- fifth I have to say that it would be disappointing to know Jimmy was lying to us for 2 or 3 years, but it's his decision and his privacy. He has a right to protect his privacy. Maybe Kelly is not his gf and the rumors gonna end soon.

However I'll allways support him what ever is going to happen and I hope you guys would do the same.

Hmm. I agree with the lying part. When he finally publicly admitted his relationship with Ruby on tv he was obviously very uncomfortable. That's what he got for lying. Ruby did her best to get the upper hand. When asked why he didn't admit it years ago he said something like he treasured his privacy. And now history seems to repeat itself.

However, Jimmy is a very private person. He doesn't want his private life to be front page news. If you searched the web a few days ago the Shanghai pics were on every major/minor showbiz media. It even made it to HK newspaper Singtao. I think he's hoping that it will die down after he denies it. His official forum exploded after this came out. Most fans are reasonable and support him but there are a few who hate Kelly, criticize her look, and say she's not worthy to be his gf. I suppose that's what jimmy is afraid of. He doesn't want a relationship to be killed in its infancy by public outcries. It won't be easy being Jimmy Lin's gf. Not many girls can stand that kind of criticism. I am sure there are paparazzi hounding Kelly as we speak to capture the next intimate photo of them. Jimmy may not be as popular as Jay Chou now but a lot of people are interested in seeing what his gf looks like. In the interview he did for the Businesss Magazine, he said that he would only make announcements after there are results, be it his businesses or his personal life. What I hope is he will make an announcement when he gets married and not hide his wife and kids like some celebs.

I am sure y'all have heard of the recent incidient with that crazy Andy Lau fan. What if that happens to Jimmy.

I've noticed that marriages/relationships that aren't in the public eye are the ones that seem to last in the entertainment industry. I think I understand where Jimmy is coming from and I think it sucks that it means he might have to deny things to the public, but I think it's ok too and respect that. From his perspective, maybe (IF we are accepting the premise that the rumours are true) he really just wants to protect Kelly and cares about her feelings. I mean, now that this is out, so many people are completely criticizing her looks and saying she's not pretty enough blah blah.. and I think he didn't want her to have to go through that. Or go through it early on. I totally respect and see where he is coming from and also understand why fans might feel lied to too.

I don't think he keeps it a secret to keep his "single" image though. Cuz he's said before that many fans wish for him to find a good girl and get marreid one day. So yea, I don't think the single image thing is really the issue. (in my humble opinion)

He didn't mention JR or his software company in that interview. He did said something about his company designs and sells merchandize related to racing. Maybe that's his JR line of accessories.

The andy lau fan incident is a tragedy. This 30 yr old Chinese woman is obsessed with andy. She quitted school at 16, didn't hold any jobs, and devoted all her time to idol worship. Her family indulged her obsession. She is a single child. Her parents are retired. They are not well-off. Her father borrowed money from relatives and the family went to Hong Kong to see andy lau. They went to his fan office and managed to have 1 pic taken with andy. But they demanded more time spent with him alone and were rejected. The father wrote a long nasty letter accusing andy of being cold-blooded and then committed suicide by drowning himself. The mother and daugher went to the press and exposed the letter.

Andy Lau came out and publicly denounced the family. The mother and daughter were pennyless and stuck in Hong Kong.

The media of course fed the frenzy by buying the story from the woman. Public forums exploded with citicism of both the woman, her parents, and andy lau. Some even called for him to marry her. Rumor has it that andy lau is now in hiding to avoid more negative press coverage.

Eva is a mainland CHinese actress while Yue Ling is a Taiwanese actress. Eva is 4 years younger than Jimmy while Yue Ling is quite a bit older, that is why she looks more mature.

Yea, Eva is a lot prettier than Kelly but it is more than looks anyway. I agree about Jimmy lying about his relationships and all. But I also understand that stars want some privacy so I guess I can't blame him too much. I just really hope that he will openly admit it one day....I don't think it makes a difference whether it will last or not based on whether he admits it or not. It just all depends on how he handles it with his future wife/gf. I think whether the girl is in the circle may make a difference, but it really depends. I still support Jimmy but hope he will share his good news with us all soon. It's not like we won't support him anymore if he is married and all... I hope he doesn't think that way. We will be happy for him and support him no matter what...

Oh yea, I am starting to get interested in Jimmy after watching some episodes of FYDXX! Yesterday I started to look for information about him and found out that he is a professional car racer! OMG that's so cool! He is so talented! Can sing, act, race etc! He is great^^

Hmm. i see where you are coming from. If Jimmy marries someone like Liu Yi Fei he will be the one criticized for being not worthy of her by her fans. And I don't see someone like LYF to give up her career and stay behind the scene for him. So Kelly may be his perfect match, assuming that she is the one. It's not just looks anyway. Besides it is indeed hard to find a woman who's better looking than him. I will continue to support him no matter who his gf/wife is.

Yea, I agree that it is way more than looks.... I am glad that he isn't with LYF since I don't really like her, but then again it isn't up to me or anyone who he likes. It shouldn't be his fans' business in the first place what happens in his personal life and who he dates. I think fans get way too attached and then extreme issues like Yang Li Juan occur. Maybe he just wants the media to lay off his back and promote whatever image he has.

The entertainment BUSINESS is exactly what it is, a business for these stars. Of course, they want to say the best of themselves to portray an image that sells well, I can't blame that for wanting that, and I don't think fans should either. It's not like people in other businesses don't lie either.

Hmm. if jimmy said that 'I already have a special someone or whatnot' wouldn't it be worse. Fans and the media would REALLY want to know who that special someone is. It'd whet everyone's appetite and there will be more speculations.
Pararazzi will want that first pic of his gf. When he visited his former high school and asked if he'd a gf by the students he said it was a secret. He used to say no. At least, he is changing tunes now. Anyway, he wasn't lying when he said he was going to get married before 35. Let's cut him some slacks. He just wants his privacy like the rest of us.

I mean a lot of them are open to a number of issues, but when it comes to this issue... A lot of them are pretty low key about it. I'm not going to quote but just respond.

Sure, some fans do become too attached but there are still some that are just fans. At this time and age, fans have become quite lenient in terms of relationships versus before. There have been many popular stars that have announced their relationships and they have maintained their statuses in the ET industry just fine, Daniel Wu, Dylan, Edison, Nicholas, Vic, Jay, Eva, GYY, Alyssa, and so forth. And now, even Jimmy seems to have fare well with the recent exposure. There will always be some crazy fans regardless but it wouldn't be fair to allow that one crazy fan to ruin it all for the rest of the fans.

I just never really thought that Jimmy would view fans as a business type thing, projecting out a fake image just to reach success. Perhaps other celebrities, I wouldn't be too surprised about but Jimmy? Okay, I'm not saying that Jimmy is this pure man no one has touched but Jimmy has always been a bit different than the rest. Jimmy stands out from the rest with his conservative image, bubbly personality, and honesty. I'm not saying that Jimmy is too clean to lie but something this huge? I mean, in his blog, he keeps thanking his fans but now, that's questionable if Jimmy had to lie to maintain his image and such. I would appreciate it if Jimmy just came out with it. If these photos weren't captured, the day of his wedding would be the day we find out and isn't that a bit selfish? Jimmy is afterall a public figure, I understand that whole thing about privacy but before he entered the ET industry, he was already briefed on what to expect, privacy perhaps doesn't really exist for individuals in the ET industry but Jimmy chose to continue forward in it. Jimmy has been in this industry for years, he knows the rules of the game.

Well, one thing I don't understand about stars is, they make fans appear so barbaric, like if they reveal their girlfriend to the public, fans are going to attack her or somewhat. Okay, some fans do get upset and do really extreme things but then again, not all fans are that way and it's quite unfair to judge all fans to be a certain type. Fans are fans, the majority aren't like that, and if the celebrities really sold talent and not just an image, it wouldn't matter whether he's dating or not. Fans are labeled as fans for a reason, they are attached to the artist to a certain extent. Fans have feelings too and to be disappointed isn't a good thing. Fans aren't asking Jimmy to never date, fans are just asking Jimmy to be honest, is that something so difficult to do when these fans have been his supporters all these years?

Well, if Jimmy said, 'My love life isn't empty' or 'I already have someone' just to inform others about that sector of his life and just let the news die, which eventually will, that wouldn't be a problem at all. Even if Jimmy doesn't say that, everyone is still going to be curious and speculate on who Jimmy is currently with, like Yi Fei and the past rumors so mind as well say, 'She's someone not from the ET industry', fans do back off that way and so does the media because a non-ET partner wouldn't make headlines. Kelly is technically not part of the ET industry, she did quit the modelling industry.

And honestly, Jimmy and Kelly aren't very low profile as they try to be either. I mean, come on, Kelly attends so many functions related to Jimmy. If they were already that attached, they were bound to get caught somehow so mind as well be the bigger person and confess whether than getting caught like this and then saying, oooppps, yeah. . .it's been 2-3 years.

At first Jimmy said he was going to get married before he turned 35 and now it's been delayed to after he's 35.

Okay, I guess, I'm still a bit disappointed. I'll get over it soon.

Hm... very long and nice responses Asillysaint... I guess I don't know what to say anymore... I really agree about the part about Kelly going to all of his functions. If they really wanted to be THAT low profile than why is she going to all of his functions and always hanging out with him?? I feel that even if they are close friends, she wouldn't cling to him that much. ALso, the news about him investing in the restaurant for Kelly (if the news is true) is a big give away in terms of whether if they are plainly just "friends" or are more than that.....I also agree about a lot of the stars announcing their love life and are still respected by fans. NOT all fans are alike or are barbaric like some of them might think. I think if it weren't for our support, where would any of them be today??? I must say that I am a little disappointed as well, but I know no one is perfect so I forgive Jimmy for lying. I mean being a fan of his for over 13 years, I began to know the good and bad about him. I also learned to accept them as well.

But I hope he will openly admit to his fans who he is really with since we have been supporting him all of these years, so we do deserve to know who he is with. I don't think that is too much to ask. It would be sad if we will not find out until the day he is married... I would be kind of disappointed if that was the case. I am tired of all these guesses and stuff. Regarding Ruby's issue, I honestly don't like her and thought that she was lying all of these years. But now that I found out that it was Jimmy who was lying, I actually kind of feel sad for Ruby even though I don't like her at all... I just hope Jimmy does not allow history to repeat itself again...
