I've been his fan for 8 years since I watched jue da shuang jiao, but I know nothing about him till I found this site. His sweet smile and friendly glint made a strong impression on me since the first time I saw him. Then, I began to watch all his dramas, movies and heard all his songs. I love his soft voice. It make me feel better whenever I get mad . Now I admire him more because he's so talented and kind-hearted. He's the most perfect man that I've known and I'm so proud to be his fan .

Kid1412, wow 8 yrs! i didn't know.
well, i am just a new fan compared to u. i didn't know who he was b/4 06. I watched TLBB at a friend's house and saw him as Duan Yu. I was immediately attracted to his handsome face. don't ask me why but i thought he was japanese. i found out who he was and started to research on him. and WOW he is a pro car racer. he looks so cool in racing outfit. NASCAR is big in my neck of the woods. i watch races on tv too. so that got me REALLY interested in him. i followed his racing in 06. he was then participating in rally races in china and formed his own racing team. he also came out with his new album. so there were lots of news about him. i watched his old movies online and bought some really trashy ones that he made when he was young. LOL.

honestly i think he's better looking now. he was just a cute boy but he's mature and handsome now and so manly when he races.

as Kid1412 said, his smile is so sweet and attractive. but i notice lately that his smile in front of the camera is sometimes forced. maybe he's indeed tired of smiling for the camera. his friends all say nice things about him. he seems to be a genuine nice guy. all the ppl who worked with him have nothing but nice things to say about him. he forms lasting friendships with his co-workers.

ppl said he was stupid to give up his career at its peak to join the army but i think he's a man of integrity. he didn't try to find excuses or fake illnesses to dodge the draft like some other actors. he has my respect for that. he went thru 2 yrs of low-pt in his life after he was discharged from the army. he didn't mellow in self-pity but instead reinvent himself by pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a racer despite the objections from his own family. the media scoffed at his racing and his peers doubted him. everyone thought he was just doing it for show. but he succeeded and became a pro racer, shattering everyone's image of him as just a pretty boy. he also went into businesses and made himself a multi-millionaire. he is a talented man despite his cute babyface.

i hope he doesn't give up his racing career all together. i love to see him on the race tracks and on the winners' podium spraying champagne. i look forward to seeing him in power boat races. he seems to be most happy when he's racing. he once said that when he races he is doing something that he loves and doesn't have to please anyone.

during 1 of the press conf after the musical, charlene was amazed at what jimmy can do. she said he is quite something. he can race car, act, and run businesses. jimmy was so cute when he was embarrassed.

it's so quiet now. don't know what he's up to lately. did he actually go to Dubai to train for power boat racing? his manager said he was going to in nov 08 but postponed the trip after he accepted the musical job, which was a smart move. the musical was an all-time success from all the media reports.

wow ladycoco, I thought you'd been his fan for 10+ yrs b/c you know everything about him . I began to like him when I was 10. At that time, my country was under-developed, no PC, no internet so I didnt even know who he was but his vietnamese name: Lâm Chí Dĩnh. I'd loved many stars before but he's the only one that make me really crazy . He seems to be very different from other stars: more talented, more kind-hearted and no scandle (this's the most important thing). Hope he'll get more successes in the future not only in showbiz but also in racing.

Kid1412, hid long-time fans ul'ed lots of his old tv shows and interviews on youtube. i think i've watched them all. that's how i got to know him, from his own mouth. the ones that impressed me most r the interview he did with his dad in 06 and the one he did in 03. his dad told some funny stories about how naughty he was as a kid. in the 03 interview his friends talked about him. he doesn't smoke or drink. his only 'bad' habit is racing. yeah, i also like his clean image and no scandals.

it's so quiet now. where's jimmy? is he really in Dubai? if so hope he's safe. don't know much about power boat racing but it sounds so dangerous. what if 2 power boats crash during a race and the racers fall into the sea. do they wear any floatation vests.

Hi! guys it's been so quite in here Where are u guys?

Okey, anyway here's my story...

In 1999, I watched Legendary Siblings. God it's almost 10yrs from my first sight. Anyway LS was really awesome, and FeiYu (XiaoYu) was quite funny, interesting and intelligent. I got illness of LS. As soon as I get home, I waited to watch... Sometimes my mum forced me to do my HW But I always found a way to watch my xiaoyu ...


After LS, I hadn't heard and seen him until 06. In 06 I watched LS2. I hadn't dreamt about I would watch other XiaoYu. It was also wonderful. After that I wanted to learn more about him, but I couldn't found him (I only knew LS's name in my own language) until I watch Madam White Snake. Cuz Liu Tao was played in TBLL. Finally I found my little fish

XiaoYu's real name is Jimmy Lin, As soon as I knew it, I made necklace by his name...But I lost it Anyway I'll get another one.

And I really shocked, when I heard He's pro racer lol. I couldn't believe, his face is not that kinda (means not sporty). It was really amazing. Then I knew his 3 bones broke because of racing. So I’m not that happy about his racing career, now he's trying Power boat racing I'm really worried about him. That power boat racing seems more dangerous than racing on the ground, if he get hurt...But it's his own interest, I'll respect it. When he talks about his car, he seems the happiest one in this world.

I remember LS's theme song Heyao Heyao (you know I don't know chinese) After I knew he sang that song, I listened his other songs. And it was great, his voice is soft and clear... I loved it.

I started to watch his other movies and series. I'm really happy to see his babayface. Oh one thing ; I really disappointed when I heard about Ruby Lin(cuz I heard before that she's so unkind person) But now It's alright... And I hope he'll marry before I die

About His Army life, He shocked me again I’ve never heard that kind of thing before... it wasn't a few months or a yr, it was 2 yrs. How interesting! When he talks about his army life, He looks ordinary guy not idol.

I really hadn't imagined he's multi-milliner. Do u know what? I thought before he's not that popular and may be he's poor one...

Oh Almost forget! About his age, I really didn't notice his age, because his babyface looks 25 or 27. When I knew his age, my heart was almost stopped, because My Love turned into impossible But don't worry I Still Believe!

Actually I think I'm real lazy one, but he's quite opposite. He does what he purposed and wanted. But I don't. I'm just dreamer. I really want to change. Sometimes I get energy of hardworking from him. It makes me better. May be it's my real reason of admiring him

december_snow, u don't have to worry about him being poor. he's one of the weathiest entertainers in taiwan. he owns many businesses. i did some research. he owns a racing advisory company, a car dealership, a restaurant, an online shop, an IT company, a racing team, stocks and real estates in taipei, shanghai, and beijing. he spends lots of money on his 5 very expensive sports cars and 1 motorcycle (his 5 wives and 1 gf).

In a vietnamese article, they said that he's one of the richest artists in taiwan. They called him 'King of car' or 'King of speed' or sth like that

don't know what cell phone he uses but this is the MIO cell phone he showed off in 06 on tv shows. his house in taipei is completely wired for remote access. he can control over 100 appliances in his house from anywhere on this planet, anywhere that has cell coverage. he can turn on the stove/tv/air conditioning/lights, draw the curtains. his house is super high-tech. the host said he lives the life of 007. this software is sold by his IT company.



the control on the screen says air conditioning, curtains, living room LED, front door LED, star lights, kitchen stove, etc.

what do u guys think about shaolinsi 2 so far. i've watched 6 eps so far. it's mostly fighting. i don't like fighting so i am ff'ing. just read that Lishimin will 1st appear in ep 31. OMG. have to sit thru 30 eps of boring fighting stuff to see HIM. his name is 2nd on the list of actors (2nd male lead) after the leading male Yuan Biao. but Yuan starts appearing in ep 1. Jimmy is no where to be seen.
