin and Liu He Na are the male and female leads of San Lap's new idol series
"Fang Yang De Xing Xing". This is Jimmy's first idol series in his 15 years in the industry.
He won't have to wear a wig, but he has to worry about whether to dye his hair and pierce
his ears. This will also be his first series with love-making scenes.

Jimmy said that he had meetings with the producer Chen Yu San for several weeks about whether
he should pierce his ears. They already decided on it and even found a store to do it.
However, Father Lin was very concerned. He even went to see a fortune teller and was told that
ear-piercing is bad for Jimmy's future. Jimmy followed his father's advise and changed to
magnetic earrings. His ears would turn red after wearing them for a scene. He laughed, "My father
really believes in this. When I first started out, the red t-shirt was the fortune teller's
idea."

Jimmy turned down Liao Zhai 2 and another ancient series to be in Fang Yang De Xing Xing. At
his price of RMB90,000 per episode he is losing over RMB10M. But Jimmy doesn't mind because the
character is a super car racer. That's what's attractive to him. He will also have a lot of
emotional scenes. He showed off some car-overturning skills during screen testing. The producer was
impressed. Jimmy wondered what is so great about filming car overturning. He has 2
similar incidents this year.

This is his first working relationship with the Korean actress Liu He Na. The most difficult part
is that he has no idea what she is saying. He doesn't know when she actually stops talking.
They came out with the idea that the interrupter will act too so he will know when to pick up.

Jimmy and Liu He Na will have a love-making scene. It is sexy but not over-the-top.
Chen Yu San said, "San Lap's policy is no loving-making scenes in its idol series. I was
warned by my manager. But I want to turn Jimmy into a mature 26 yr old playboy. The type who
will go to bed with a woman after 3 dates. Without love-making scenes it is not too realistic
for a mature man."

story about a rich son who gives up his family business to become a car racer and his love story with a jewelry counterfeiter. The female lead is the Korean actress Liu He Na. She learned Chinese for this series. During the press conferenec she talked to Jimmy in Chinese.

There are a lot of racing scenes in the series that Jimmy will be doing himself. He said, "Filming is easier than racing. When filiming you can repeat a scene as many times as you want, unlike in racing. In real races, when you fall in a ditch it is over. I am not concerned about these scenes. I am a pro. I will provide all the cars for filming." Jimmy impressed the director by rounding a curve on a slippery road in the rain. This series will air in March and it will definitely create an idol series wave.

Thanks a lot for the link, ellledubs. I'm downloading one of the episodes right now. So is it pretty high quality? The torrent i was downloading is high quality but it definitely takes a while. Not enough seeders.

I'm definitely more into ancient series than modern ones but for some reason, this particular series caught my attention. And it apparently didn't take much either. But we'll see when i'll get around to watching ISWAK. Here's hoping. Oh, and speaking of Joe, i notice that people are half and half on this subject, but some of Joe's facial expressions really remind me of Edison Chen.

And speaking of modern series, it's refreshing that Jimmy will be in one. I've always liked watching him in ancient series but this series sounds interesting. I don't recall Jimmy ever playing the lead role (or at least one of the lead roles) in a modern series. So this is a nice change. Though i still love watching him in ancient series. I hope he continues to do those. I also like his current look for this series. Very cute.

Like maybe something that wraps around the part of the ear lobe that's closer towards the cartilage. I don't know. Just something that looks different. I'm not into the whole plug look either. Those big holes that plugs cause look very permanent.

Oh wow, so Liu He Na will be playing a jewelry counterfeiter, huh? So her character's not exactly so innocent herself. Kinda like Jimmy's character. But i guess the love scene will still have to be more on the mellow side per those set rules.

I wonder how Liu He Na's Chinese is coming along. It's cute that Jimmy doesn't understand a word she says since she's mainly speaking Korean and he has to watch for clues to see when she's done talking.

I'm so used to Jimmy being innocent and all that this should be quite interesting to watch.

I personally prefer the goodboy innocent image too, but it'll be good for Jimmy to become more versatile in his acting skills. As for wigs, I think they meant he needed a wig for ancient series and now he doesn't!

I love his new brown hair! It looks really good. Reminds me of when I dyed my hair the same colour this past summer, but it's back to black now. haha

I hope we get to see some really kool racing scenes, I haven't really seen Jimmy race before. I'm excited! I've been to some real rally races here where I live and they are so awesome! I wonder what kind of racing he's doing in the series?

The new Korean actress is quite cute.. she kinda reminds me of Song Hye Kyo (forget her exact name), the actress from Full House (very cute series!)

I actually thought about what those 2 chinese words meant. They literally mean 'overturning car'. I don't know if they mean something else in Taiwan. Does it mean flipping a car or just having an accident in general? I didn't know that Jimmy flipped a car twice this year. But he said "Overturning car is nothing special. He did that twice this year." So I don't know. I just translate it literally.

Why didn't I take Chinese in college. SIGH!

I think he will do his own stunts. He is better than any stunt men. Besides, it will be good marketing tactics. "Watch this series if you want to see Jimmy Lin doing his own stunts."
