the video started a storm of protests from fans on jimmy's official site. his assistant wasn't there to meet him at the airport. Ruby's assistant picked her up right away. but jimmy stood there, looked around, and called his assistant on the cell. meanwhile, he was surrounded by layers of ppl who kept snapping pics of him. he looked quite embarrassed but kept smiling. he then walked back into the restricted zone to wait.

his assistant posted a msg apologizing for the mishap. she thought his flight was delayed and didn't go to the airport on time.

thanx ladycoco...although i hv to crank my neck 2 watch it, it's worth it... he looked cute while being mobbed and still trying 2 smile... he's so kind... other celebrities would have pulled a face already, i think...

yeah, that's what i think too. if reporters photographed them arriving at the airport on the same flight and at the hotel in the same car imagine the scandal. if they were not celebs she would've given him a ride as a friend.

Reporters came to the temporary tent city for quake victims in 都江堰市. The tent city school opens today. One 4th grade teacher told us that there are 200 studnets and all the teachers are volunteers. Jimmy Lin and 5 other stars came to the 1st and 2nd grade classroom. The students were very excited to see him and surrounded him asking for autographs. Some stood on the tables and tried very hard to press their books and pencils to jimmy’s face.

On 5/25/08 Jimmy Lin and 5 other stars flew into Chengdu, Sichuan to participate in the “5.12 Youth Charity – Star Volunteers action”.
Jimmy told the children in the disaster area: “I hope that you won’t give up. Don’t be discouraged. There are more work to be done in the future. Our country needs rebuilding and we will be by your side.”
The star volunteers got psychiatric training from professionals after they got to Chengdu. They will travel to several schools in the disaster area between 5/25 and 5/27 to comfort the students. jimmy has left Sichuan. he visited the schools in 4 cites from 5/25 to 5/27. I am in the middle of dl'ing the videos from his official site. it's so slow. i am amazed that there r jimmy fans in every city he visited who went to see him at the hotel and followed him to the schools. they posted their blogs on jimmy's site. i will translate them later. one quote from a MALE fan who went to see him outside the hotel on 5/27: "He looks so handsome this morning, so radiant. I saw Zhong Tian Qi from 5 yrs ago."
