Kid1412, WHAT! YOU WATCHED IT!!! i wasn't even able to connect. it was always 4% buffering. i couldn't see a thing. i've been waiting for some kind souls to ul it.

someone just ul'ed a VERY rough version that she took of the screen. quality is bad and i can't even make out most of what he said. my mandarin is poor enu. i have to wait for a news report tomorrow or someone post the transcript.

i finished watching the vid. the car is beautiful. it even has a jimmy doll on the side. there were a large crowd at the press conf. jimmy is even more dashing in a racing suit. any idea when and where the 1st race is?
i wish i could hear what he said.

Jimmy Lin signed with the Guangxi Speedone Racing Team, unveiled million dollar race car. Will not give up racing.

On Mar 1, Guangxi racing received the most famous star racer, Jimmy Lin. The signing ceremony was held at the Nanning Hotel. Jimmy said the spirit of racing is to never give up.

Screaming! “Lin Sky King” arrived at Nanning
From the time his flight landed at the Nanning Airport to the signing ceremony in the evening, everywhere Jimmy Lin went there were screaming fans. “Lin Sky King”’s charisma is unbelieveable.

Jimmy Lin flew from Shanghai to Nanning, arriving at 2pm. There were already several hundred fans waiting for him in the cold for more than an hr. When he appeared at the gate fans went wild. Several bold and lucky ones rushed up to him and hugged him, refusing to let go. He couldn’t move because of Guangxi’s zealous fans. Workers from Speedone had to clear the way for him to get in the waiting car.

The signing ceremony was to be held at 8pm at the Nanning Hotel, but there were fans who came at 5pm to secure the best position to greet their idol. There were more than 2000 fans waiting by 7pm. The metal rail guards were twisted out of shape. More workers had to be sent for to hold up the rails. At 8:15pm Jimmy finally arrived amid screams. The fans’ camera flashes almost overpowered the flashes of the professional cameramen. One fan told reporters that she liked Jimmy for many yrs. After she read in the news a few days ago that jimmy was coming to Nanning she came from Qinzhou just to see her idol.

Strive! Won’t give up racing
After receiving the symbolic Speedone steeling wheel Jimmy was interviewed by the media. According to Jimmy, he joined the Speedone Racing Team and will race for the team in 3 China Rally Championship races. He will do his best in every race. He said he had raced for many teams before. He is joining a new team this time and will use the latest model of race car. He hopes it will bring his racing career a new change and breakthrough.

Even though he hasn’t raced in the last 2 yrs he hasn’t put racing down. He added racing elements into the tv series he filmed. As a Libra, he is adept at managing time and energy for his many careers and doing his best in every aspect. Between showbiz and racing he tries to merge racing with showbiz, making movies about racing. He will add the experience with the Speedone Racing Team into a future movie about racing. He also wants to make racing entertaining and promote the sports of racing so more people who like racing can get to understand and enjoy racing.

He names his new race car “The Little Whirlwind” and hopes it will bring him good luck in races. Lastly, he said that during a race he always strives to the last moment and doesn’t give up. It motivates him to do his very best. He encourages people who like racing not to give themselves too much pressure. Strive for the best after understanding their abilities. Racing is an ongoing journey to beat your own record.

Unite! Good Results for the year
During the signing ceremony, team captain Tam Zhou Yong and racer Tu Rong Zheng also talked about their racing concepts.

Tam said the team gave a lot of considerations when shoosing a star racer to sign. They finally decided on Jimmy because he is the fastest star racer. The new racing season will start soon. With Jimmy’s joining the team will gain more experience. The whole team and the new racers will work hard to get good results.

Reporters asked Tu if Jimmy’s joining will put pressure on him. Tu said he and jimmy were old teammates in another team. They’ve been buddies for many yrs. There is no pressure from racing with him this time. It will motivate the team to excel. He believes that Jimmy’s joining will unite this young team so they can get good results in the coming racing season.

Jimmy new race car is also unveiled. All the parts used in the remodelling are the best. Remodelling cost 600,000 rmb. The total cost is over 1M rmb.
